"she's no good to us dead."
sounds like a Boba Fett reference.
It’s is
Because it is, I can’t believe they miss this one.
Why does everyone want it to be boba fett he took his helmet off in the movie which means he is not a mandalorian!!!
Nethanael Roberts only the foundlings are not allowed to remove their helmets
@@nethanaelroberts6102 boba fett never took his helmet off in a movie, and regardless he was only a clone.. and mando isnt even mandalorian, he was taken in by them.. and i'm sure that some mandalorians didnt even own armour.. can u imagine, a whole race of people, all wearing helmets, all the time? how did they ever have children?
I feel like the inclusion of the Tuscan Raiders is more than just nostalgia. They were humanised for the first time on screen and shown to have more of a culture than just screaming and raiding. It was a small part of the episode but probably one of my favourite parts of the series. The small but efficient exposition dumps are so goooood.
Alri Ya i agree it was quite enjoyable
I was thinking the same thing. Expected it to be a fight, and it turned out, they just don't want people crossing their land.
Yeah and seeing them do sign language? Really inventive and effective
I loved that part. I hope Dave Filoni wrote that since he’s basically an extension of George Lucas. It’s interesting and believable that from the view we are given of them previously they only seemed like complete savages to us.
Don't forget the Jawas
anyone else a little scared baby yoda was gonna get whiplash when he did the top gun move?
If they hurt him I SWEAR TO GOD I will find them and I will kill them
Why would he? They're in space. The only gravity is the artificial gravity of the ship. There wouldn't be the change in the direction of momentum that cause whiplash is say a car crash
@T Mac This is the way
✋🏼
Collin Coots yes!
There's no blaster mark because Han Solo was the only one that shot*.
Or... they cleaned it up. You know. Must be a lot of blaster shots in there if no one calls the po po when Han kills greedo
They changed it later now they both shoot
Han Shooted firsts!
Shot* 🤣🤣
@@ninjaeddy1717 *Han shooted ONLY. There was no second shot.
So what is Baby Yoda walking speed like? At times he can barely take steps but other moments he’s like Jason and Michael Myers teleporting. Does he use the force to go faster or what? Haha
Randy GBH Haha I thought about this too, but it's not unlike Yoda. Attack of the Clones where he barely hobbles out to greet Dooku and then does all kinds of flips then he casually picks up his cane and hobbles about.
It's called the force
Force speed is an actual ability. Obi wan and Qui-gon use it in Episode 1.
He runs around like Chucky
Alex K You can also see it in later seasons of Game of Thrones.
Imagine bill burr just shows up and starts ranting on how much of a hassle it is to kill bounty’s then take the bodies back I can just hear it lmao
Then starts talking about his bounty hunter wife haha
Something's really off with the volume levels of the clips and the narrative
@@MontgomeryWenis yeah, it's gotten noticeably distracting for me now.
Not good when I have to keep adjusting my vol while watching
For real, I was looking for this comment. I love this channel, but adjusting volume so my ears dont explode is not enjoyable.
you must use the compression, young rockstars.
Cad Bane Live action would be dope !
It would, but the clone wars killed him off
MONSTER VAUGHN not canonically
MONSTER VAUGHN technically they did in an unfinished episode so it doesn’t count as canon
Heard it could be Boba Fett. 🤷🏻♂️
@@LionsOfJudah_ did you not see him get eaten to shreds by the sarlacc pit lol
You see the mystery character kneel and in the next episode you hear meesaaaaa back as he ignites a red lightsaber
Something that should of stayed dead
Jar Jar Binks being a Sith Lord is a thing that fans came up with he's referencing that
Jar-jar is probaly alive, MEESA AM THE SENATE
That's an R5 unit not an R2 unit
(I know I'm a nerd)
Weston Kraus damn son
Don't worry, I was going to point it out too.
Do you really need to clarify you're a nerd on this channel?
@@commaJim that's true. I now fully embrace the nerd side of the force
R5-D4 is the shit!
“The Mandalorian kills him, as he f**king should”
😂😂has me dead bc i was thinking the same exact thing when i first saw the episode
Their ride through the desert had very “Easy Rider” vibes.
Also, I thought the actor playing Toro was familiar and he’s Bobby Canavale’s son.
very cool, I thought he looked familiar
Funny, I did think he looked familiar
Explains how he got the role I thought his acting was bad
The average Movie goer there was room for improvement 🤷🏽♀️🤣
Some overlayed the Chips theme song... gold.
Kevin feige: I'm the king of Easter eggs and call backs
Dave Filoni: Hold my beer
More like hold my lightsaber
*Jon Favreau
In the cantina, theirs a blaster hole behind Mando, where Greedo sat
Maclunkey?
