Back when I got into selling clothing (started selling with hard goods) if I didn’t find anything that day…I took it as a sign that I needed to list items I already had. 😊
Possible merch idea---Tee shirt (made from quality fabric, of course) That says "I am not shipping another lamp" with a drawing of Karen's cart with a large lamp. Again, you bring sunshine to my day EVERY time I watch you!!

We need to embrace the colors of the 70's again. The young people are loving everything from the 50's, 60's, and 70's. Even bell bottoms are coming back.

At 10:18 the cookie jar behind the cat is a cookies all over jar. Pretty collectable. It's not the most sought after one, but it's good

What I have been told about "Cut vs Pressed" glass is that cut glass is sharp...much sharper on the cuts than pressed is

Those wooden carved plates!? The sun burst looking one to me could fit in mcm Scandinavian. I bought a carved bread plate that may go for $120.-140.00. I always google lens stuff when I’m not sure.

Hand Carved Wooden Plate: I’d say the design is a Sun, rather then a Nautical “Compass Rose”, since all the rays are the same length. On a Compass Rose, the cardinal points (N, S, E, W) tend to be longer then the others (Nw, Sw, etc).

I’m keeping my out for that glass lidded dish. I have a thing for candy/biscuit glass jars. That would be perfect to keep candy on my desk at work so others can partake of the candy as well.
That teak tray is not for bathroom lol. It’s for on the table for snacks.
Originally maybe...but thrifting is fun to think creatively. I use teacups for Storage, plates for under plants...and so on

I am a thrifter for 35 years my home is full of crystal marble and wood tables crystal vintage lamps royal albert murano all kinds of clothing fur coats leather bags coat Michael kors antiques and all sorts of things. I am only on old age pension me and my husband and he works part time union/Flagger/old age pension. My basement is full to the ceiling of loads of collectibles in boxes and bins all I am saying is what do you want to spend your time on/TIME IS VERY IMPORTANT. I think they cut glass container with the top is probably like for scones or sweet biscuits or cookies. Also I would try and see whether there is a signature and use your backlight on it
Hey Karen, hubby and I stopped at the Shillington farmers market Saturday then popped into the goodwill there. I bought nothing because the place was picked clean. But caught a glimpse of Rodger in the checkout line, guessing you were probably there too, but we were heading out the door. Great things in your cart.

I pick up old Bibles all the time too! My table is currently coved with them I’m bow looking for a good vintage bookshelf to hold them. A couple need recovered they are so old. ❤❤❤

28:27 I would have grabbed the wooden plates for myself to dupe a riser. I love finding the wooden bowls, cutting boards and boxes. For resale I think the plates would have sold local or nearby Karen. Maybe even a wooden lot like you did the 3x ladies pants. 🥰

When I was selling I did so well from the clear glass section. Mind you I never picked up press glass, just high quality crystal and especially French crystal. Loved that first wooden plate - excellent find.
I sell anything but pretty much stay away from electronics because I can't test them. I hate mailing breakables but do buy a few. Mailed a 16" ceramic xmas tree this yr and held my breath but it made it. I buy those foam rubber mattress covers. They look like egg cartons and mail most breakables padded with it. Works great. I double box most too. Love the videos.

Hi neighbor! Surprised I didn't run into you this weekend as I was hitting up all the Goodwills in Lancaster/Dauphin counties to take advantage of the 50% off! You didn't mention it in the video but did you put the hanging light back from Lincoln Hwy? I was sure I saw it there Friday night. I love that Roger is your thrift buddy...my man sits in the car playing on his phone....for hours! Happy hunting!!
Also, the clear glass covered jar is likely Polish cut crystal, could date back to the '80s. Can be used for cookies or fruit salad. I sold a similar one not long ago.
Teak Woods natural resistance to water is why it was so popular for classic wooden boat fittings and outdoor garden benches.
I could not see the painted lamp closely enough, but if you familiarize yourself a bit with old Chinese (and Japanese) painted ceramic you will realize there is a certain "primitive" quality about them... the complete opposite of say, Italian Rennaissance painting style... I hope I am making some sense 😇
