Gotta say, I love it that you don't immediately reveal what deck the opp is playing anymore. I always tried to guess it before you said it out loud, so it not being there from the beginning makes it a lot easier :D
Yeah, as a viewer I always felt that having the name up there at the start of the game kind of detracted from the video, so I decided to try this out and people really like it!

I don't know when you started doing it, but waiting to fill in the opponent's deck archetype until Seth figures out what he's up against is a really nice touch. Deck overlay tech, now spoiler-free!
Aren't you safe against through the breach + emrakul as long as you have tergrid + at least 6 other permanents in play? They swing, you keep tergrid, emrakul gets sac'd at end of turn from through the breach and you get it thanks to tergrid?
nope for two reason breach say you sack and since you cannot sack your opponent creature it fizzle the other reason is that emrakul die and came back so it not the same emrakul so once agains fizzle
That Bogles game sold it for me lol. Also I feel like instead of Mind Stone this deck should be playing the Golgari talisman instead, that way even when you Deathcloud, you still have colored mana to cast stuff with.
i always played bgx deck, and i have polayed death cloud a lot of time. i love this tegrid version, with this new expansion i think can be more stronger! -4 liliana tri + 4 new edict with slipt second: you lose the value to liliana planeswalker, but spilt second is toooo huge -3 random stuff (hellfire, dark p and cc9 spell with suspend) +2/3 tourach. is a nice creature with absurde power, and in this deck you can play him kickeder to tutn 3 (or 2 if you have utopia/elf) -vs gray deck we can put dauthi in side what do you think about?
Phyrexian Totem is a good black rock that is modern legal, and the Golgari Keyrune isn't garbage (though Totem tends to be better when it's better). The big thing is Mind Stone doesn't provide Black, which hurts you I think, and you can't afford the damage of a Talisman it looks like. Totem can backfire, but it is a really beefy 5/5 when you've cleared the board with Liliana, boarded out vs burn maybe.
There is actually going to be a hilarious total-meme deck in standard similar to this--you need to stick a Tergrid and then play Peer into the Abyss on the opponent, followed by Revel in Silence during their upkeep. This forces them to draw half their deck, then blocks them from playing spells during their next turn and forces 20+ discards during their end step (which means that all creatures they discard will be able to attack next turn, and they will be set at 10 life due to Peer).
@Joshua King You are right that there are modern memes for this. One funny one is Hive Mind + Wheel effects (e.g. Windfall causes both players to discard, then draw, then discard, then draw, because it triggers the spell twice) + Innocent Blood/One With Nothing.
Match 2 starts: Me: "that's a very short match. Seth probably got land screwed or something". Match 2 ends: Me: "Well, magic definetly is a game and definetly is played"
In the last two games vs the Emrakul breach deck you already had enough permanents and life to just wait until the end step for them to sacrifice it due to through the breach giving you a Emerkul at the cost of 15 life and losing 6 permanents. Though in the final game if the opponent had breach he could have bounced Tergrid to avoid giving you Emrakul
Death Cloud 2004: Each player loses X life, discards X cards, sacrifices X creatures, then sacrifices X lands. Death Cloud if it were printed in 2021: Each opponent loses X life, discards X cards, sacrifices X creatures, then sacrifices X lands.
Wouldn't the ramp be better with Leyline of Abundance and regular mana dorks? Considering this deck runs black and can discard extra copies of Leyline. 🤔
Discard, counters, land destruction loops. I don't think anyone wants to play against that... I agree, I'd just scoop the match, lol. In all honesty, what deck does want to play against that matchup?
So you must have a secret library of videos That are stashed away ....I challenge you to use something from a anime one day.😎 I can't wait to see what you do.I play tergrid in standard and it is weird but good enough.
You get lands that are sacrificed while Tergrid is on the battlefield. So you can get some lands from your opponent if you cast a Death Cloud that's small enough that you don't have to sacrifice your own Tergrid.
@@bfrobin446 Yeah, that's what Seth said. However at 5:38 you can see that Seth stole a land from the opponent from a death cloud even though the Tergrid was sac'ed. Just wondering if it was a bug or not.
@@darkgenesis611 Discarding cards from the hand happens before sacrificing creatures, so you'll always get any lands that were in your opponent's hand. Looks like that's what happened in that game: the Simic Growth Chamber was in the opponent's hand.
Pro tip: don't put Grafdigger's Cage in the sideboard of your Tergrid deck ;)
Will you be making a video about EV/what you think the best 2021 Challenger decks are? Last time you did that it was very helpful. Thanks ♥️
Now I'm waiting for this to come up 🤣
Can't wait for that new discard spell to come out that might be great
I really wanna see an against the odds where you use in search of greatness with the like 7 cmc 1/1 morph creatures from scourge
Same goes for Containment Priest in your Orah, Skyclave Hierophant Cleric Brawl deck
The Emrakul steal was so sick.
40:39 Seth almost dropping the F bomb
Poor Bogles. That was so funny/sad seeing them just scoop the entire match after the death cloud.
Its what boggles deserves
Pretty much unbeatable match up for boggles unless they get magic dreamland draws, seth bricks and boggles player goes first

Tergrid in Deathcloud is the most win-more thing I've ever seen.
I have to disagree with that. Tergrid allow smaller deathclouds that would be a mutual setback to swing the entire game

The Emrakul steal was quite possibly the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, and I've eaten at Denny's.