So basically they confirmed in canon that Han shot first
GREEDO SHOT FIRST
Elliott Lars Olsen no where Han shot greedo
Elliott Lars Olsen then why did Han need to dodge?
I hope she’s not dead. I love her character and she’s an amazing actress
1:30 Mando hates droids cause they cheat at Sabacc
cad bane is dead, boba went and killed him in a western style battle
It's not canon
It was in clone wars, so it is
Been waiting for this forever even though it came out yesterday
It technically did if you don't live on the west coast.
Lovecat Productions hmm
I think it is Boba Fett cause of the spurs on the back of the boots. They make the same/similar noise to the ones Boba makes when he walks in Empire.
Could be a red herring, but yeah -
That's exactly what I thought ~
Did anyone else notice the weighted Companion Cube in the Mos Eisley cantina?
Where
That's just what crates look like in the Star Wars universe. You see them all over the place.
Unless one of them actually had a heart on it.
Vegas Cuervo Really? I’ve never seen one like that before but I may have just missed them.
DANIEL GARBER the one I first noticed is just outside the cantina and you can see it easily next to the door as mando walks out at 10:30 in episode 5.
The leg covers on the person kneeling at the assassin look identical to Mando's. Same colors and damage marks. Remember, it was his LEFT leg that got the upgrade, while his RIGHT still has the old red and blue Durasteel armor on it.
When the mysterious caped figure walked to Fennick’s body his boots made a clanking sounds like spurs that a cowboy would wear. Maybe that’s “the gunslinger”
I heard it too.
Love the baby back pack line. My wife got all inspired and painted baby Yoda in a cool baby carrier on Mando.
Toro Calican: holds gun at baby Yoda. Me: "Kirby has found your sin unforgivable."
I love how it’s always sand planets.
Keeps the old Western vibe
I don't like sand
Less expensive to film in the middle of nowhere. Helps the budget.
The Bounty Hunter in the dog fight with the Mandalorian at the beginning of this episode is named Riot Mar and his ship is a modified Z-95 Headhunter
Ian Samuels I thought it was weird they didn’t mention that. Thank you
I'm 90% convinced it's Boba Fett who escaped the pit... which would be like 5 years later? "Emergency Awesome" break down video points out a unique detail that I completely missed on 1st watch, but if you listen this unknown character has boot spurs which you can hear as he walks... Boba Fett has spurs as well, which can be heard in Empire Strikes back... maybe it's a bit of a stretch? but I think it's very plausible and possible a deep deep nod... Mandalorian VS Mandalorian season finish? sweeeeet
Plausible theory but I’m pretty sure cad bane has spurs too
Boba fett is not mandolorian jango is boba is a clone srry I’m a 🤓
@@cbfett7595 as of yet jango isn't a mandalorian either, the only comment we've had on it was the prime minister saying he wasn't actually mando
i really been enjoying the series
Honestly I would love if the mysterious character is boba fett
Good one!
It is boba fett😂
Idk why so much people thinks it’s boba fett because he died in episode 6 return of the Jedi and the mandolin takes place about 5 years after in the story line
Gabriel Allen well he didn’t actually die. In legends he escapes, so hopefully he will be in the Mandalorian
So the entire episode I thought The Gunslinger title was talking about current characters but I think its pointing toward the character at the end. I'm really hoping that it's Cade Bane. His character had some of the best development in the Clone Wars and he is still just kind of MIA in canon as far as his fate goes. Also when I heard the spurs as our mystery hunter was walking up he was the first person I thought of from the established character base.
@Rebel_without_ a_cause "in an unfinished episode"...so technically NOT canon.
by the way Baby yoda's given nickname now is "Bright Eyes"
Yeah good luck with that
Disney refers to Baby Yoda as only "The Child"
That would be a Planet of The Apes nod!
As a huge fan of Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, I would like to point out that the droid was also the goal of the mission from mission set 1 "Droid Recovery" and the port he drops into is also decorated like the other mission on the same planet.
The footsteps
The dialogue
Like hell that ain't Boba
Where can i buy that "i believe in rick grimes" t-shirt?!
Yas!!!
Who else got excited for Steve Blum, not from Star Wars but COD zombies? DEMPSEY
Samuel Cuaresma Wait what?
I know him as Wolverine in certain animated shows
legit wish I had the talent of Steve Blum. He is awesome in everything and used in everything.
Samuel Cuaresma YEESSS I LOVE DEMPSEY
7:31 The detail on his legs suggests that it was Mando himself coming back to retrieve Shand's body. Yeah. Pretty silly.
And in the credits one if the art pieces showed mando on that creature with a body slumped over the back
@@ScottSkywalker I thought that too, but it looks more like a bedroll, something you'd normally see in an old western on top of the saddle bags.
