Learn about the fastest way to use Siri Shortcuts - right from the Notification Center. In this video, I teach you how to set up your custom shortcuts so they'll work well in the Shortcuts widget.
This way you can interact with Siri, but don't always have to use your voice. But, when you still don't want to type, you can dictate into the Shortcuts widget as well.

...and here I thought I wouldn't learn anything about Shortcuts in the widget. I didn't know about the numpad and ability to dictate from there! Great video Matthew, keep up the good work.

One small addition. There is a way to leverage text entry from the widget without it popping you into the full-blown shortcut. Simply use “Ask for input” under the Scripting section. Worked a charm in my Smart Caffeine Logger shortcut (routinehub.co/shortcut/314)

Hello Matthew, I need your help. Whatever you are doing with Siri Shortcuts app can I do same thing inside my application with the help of Siri kit (intents) ? For example : If i invoke Siri and say off the fan execute different function and if I say on the fan then different function will execute and these both operation will perform by adding single Siri Shortcut name (suppose) MyFanApp. How can I do this in iOS 13. Please help.

I used Stringify with Siri Shortcuts to add a lot of extra functionality to my IOT devices such as Tado, Nest, Neato and Arlo. Sadly however they shit this service down on the 8th and I am therefore looking for powerful alternatives. Would be great if you could do a video on this?

Hi Matthew, I love working with the shortcuts. But what I can’t find anywhere, can I use shortcuts to change a setting? For example I want to set the notification of WhatsApp off (work phone). I think it’s not possible but maybe you have a solution? Greets from the Netherlands

This video’s actually a bit old! They redesigned the widget in iOS 14 - it is odd that there’s less shortcuts that fit, but try stacking multiple Shortcuts widgets (up to 10 of them in one pile) and you can get up to 80 in one space!
