What Happens to a BALL of SHRIMP on the Reef? (GoPro View)

- I thought it would be cool to put a ball of shrimp on the bottom of the ocean near the reef to see what fish came along to take a bite. The results were surprising!
Keep trying new things and leveling up in real life!

The name of that Hawaiian fish caught me off guard, had to rewind
I did as well thinking he was making a joke.
Any kind of video posted by Ace will always be good!🎉
You should recycle some of your trail cam bait items. Pizza under water would be interesting.
these underwater videos are so relaxing, what if there were youtube livestreams of just underwater cams, would be so cool
there is underwater cams
Love it when Ace uploads!
I just found your channel. I love it 🙂
Big shrimp
the one fish reminds me of the donkey from shrek
Hey man idk if you read these but I've been pretty sick the last few days and your channel has helped me get through it. Please don't stop. Take care
It's super interesting how they hold off, as if they're all waiting for someone else to make the first move to see if it's some sort of trap or lure. That trigger fish must have been the hungriest or the dumbest to make the first move lol awesome video! I'm new to the channel and love the underwater stuff! Super educational about species and behavior! Keep up the awesome work!
I have 2 pyramid butterfly in my glass cages 300..I love those fish and their colors. ❤
Fish can tell the difference between live bait and dead bait. A fisherman told me that. It's worth it to buy live bait. Loved your video✌
I believe the "stareye parrotfish" you ID'd in the video is actually a saddle wrasse. I'm no expert, but google image both names and I think it's pretty clear. I have seen them snorkeling before. Love wrasses. So pretty and huge variety.
Fish are getting smarter.
My dad is an avid fishermen, retired now and out there almost every day lol, he was telling me about a test where there was this reservoir with AWESOME fishing and so of coarse people caught on and in the last few years more people have taken up the sport, suddenly no more fish getting caught there. They began to worry that it had been over fished so the went to check it out and, nope still plenty of fish, they all just began congregating around the stumps out in the middle as opposed to the bank where they use to be because they learned that's where the majority of fishermen are! Absolutely wild, no doubt in my mind that the fish pay attention and learn and become more intelligent!
@@modestmeeshka very cool!
I use the same shrimp as bait for fishing I think
Just discovered your videos and you have a new fan! File fish are so weird looking and awesome! And I too am surprised at how leary the fish are about the bait. I would have guessed they'd go to town on it. But I suppose some of those fish are still alive because of their trepidatious nature.
You used some words there that make me think you love to read books.
These underwater videos are so fun please keep doing these and various experiments like the minnows in a jar one.
It's like they can feel something.... fishy 🤣
Perfect timing Ace!
Appreciate the clean, profanity free content :)
Keep doing the same thing in different spots!!
These videos are wicked cool!
These are great
It would be cool to see fresh caught bait put down there to see if there's a difference from store bought.
Thank you
Please make a TikTok. People are stealing your videos and making money off them. Please and thank you❤
You lost me at hugahugaomwaomwamowaahh
that fish was a triggerfish not filefish. but love your videos man, keep doing what your doing.
Maybe it depends on where you live...here in Florida I'm pretty sure we call them Parrot fish...b/c their buck teeth look like a parrots beak sticking out...I could be wrong..
I get this notification as I'm watching ace on TV with Fowler. So cool
This sounds weird but put a pile of carp fishing type chum at the reef to see what happens. Corn, chicken feed pellets, boilies, and something called halibut pellets. At least put cans of corn or a frozen can of corn stuck to the weight. Maybe bread down there too. Wetted frozen bread attached to a weight maybe.
This is my new favorite channel. Keep them coming!
I really enjoy this channel. Thank you
Just found your vids today, and I gotta say I am absolutely loving it.
Same
My family and I love your videos!
Beautiful
This is very cool. Reminds me of snorkeling. Keep up the good work. I’m loving the videos.
