Amazing video, How do you install yhe new flywell with the TDC indicated? Is there a threw that marks it in order to reinstall it properly? Thanks in advance A150 W169 2007 215.000 kms.
You mean the crank pulley/damper? You have only to put it on the crankshaft, it slides into. But be careful to remove the old black plastic ring inside (it's a chain noise damper). If you let it inside, you risk torquing the pulley misaligned pinching the plastic ring behind it
Thank a lot for your videos ! I already replace the oil cooler gasket following your instructions in other video , it was terribly painfull to put these screw in place but its done ! Unfortunatly oil leakage still goes on so now im almost sure i need to replace that damn crankshaft oil seal. It look like a generic OAS-40X52X8-NBR seal , could you confirm it ? What if i didn't change the pulley ? exept noise ? Why the hell MB put a hole on the frame ? is there really no way to take off the screw without lower the entire subframe ? Thanks again !
You should check part code on mercedes online EPC. No way to remove the bolt without lowering. Considering the difficulty of the job I'd replace the pulley. You find it for 100 euros
Looks like an engineer joke "hey dude we made a hole just for you !" so frustrating --" I wonder if enlarge it would be a viable solution. @@ticktime6569
@@ticktime6569 great thanks. I am really dreading this job ha ha. I have already replaced the alternator, water pump and aircon pump due to the stupid noise which now seems to be the crank pulley.
Hallo The big one holding the pulley was in the vicinity. How did you solve it? I couldn't figure it out, the pulley is rotating, how can I make the pulley stable? thanks
@@ticktime6569oh, i'm sad, because i start this job on my w245 tomorrow. Can you give me a good video source on that? Btw. you're doing a great job. I watched your oil cooler replacement video many times and use it as a guide. :)

I couldn't solve the big bolt, how to fix the swivel pulley? thanks
How did you lock the flywheel? Do you have a tool or did you make one?
There's a tool from Laser tools but also from ebay. Search "Om640 flywheel lock tool"

you have to lock the flywheel with a flywheel locker. To do it you have to remove the starter. good luck it's a hell of a job
i can't find the video where you lower the subframe. Did you remove it?
sorry I didn''t make it yet
