The thing that I appreciate most about Quake is his approach. He doesn’t come across like a Vlad or an DJ Adademiks. He gives you the feel that he truly appreciates Hip Hop and the people he has reported upon. He has an excellent way of doing videos and I hopes he continues to improve. This documentary was truly impressive and the scope of it is absolutely amazing. I had to watch it multiple times because it’s so impressive.

Dawg.. from one superfan to another, thank you for this. Growing up on 50 was truly a once in a lifetime experience. The influence that Fif has had at every corner of the globe is crazy to this day. Shout out Quake🫡
Can’t wait for the Massacre 20 year documentary cause that is probably as fascinating as GRODT cause by that point, Fif was so big that the industry was trying to tear him down. Getting insights on the making of that album would be crazy, from the label leaking the album to the change of concept to giving away records to Game to the explosive beefs with everyone from Jada to Fat Joe and G-UNIT growing as a label, I need to see that.

Only one thing I can say Quake, wow... I can see why you got emotional watching this back.. The Massacre got the 'the making of' video, Curtis and Before I Self Destruct were mentioned in others but of all the albums 50 made, this was absolutely the one that deserved this type of documentary. I said it on twitter and this has just convinced me of it even more, The Massacre might have sold more than GRODT first week, but it is, was and always will be THE biggest and best album in 50's discography. The sheer impact that it had on so many people, yourself included, along with the culture itself has meant that even 20 years later it is still getting talked about and recognised like it first came out, and documentaries like this done on it. For your efforts on this Quake, thank you. I said on Twitter that like all your other content, I am not expecting you to disappoint and you most certainly did not. If Netflix were going to put anything of yours on their platform, this should be it. You have absolutely done justice to the legacy of this masterpiece of an album, and I actually hope this reaches 50's radar and he does an interview with you from it. I certainly hope he doesn't have a problem with it or anything, because this needs to stay up and reach a lot of people. Bravo my friend, bravo.

This was a tremendously well done documentary. I’ve been a fan of 50 since 99 since I heard Rowdy Rowdy on the radio during a DJ’s mix show, ironically I also heard JA Rule’s Holla Holla during the same mix show. From the mixtapes to now I’ve followed 50’s career very closely and his music was the soundtrack to so much of my late teens to early twenties. During the good, bad and ugly experiences of those times. Get Rich Or Die Trying was more than an album it was 50’s crowning achievement as a new artist and those of us who followed and supported know him know how much this meant and still means. So many people played so pivotal roles in that album and to see them highlighted is tremendous as well. Much love and respect to Quake for this awesome documentary and continue to keep up the good work my brother.

I was 12-13 during the Tupac and Biggie era of Hip Hop and remember how polarizing that period was, even though I was still a bit too young to FULLY understand. But I was 18 starting my 1st year of college during the 50 Cent/G-Unit era of Hip Hop and remember THIS TIME, being 1 of the best in my generation. The Jay Z and Nas era was coo too, but it’s something about this one; something about 50, that gives me chills and memories of times that will never be forgotten or replaced.

1:08:57 Kim Osorio who slept with 50 Cent in 2003 and is a former editor of The Source magazine, talks about when 50 Cent played her the original version of Back Down, in her 2008 book Straight From The Source
This is what she wrote in her book: When we got back into the rented SUV,50 popped in a CD and started adjusting the knobs on the car stereo. "I want you to hear something." Then, with his baseball cap cocked to the side covering his doorag (as if a doorag were a fashion statement), he started nodding his head as the beat started to play. "G-g-g-g-g-Unit." Now he was lip-synching the words to a song called "Back Down." This was a different version from the one that would make the album. The song dissed everybody. Not just Ja Rule and Murder Inc., but Jay-Z, Cam'Ron, and others. In particular, the lines that stood out were a reference to Ja Rule sounding like the Cookie Monster, a line where 50 called Jay-Z gay, and a dis to Cam'Ron's pink fashion sense, and sudden weight loss. I knew from 50's first album (which never came out) that this was the formula to his success. It was all about putting everyone on blast and talking recklessly on records. But this was song was worse than "How To Rob" "Are you really going to put that out?" "I don't care. I'll put it out, but Dre and Em don't want me to," he replied, before quickly switching the subject
50 put his CD back into the car stereo and I heard the "Back Down" record play again. I only heard that version twice while I was in Los Angeles, but I never heard the same version again. When the album came out, an edited version of the song was on it. It kept the disses to Ja Rule and Murder Inc., of course, and chopped out all the rest. The song is like a pink elephant in hip-hop, because no one will admit that it actually existed.
The vibe felt really friendly, so I started fishing for information. So I heard you ran into Dipset out here and something popped off. You think they heard about the record you did?" Sha Money XL overheard our conversation and interrupted, "What record? There's no record." "The Back Down' record I heard in L.A., where he's dissin' Cam" "He ain't dissin' Cam on that record" Sha Money interjected. I was confused. I knew I had heard the dis on the song, but it was like a jedi mind trick because I started second-guessing what I'd heard. Did I really hear him mention Cam? I looked at 50 for validation, but he didn't say anything. Then when Sha turned his back, 50 rolled his eyes back and waved his hand. "I don't care, but he gotta act like that" "What's the big deal deal? You already said it." "They probably gonna take it off