I subscribed so please do more and maybe with caught bait or blood, worms etc
❤ that's fun
0:42 teeth fish
I love these underwater videos with a bait like that. Maybe you should try to do a piece of tuna? Or a piece of rib eye steak? That would be neat to see how they react to that. Can't wait to see more videos.
I buy the same shrimp I think
Do more of these! The bottom of the ocean food experiments
man i absolutely love your content its soo entertaining, and you have inspired me to begin fishing and so far its been going well.
Excellent pronunciation. Mahalo 🤙🏽hope to run in to you one day. You got awesome videos.
Had a moray eel take a fish out of my hand that I had just cleaned on the jetty. I let him have it. Did not want to fight it and have it latch onto my hand or finger. It was a quick beastie.
Nice vid Ace! Very informative. Maybe bread/dough for the next one?
That is a great idea!
Greetings from Missouri Catfishing Ace!!!
I cannot wait to go to Hawaii and snorkel here. I think fish instinctively know theres no such thing as a free meal. especially saltwater fish!
Why does the file fish look like it's pulling a funny face or screaming or something lol? It's also swimming backwards, crashed against a rock, and dropped the food it was eating. Has it been drinking or something? Long week at work?
Maybe
I would love to see you use the fish from the pier video! it got alot of attention
An enormous block of blood worms.... like 1ft by 1ft. Immediate feeding frenzy I bet.
Hey Man…. What a great video! This is FANTASTIC!! Thank you so much for doing this. It’s very interesting to see how these fish react! I’d like to see you hand feed an octopus!! It can be done. Give it some thought!
That smaller fish at 04:22 was cheering for the brazilian soccer team
This would be a great experiment.... ball of shrimp vs a small chunk of shrimp that has been cut vs a neatly hooked shrimp that look natural.... plus moving the baits slightly, major movement, or no movement at all... plus shrimp vs other types of bait... I do bottom fishing most of the time, but I don't have underwater equipment like yours that could record video
That was way cool! I used un cooked shrimp and the fish devoured them. I wish I would have filmed it.
Wow, so that's what happens to a ball of shrimp on the reef. I really wasn't expecting the fish to eat them. I thought they were going to come back to life and build a little shrimp town.
I never saw a fish with teeth like a human wow
That fish you said at 2:38 I immediately recognized because of baby shark my toddler has on repeat. They’ve got a whole song. I can’t pronounce it as confidently as you in conversation but I can sing the song 😂
It would appear that making bait balls don't look natural to fish to feed on it kinda spooks them I guess, the salmon head and the lady fish video produced more interest I guess because it looks more natural ?
I wonder if the bait was slightly decayed, it would put off more scent and be easier to bite off chunks. Maybe get a bunch of stuff floating around. Maybe.
How do eels dig their caves? Are eel caves that common, that there will always be one near where you put the bait?
Freaky eel man
Try breaking open a sea urchin in front of them.
Use Shrimp for bait every time I go fishing 😂
imagine one day his footage will just be a random snorkeler taking his camera 😂
I believe in the Red sea you would call that a triggerfish in the beginning of the video
Maybe because these are cooked shrimp? Agree with Jim, try opening an urchin
Do a can of spam next time!!!
Love it!
My day is always amazing after another Ace upload :)
Hope you cleaned up the wire and weights you had on the bait
👍❤️
goofy Ah fish with those teeth 💀💀💀
I've seen an eel bite a fish. My idiot roommate there a shrimpin. He saw the shrimp and went straight for it. Missed and bit the trigger... Trigger died. It was nuts.
What happens if you put a steak (beef) under water? Will fish try to eat it?
Sometimes processed food (in this case shrimp with sodium bisulfate)...any agent they feel smells weird, they won't take it.
Best bait are fries, sardines, a slab of bonito ......
Interesting
They smell you, that's why their skittish
oh and my name is kyle I am using my mom's account. I love your videos-keep up the great work. I usually fish Eagle Lake and Lake of the Woods for Pike, Walleye, Bass, and Muskie is kind of new to us. If you are in the area ever, let's do a catch and cook for Muskie!