Thanks for breaking down what might be my favorite episode yet!
realistically it's more than likely Giancarlo's character but *god* my heart is hoping it's boba
Who’s excited for mandalaorian episode 6
I think it could be Mando himself neiling down over the body
holo_TrIkz he doesn’t wear spurs
holo_TrIkz yeah that’s what I assumed originally and then I went back and watched the footage and paused at the last frame before it cuts to black and it looked like he had the thigh plate armor on the leg he knelt on so yeah I think it’s Mando
if you turn the brightness up he has the same leg armor as mando including the same damage markings
He had spurs on his boots and boba fett was created from a John Wayne cowboy western and you can even hear his spurs on his boots in the scene with him Vader and Han Solo shooting at them. I’m calling it, it’s boba fett.
Boba Fett is in about year 8 of being digested.
@@WarEagleTimeMachine if he didn't escape the sarlacc pit
@@WarEagleTimeMachine nope. He survived, it's canon.
It’s either Bill Burr’s character or the black stormtrooper
@@WarEagleTimeMachine he escaped
At 1:31 you can see the two droids cheating and passing cards
pretty neat detail
El Pepe it reminds me of how Han cheated to beat Lando in the same card game.
Good eye didn't notice that 👍
I wanna see Cad Bane in live action so bad
Your wish has been granted young Jedi
It's Boba Fett......fresh from escaping the Sarlaac pit. Ref: 'Tales from Jabba's Palace'.
Shame that books not canon. Bib Fortuna monk was something.
I thought boba fett was the mandalorian
@@davidb8673 what made you think that?
I’m terrified something bad is going to happen to baby yoda, literally at the edge of my seat yelling at the TV, “DONT YOU DEAR TOUCH THAT SWEET BABY” every episode.
I really hope the mystery ending character is Giancarlo Espositos character. I really want to see star wars Gus
Awe yaaas
your pal Ty saaame
Yeah I hope he comes in soon
I was hoping it was Bill Burr
Is nobody gonna mention the monster like roar(nightmare) from inside the ship right before “Toyoda” woke up 🧐🧐
Omg yeah what was that about
probably echos of baby yoda coos
that was him forcing open the door to the bed, lol
Sounded like a distinct roar that actually scared him and woke him up to me
And I thought it sounded like the same noise that Ben Kenobi made when he scared the Tuskens from Luke in Ep. III.
I don’t believe the mystery character is Giancarlo Esposito, it wouldn’t make sense for a Moff to be alone in the middle of Tatooine’s desert. There’s some really good evidence for it being Boba Fett though. The jangling spur sounds as he walks are almost enough on their own, considering how important that particular noise was to George when he created Boba, but the “She’s no good to us dead” line really helps solidify the theory. Imagine if Boba was kicked out of the Guild and stranded on Tatooine after surviving the Sarlacc pit and he tries to turn in Fennec so he can rejoin the Guild, but they tell him the only way would be to catch Mando and the child. If Boba comes back at all this could possibly be the best Star Wars thing ever next to Empire.
System of a down: Solo! Why'd you leave your feet up on the table?
Solo: I wanted to
The spurs should have been a dead give away for Boba finding Fennec because he was the only character from the original trilogy with Spurs which were a decisive choice for boba to seem like an Outlaw Gunslinger
The plant name Navaro could be a reference to Andrew Navaro who did the X wing games. It could also be referencing Fallout 2, as the Enclave and Mandalorians are somewhat similar and both hiding out in Navar(r)o.
When I heard the planet's name I immediately thought of the enclave lol
Dave Navaro. No questions asked.
Cade Bane or Boba Fett would be sic!
SwaggerLikeUz boba fett is dead
@@zamon2820 he is not dead he survived its canon
Rebel_without_a_cause I don't recall seeing that episode ever air though, but I know it was in an unfinished season Clone war's episode. Not to mention Season 7 doesn't reconcile Bane's fate either, from the trailers. Knowing Filoni maybe they changed plans and kept Him alive.
I just finished watching this mandalorian and then this popped up saying you posted
My favorite episodes so far are 3&4
3 and 5
Mystery Cape: yes, it's Giancarlo Espocito's character. But also, yes it's Boba Fett. I think they'll recanonise Boba Fett as having escaped the Sarlak Pit and become a Sith Moff, i.e. the Moff that GE is playing.
Mo Hoosen there’s no way boba fett got outa the snarlak pit
Zamon - have you NEVER read a Star Wars book in your life??? Yes he escaped...
Canonically, Boba Fett is a clone of his father, so we know what he looks like. I find it very hard to believe that this series, which has stuck so very closely to the original source material, would try to pull as huge a switcheroo as casting Giancarlo Esposito as Boba Fett.
