Cobb calls the bartender “Weequay” because in the Weequay culture they rarely use their actual names and barely ever let anyone know them. The clan and culture is more important than individuality for them. It’s a nice deepcut by Favreau.

Also, there is a Tusken raider that is fighting the Dragon with a Cycler rifle, which you can see by the smoke trail it produces as well as the physical projectile it fires rather than a blaster, and it’s the same weapon that Boba has on his back at the end of the episode.
While I did hear a regular gunshot instead of a blaster round some of the times the cycled rifles where being used, it seemed like they were firing regular blaster bolts, same way they were portrayed in Star Wars Rebels.

After rewatching the episode, I am kind of disappointed to say that it might be worth walking back this theory over all, because while it would be a very cool touch to have Boba in this episode the whole time, in the final shot of the episode, his garments are much darker in color than a regular Tuskens, which makes me think he probably wasn’t ever there, or at least not at the fight with the Dragon. As far as the cycler rifle goes, it turns out there were about a dozen or more sand people with them in the big action scene, so it wasn’t as serious of a detail as it seemed to be initially.
@@yungsteveharv plus Boba is watching Mando from afar at sun set. Mando left directly from the battle. Where Boba saw him would have been miles away from the Krayt Dragon den. So even if he is a raider, he probably wasn't in the battle.

As others have said, he's in Rogue One and you can watch some b-roll footage of the real model they built, it's pretty sweet.

A few things:
The Tuskins use the same binoculars Mando traded last season so there is a chance these are the same ones.
That droids name is R5-D4 who, in an old semi non canon comic, was a Jedi.
In Legeds there were at least 4 Sarlacc's on Tatooine, based on the rocky terrain I don't think this is the Great Pit of Carkoon.
Lastly that was a Greater Krayt Dragon and that Pearl is probably worth enough to pay for both Death Stars (just guessing) but I want a smaller one for my Lightsaber.

@@LagoonKnight I was exaggerating but in Legends a pearl the size of a human head was sold for easily a hundred thousand credits and this one seemed a bit bigger than that.

That Zabrak is NOT the same as Maul, Zabraks have 2 different types, one from Dathomir (Dathomirian Zabraks) these are the ones that we see on Clone Wars (the Night Brothers) like Maul and Savage Opress. And we have the ones from Iridonia (Iridonian Zabraks) these unlike the other ones don't have red-orange-yellow colors but more human skin color, that is the one we see here.
I thought Dathomirian Zabraks had the human skin tones, they just get full body tattoos as a coming-of-age ritual

I want to say that it was a Greater Krayt Dragon that they encountered, as described in The Wildlife of Star Wars: A Field Guide. Though it looks a lot different than the one in the book, the description is on point. It's the largest species of Krayt Dragon on Tatooine, it's capable of eating whole Sarlaccs, and it can swim though sand like water. Very nice.
If that WASN'T a Greater Krayt Dragon, I don't think I want to see how much bigger a greater Krayt Dragon would be.
I don't see how people are making the connection with Boba being that one Tusken at the campfire. Boba's cloak/garb is clearly much darker than every other sandperson's, if not outright black instead. It's also not simply because of the scene being backlit in my opinion.
He could have changed outfits, but it does seem far fetched

Theory. Perhaps, Bo Katan could be the close friend of Boba, and make the promise of becoming Mand'alor, like in Legends. Would be kinda cool, but not as cool to see the three fighting together.

Gore was not talking about Cobb Vanth being the Mandalorian on Tattooine. He knew Boba Fett was there because he would be a crappy trafficker of information if he thought Cobb Vanth was an actual Mandalorian. Further, this means that Jango was a true Mandalorian.
why is nobody talking about the fact that the binocs the tuskens let mando use at 7:40 are Toro Calican’s from episode 5 that mando gave to the tuskens for passage across their land

I'm kinda sad that Boba Fett appearing was leaked before hand. I wish I had watched that scene with no knowledge of Boba returning. It was still cool though.
It’s so frustrating that three years later we have no updates on darth mauls return. It’s a massive disappointment and that no one has mentioned for awhile, he literally comes back at the end of solo and then nothing. We need this!

I think the Mandalorian is particularly interesting to me because he is not very interested in small talk (which is very like me), so it’s nice to see a protagonist who isn’t extremely extroverted and overly talkative ^-^
To make him more "sociable " would just kill the character completely

Same. I figured soon as I saw him there but when he turned around and his face looked burned I knew it. My body literally filled itself with dopamine lol. This episode was amazing.
I thought Boba Fett shed the Armor after he blasted his way out of the sarlac because it was covered in stomach acid.. and probably stumbled away into the desert after being freed.. And because of the location of this sarlac cave, its not the same sarlac that swallowed Fett.. meaning theres more sarlacs... did he know his armor survived? Does he want it back? The armor looks like its even worse now than ever before.. it does look like maybe he has been hiding and traveling amongst the tusken raiders.. we shall see

@@maxattack3853 It's not, but it's also not excluded from cannon. He's out of the Sarlacc and dumped his armor. Unless contradicted it's plausible. And JF really likes re-cannonizing stuff he liked from legends.

6:32 Literally in that shot there's red on the underside of the nacelle/engine. I believe it is recaimed from Anakin's podracer.
That's actually a different color, silver. Common misconception. But seriously, Anakin's pod was distinctly metallic with yellow highlights. The forward-facing exhaust panels were also much longer. It's just meant to be a nod to the design. Anakin was only able to build it because he had an excess of common parts so nothing on it was actually unique.

Anyone realized the binoculars the Tusken Raiders used when investigating the cave of the Kraytdragon were the same as Toro Callicans binoculars that Mando gave to the Sandfolk

I feel Cobb is a lot more like Raylan Givens from Justified.... Who was a Deputy US Marshal and had a similar manner to Cobb and that initial feeling out scene was more like Givens than Bullock.
Regardless, Olyphant is a great choice for this character
Theory on Boba. When he escaped the Sarlack pit he had to remove his helmet to most likely breath or clean up and his face was seen forcing him to give up his armor. The sand people might have even taken him in because he survived.
Still waiting for a scene where someone opens a camtono and there is ice cream inside.
The Marshall came across the the body last season there were spurs when he walked just like for Boba and mando.
When the guards at the beginning hurt there hand on his armor I thought I was a callback to when obi wan kicked grievous in ROTS
The marshal shooting the rocket from boba armour is definitely a reference to the vintage rocket firing boba fett figure
No one else recognized the cat things in the shadows at the very beginning came from Rebels when first Hera and Sabine, then Kanan and his apprentice, crash on that planet with the old base and all the asteroids floating and hiding the sun at different intervals, with those things hiding in the shadows?
I think Bobba was helping them as a Tusken the whole time, & after they blew the dragon up he was like “alright let me go hide behind that rock now & keep following them again” lol
Maybe he was with the Tuskens since Mando calls them out when the dog creatures approached them

One of my favorite nods in the episode was Timothy Olyphant being the Marshall, just like in Justified, and the stare down scene between him and Mando. If he was as good as in Justified, Mando may have met his match.

There are also clone trooper graffiti on the walls, the actors playing Tuskens use sign language during filming
Some parts of the Krayt Dragon’s roar is also part of the Indominus Rex/Allosaurus roar from Jurassic World and Battle at Big Rock
