Just more of a Danzig era guy. I feel like the style of music they play on those records, in combination with Danzig's like goth Elvis voice, is the best Misfits package.
Yeah Danzig's vocals are awesome, I fully expected my list to look just like this when we first scheduled the video, but something about American Psycho hooked me, still think "Walk Among Us" the song is one of their most underrated.
Glenn is the man! Gotta hear You and Me (Less Than Zero) it was originally written for Roy Orbison to sing. Glenn even used a different band and style when singing it.
The logo was The Crimson Ghost, which was just ripped off from an old horror movie of the same name. The font is from the Famous Monsters magazine. The name was taken from Marilyn Monroe's final movie.
I'm glad you guys talked about the collections and singles. Halloween is one of the best Misfits songs. But there's also Evilive 1, Evillive 2, and Cuts From The Crypt that I think would have been cool to talk about. Cuts From The Crypt is a fantastic album in my opinion.

Where would you guys put Legacy of Brutality? Songs like Where Eagles Dare and Halloween are so iconic. The Misfits discography is definitely confusing though based on how songs/albums were released compared to when they were recorded.

This was a good ranking overall,I'm a big danzig era Misfits fan but man the Graves era really brought the Misfits back on the scene songwriting was really good.I seen the Misfits when they were touring American psycho awesome show,then I seen them again when they toured with Famous Monsters.Crazy thing is when I seen them during that tour Graves wasn't there they had the singer I think from the band Ignite for the whole show which was messed up.Years later after what I heard about the whole beef with Graves and the Misfits they left him at the airport and wondered if that's why they had someone else filling him for him almost as if it was planned most likely from Jerry Only.Kinda wish they could have kept Graves in the band obviously no matter what jerry does he can't carry the band as a lead.
If you take out the best three songs it’s a C so you rank it a C? But it has those songs.
Of course the original Danzig era is classic but I always liked the Graves era a lot. After that version of the band ended in 2001 they probably shoulda called it quits lol until the Danzig reunion anyways

The remove the 3 best songs from the record is an argument I didn't expect. I agree with you though, there are a lot of great tracks on there, such a great debut!
Oh dudes ... You can't compare the real Misfits, means Glenn Danzig is the singer and songwriter, with the other records. Static Age and Walk Among Us are alltime classics, absolutely awesome!!!
I first heard them in grade school in 89 when i heard a dubbed tape of Walk Among Us and Earth AD and that was about it. Our wonderful daughter told me that the Misfits logo is alive and well in her high school as it worn by the "posers" who couldn't name 5 songs!
I think that's been the majority of misfits shirt wearers for a few decades haha. That was me in 9th grade too actually. I think I knew Last Caress and Hybrid Moments 😉

Project 1950 sucks lol I bought it the day it came out and was so disappointed. Plus it’s a covers album. Devils Rain is pretty bad too. Lol
