Totally understand and forgive mispronouncing words due to tiredness ,but it is sooo funny. The answer is always hell YES!
Gourds grow on a vine. They are used to make bird houses, Wrens love them! Artist paint designs and they sell for big bucks at festivals. Also you can make utensils from gourds. The ones you have is an apple gourd, I paint them in October for pumpkins. There are basket gourds, long gourds and other varieties.
I've got a friend who takes gourds and punches little tiny holes in them to create lighted designs. He puts a light inside. They are beautiful.
And back in the olden days gourds were used to scoop water from a water barrel, used as bowls, etc. These days they are grown to use as crafts and sell for a pretty penny. Some grow the gourds simply to sell to crafters.
Do you need to dry them out? How do you do that?
@@debraphelan6072 I’m not sure but we let them dry on the vine in the sun.
@@debraphelan6072 you set them up on a shelf in your shed or garage, then they will get moldy, must be soaked in water and washed away. Set in sun to dry, turning brown and the inner seeds will rattle when gourd is shaken, then you drill a hole into the gourd & remove the seeds.

I was one of Peacock Alley’s first design retailers, back in the 1990’s. It was a privilege to get to know the owners personally and witness their much justified pride and excitement in their creations. Their product is heirloom quality! I have several bedding pieces from them that have been in use since the mid 90’s. They remain in like new condition and my nieces have already laid claim to them. I told them they have a VERY long wait! 😂
What I love about the way you two conduct business is that you will pay extra to somebody of their giving you a steal of a deal, but you’re fair to yourselves, too! Plus, you seem to be ok when you discover that you have given your customers a great deal , rather than figuring out how to extract every last penny from them. I hope that makes sense.

Gourds are non edible fruits of cucumbers, summer, winter squash and pumpkins. My mother used to dry out the squash ones and when you do that they rattle ,like maracas. Which for us kids, we thought was pretty cool. That church sale was flippin awesome! Holy Cow! What scores! Love the video!
Power team! Great couple, I've said this before, I'm so glad you found each other! I watched Matt's channel when he was on his own, although it is a wonderful channel, just something awesome about combining the channels! Two great compatible people doing what they love and sharing it will all of us!

Onggg! This was such a great video! I have not seen either of you this excited as you were at the 50 cent church sale in forever! Kayla when you were under the table and showing the king sized blanket and the stockings, you were sooo excited at this point, I thought you were going to pop! Itbeas so adorable! And, Matt when you came over to share your finds with Kayla in the the box, your eyes were shining and you were sooo excited and happy! I was sooo happy for you both too! You guys hit the jackpot at this sale and it was well deserved! Sooo glad you kept going in. The Pawley's hammock, the snow thrower, the stripe maker, heart basket and everything to was sooo over the top amazing, I am still in shock over it myself! Great job and finds! Wow! Kayla the stone pieces are called chops, persons initials on the bottom. You would have a tin of bright red "ink" to stamp the chop it is thick not runny. Chops are put on letters, art pieces etc. Sometimes the top carving is zodiac sign animal. Great find. Man in the boat is cool too! Great finds! ❤

I live in Lafayette,In Purdue Campus is just across the bridge that goes over the Wabash River, and you are in West Lafayette, home of the Purdue Boilermakers. I'm less than a mile from the middle of campus. Purdue is the leading college on Nano Technology and Aerospace I believe. Fun fact, more astronauts have came from Purdue than any other college,including Neil Armstrong. Ok awesome find Kayla and Matt! So cool

Amazon sells 100 ft extension cords made for cold weather for the snow thrower. I've got one and it is amazing! My neighbors were jealous with how fast I cleaned my driveway and walks with the snow thrower.

Those torn spreads and quilts will sell to people that craft with them. My daughter makes pillows out of Vtg quilts and spreads etc

You could put a clothesline (and clothes pins) on one of your walls to hang the blankets on and hang clothing on hangers to photograph..might be easier and it’s pretty bright in your inventory room.😊 wonderful thrifts especially at the church sale!👍🏻
I had that first candle holder (wall scone) that Matt oicked up at the church sale. I got a set if 2 in the 80s from Home Interiors.
I get excited every time you say Chanel. And then I realize you mean Chenille (pronounced Sheh-Kneal) and I giggle to myself. Also not a bad idea to pick up torn chenille. People use it to DIY pillow cases or smaller blankets.
