I bought one with the performance package last April and I've never been happier with a car purchase. That performance package is a must! I agree with most of your points. I think it looks much better than the Type-R and I prefer the blue exterior paint, but those are subjective opinions. The interior is not very refined (i.e., cheap). I love the exhaust note with all the cracks and pops, and the steering feel in N mode is the best. A great blend of performance and value overall.
Well the best perspective certainly comes from an actual owner. Thanks for sharing! I’m glad you like it and I’ll consider it for one of my future cars for sure
I made a couple offers on Type Rs last month and the cheapest any of the snobby Honda dealers would sell a 2019 (yes 2020 is already out and has improvements and are $4000 more) was $38k!!! MSRP was $34,700 and they lowballed me on trade so I walked. I got the Veloster N with Performance pack for $27,500 after offers AND they gave me $2k more on my trade, so instead of financing $40k I'm financing $29k and the biggest difference is 30 horsepower from the Type R, everything else I like the N better. with an intake, downpipe, and intercooler I'll be more horsepower and still $9k cheaper. Throw a tune on that and it'll be 100hp more than the Type R

That’s awesome. It was meant to be.

Ace Hardy you think so?
Sounds a lot better than the Honda on stock pipes.