The mystery person is obviously Gus Fring. There are only 3 more episodes to go and we havn't seen him yet.
5:22 "mothns"
The droids also cheat by passing cards under the table. @1:31
I’m excited for bill bur, I love him as a comedian and excited to see what he brings to the table on one of my favorite shows
Yea right👎
Jay Emm what are you disagreeing with
@@haloguylevi i had to search it i didn't believe he's in mado. Im intrigued as well now👍
@@cali4nia420 Yea right what??
@@OneEyeDollar6 i didn't know. I already looked it up though
the ending art during the credits, where Mando and the Rookie are on the speeders, the Rookie looks a lot like Orlando Bloom.
It is Orlando Bloom he was going to play him hence the concept art they use for the ending he sadly declined it they used a pic from pirates of the caribbean as a refrence
Sabacc decks can be purchased in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. There’s also a game that visitors can get into.
Great episode!
Good job filling in for my fav.
I too looked for a blaster Mark on the wall of "The Han Booth" Then I remembered, HAN SHOT FIRST! ^,,^
You’re awesome! Do more of these please!
You did an excellent job filling the shoes. A well earned like for this video 👍
Love you guys!
Wouldn't wearing baby Yoda on his back be counter intuitive to staying alive
It’s mando at the end, he still he still a damaged leg armor to
i want it to be either cad baine or boba fett just because i love them
First video where the end scene prediction makes sense
The name Navarro must surely be a reference to the award-winning WWII thriller "The Guns of Navarone" and the disappointing sequel "Force 10 from Navarone" that starred Harrison Ford among others.
OR guitarist Dave Navarro.
Technically, the top gun move would only work in space with reverse thrusters, and the flaps were useless and therefore unnecessary.
Honestly, when I heard they were going to the dune sea, I got so excited cause I thought they were going to the Sarlacc pit.
I was disappointed.
sarlacc is dead
@@skallywag78 there are more than 1
While never officially released, cad bane was killed in an unfinished episode of the Clone Wars during a western style duel with a young Boba Fett.
You did a wonderful job, they need to keep you around.
when are you guys gonna do Disenchantment on netflix?
EV-9D9 in the Cantina scene was also voiced by Mark Hamill too
I get that leaving the kid in the ship isn't ideal but under the circumstances what are the options? Do people really think it'd be best to bring the kid along while the mandalorian goes out looking for dangerous work with a high likelihood of getting shot at? This kind of logic baffles me.
This is the way!
I just love the "reaction" shots of getting gunned down.
3:09 *Bad alternator not motivator*
Eye Dupppz she’s correct it was a motivator
I'm going to ScreenVariety Tv right now. Best legit option this year to see live TV games.
I think the mysterious person with boots at the end is boba get because if you go back to the empire strikes back and listen to boba walking in cloud city behind Vader in the little dining room it sounds exactly like this guys footsteps
If you check the Cast for The Mandalorian, Daniel Logan is playing BOBA FETT!!! So Its confirmed boba fett is going to make an appearance sometime! Like so others can see.
2:07 me when I see baby yoda
Ya'll are underestimating how strong Baby Yodes is manipulating the force around him. We're clearly seeing how he survived for 50 years.
it's definitely Giancarlo, his character shot from the previews is wearing the same black cape that the mysterious character is.
Love u guys!
I think its Mando who kneels at the body... They would be an awesome tag team.
3:15 that insect alien looks pretty similar to the race know as the Huk from legends, the race that general grievous fought against before he became the supreme commander
THE SPURS ON THE BOOTS, HOW DO YOU NOT MENTION THAT, GOTTA BE BOBA
Brycen Burke manz died in episode 6 return of the Jedi, I recommend watching all the movies 🎥
Gabriel Allen Star Wars Legends, although not canon, have established that there is at least a possibility he survived, I recommend knowing more before trying to correct someone
I know it’s not Cad Bane because in an unfinished episode of Clone Wars Boba Fett kills him in a wester draw. It also explains the dent in Boba’s Helmet
Anyone else hear the original Obi-Wan 'Krayt Dragon' wail from the 1977 version of Star Wars just before Baby Yoda comes down the boarding ramp?
MOVING ON!!!
And the Droid Bounty pointed a gun at baby Yoda in episode 1
You guys didn’t mention that the 3 droids with the mechanic are probably the same ones from Star Tours at Disney World.
4:46 MOTHNS
I'm pretty sure Cad Bane's dead. There was a released unfinished scene from Clone Wars season 7 where he has a shootoff with young Boba Fett, who now wears the green helmet. Bane's shot give Boba's helmet the traditional dent, while Boba's headshots Bane.
This was my favorite Mandalorian episode yet.
