    In this video I try to make my old 2007 Porsche Cayenne Turbo like new by fixing all the faults. There are quite a few such as a leaky roof, smoke from the exhaust, faulty electrics and many more. How much will all this cost me? Watch the video to find out.

    11,000 pounds for a 500 hp old Porsche is not bad at all. You can’t get any fantastic car like this for this price.

      In Germany you can get these cars for free. You have to pay triple the price for gas in a year. Nobody wants that

    • @85NickT
      @85NickT Місяць тому +50

      @@HansPeter.MrUniverse You say nobody wants that, but it depends on how many miles you do. I only do about 2500-3000 in my silly second car (not a Porsche). If it did 30mpg that would cost me about £700 per year in fuel. If it does 20mpg it costs me £1050. Even if you only get 15mpg it's going to cost you an extra £700. £350 per year isn't a big price to pay for the lols. You could buy a much newer, very fuel efficient car, but A) You won't have as much fun and B) You can lose more in depreciation in a couple of years than my entire car cost, including fuel and the occasional unexpected repair bill.

      I had a 1978 Porsche 924 (I know VW Porsche but looked good) It needed a new cigarette lighter so I could use my radar detector. Went to Porsche to see what I needed and how much. (Before internet like today) They told me what I needed and was around $60 to $70. They told me to go to the auto parts store and buy a VW one. I did and like $12. I do like how some brands you can interchange the parts and bypass the brand increase in price. I am sure Lexus and Acura do the same.

    Ok it's about content creation, but I like the content! The amount of debris in the engine bay was mind blowing. I like to use OPC's as my cars are quite new, but I'm not sure I'd have given them an '07 model as I think a good Indy (and we probably all know one or two of those) would have done the work for a much lower price, depending on how much the standard OPC rate is discounted by for a classic. My thought was that for not much money overall, Matt now has a very nice car. Yes it guzzles gas, but if you don't do many miles or can afford the cost it's a hell of a car!

    Great stuff Matt, that’s a great car. You did take a big risk though. What’s it worth in that condition? What would you get for it? I really like it, get the body scratches sorted and maybe the right wheels. What discount did you get from being a classic Porsche? Nice daily driver/ good family car although maybe has a bit of a thirst.👍🏻😎😎

    Matt are you sure it's not an actual ICU that your Cayenne is in. Lots of organs I mean parts missing plus it's all jacked up. Car Vertical is a very amazing bit of tool. Honestly overall not bad the unit u have. Was a pretty good catch.

    Miss my 08 Cayenne badly. was just too expensive to maintain and run.
    Get a stage 1 tune. should make it fly with an extra 50hp

    The 500£ for earwindow wipers was not necessary.

    obviously it will cost more than it is worth, however the cost will be offset a fair amount by a your satisfaction when it is all sorted and also the car will actually be worth more than pre-sorting the issues!

    Considering you said it drives like a new car and when new it was about £80,000 I think you’ve got a bargain paying just over 1/8 of the original cost 👍

    My Cayenne’s wiper arm took a blow torch and cutting to get it off! They’re a nightmare…

    I’m curious if the PCV system is overloading your intake with oil. If so just replacing the intercooler hose would only be a temporary fix.

    That one service costs as much as all the lifetime maintenance and repairs combined on my 2009 Prius with 330K miles on it (me doing all the maintenance...oil and filter changes, trans fluid, coolant, spark plugs, brake fluid, one set of brake pads and rotors, cabin air filters, etc).
