Eminem is such a stand up man he adopted Kim's daughter when she couldn't care for her because of drug addiction, and adopted Kim's sisters kid when she committed suicide. Imagine raising the daughter of the woman you love and her lover. Many people dont even want to raise their own kids, but M token that responsibility. He also was asked to go on tour with Dre, Snoop, and him but said no so he could be around to parent all his children. Mad props to you M. You deserve more credit for this than you get.
This man truly came out of poverty and struggle and made his own dreams come true. I will always respect and admire this man. He has never hidden his own demons and inspires millions of people that they too can get thru darkness.
Nobody can even touch this guy! And he deserves every dollar, every attention & every thought. Can I remember you, that he was a poor, small outsider from a dysfunctional family. Dr. Dre discovered him, because nobody reached out to him. This man is honest, self-critical, poetic & authentic.
Marisa Hahn I know I bet u all those other ppl that either turned him down or away regret every FUCKING moment LMFAO, and honestly I hope they are, been loving him since 1999 and all the shit he been through all the hard work, loves his fans don't care what ppl say eminem truly gets hurt when his fans hate an album he may put out, or ppl saying oh u were better on drugs BULLSHIT I never doubted him bc kill shot proves it, and also ppl say he is old well he is 45 yrs. old and killing the rap game, he way better then all these young rappers out here ( well almost everybody really ) bc their is only a handful of greats right now and ppl need to see most if not all of them are not young, he don't give a duck ( I love it ) and just enjoys his life, so my baby puts out killshot to shut everybody the FUCK up, ppl saying rap devil better ( I thought it was good, then realized a child could do it really ) anyways he will be killing it at 80 yrs. old I swear lmfao, all I say to those ppl are no matter what everyone won't like him, but it's all good bc I feel u must be a BEAST A GOD, A GOAT TO BE DOING SO WELL FOR FUCKING 20 YRS. FOR REAL, killshot broke the internet, I SAY ONE THING HE HAS NOTHING TO PROVE ANYMORE I think he saying that to bc before killshot I thought maybe he wouldn't respond but the internet was blowing up saying he has to, so I figure he said i put this out bury mgk it should end the shit, well I feel bad bc in video fall in beginning u can see it upsets him that we the fans just don't let up the video with the comments u know, I want him sober happy just living life killing shit, killshot could've went harder but he didn't have to bc what he did was enough, anymore and mgk would be a hermit no more coming outside, LOVE U EMINEM JUST BE HAPPY AND LIVE U LIFE U KNOW WHO UR, THE GOAT, A LEGEND UR RAP GOD!!!
Em has been the biggest influence of my life..when I was a kid struggling with my own childhood issues an the issues of my hard teenage years ,His music was my escape from my hard life and also my fuel to not give up on life....I have never followed any Artist's career like I have with Eminem's career..and to this day I'm Still a true Stan....I'm now 32 an a father of 5 ..and I still use his music to escape .. I'm thankful for Eminem because without his music I would of gave up on life along time ago..Fact.. an I know I am not the only one who feels this way....That's what makes a real Artist..some one who can make music that changes an saves lives ..Thanks Em for all the music an memories..I hope you never stop...STAN Since 1999
Same here. One day I realized when my relationship was rocky with my wife I would jam Eminem. Those songs seemed to go with what I struggled with able anytime I listened to those songs it brought back the memories of those bad moments I tied to certain songs. Growing up my mom was the Same and my dad was mia in my life so many things in common but his music can tie you to emotions that prevent you from growing past. I stopped listening to em and my marriage is going 13 years strong with 3 kids. Em is still the absolute 👑 though!
I was in my late 20s when I started listening to EM I’m now 50 & I still listen to EM & I love him for being so honest & truthful. Never ever faking it. I struggle everyday with addiction & EM has made me want to Cha my ways bc of his story struggles & honesty. He just touches you. EMs music makes you think & take a good hard honest look at yourself whether you want to or not. I respect him so much bc he sings about exactly what I’m going through & he has changed me for the better. No one has ever spoke to me the way EM does through his music & im very grateful for that. I just love his honesty his humour & just being a good good person & Father. Don’t ever stop doing what you’re doing EM bc you definitely change people’s lives for the better. I wonder sometimes where would I be & others if I didn’t
If you weren’t around for us when we struggle & didn’t have your music in my life. Things could ya e easily gone in a different direction & that scared me. Thank you for helping me so much in my life to make it through. Thanks a You 💜😊💜🐶
I really did not get or care for the genius of his artistry until my closest cousin forced me to listen for approximately 200 miles...I than had to “hear the impact of his lyrics”. As an indigenous person, hardship can force your inner strength to manifest. His overwhelming trauma demonstrates this phenomenon. May God Bless all future endeavors, goals and personal dreams. 🤔🙇🏻♀️🎤🔥❤️🇺🇸💎
I'm a 69 yr. old grandma and love ❤ EMINEM. I have since he started!!! I thank my son, TEE for the intro into HIP HOP & RAP...especially !!! TEE constantly had that music playing day & nite, that's all he listened to, eventually (me too) ❤ #1 on my bucket list. I want to go to DETROIT MI. EMINEM opened "MOM'S SPAGHETTI" a few years ago, and I have to go check it out! Detroit is 600 miles from St. Paul, not bad. I have others places I want to see also in upper MI.
Thanks DR.DRE for giving Marshall a chance to prove himself, he’s a Legend now only because you were the only one willing to risk your career to give him a chance to blow. His music are masterpieces.
I kinda like to think that if Dre didn't employ a white guy at the time the IRA or something would have had a reason to move in and fuck him over with some sort of lack of diversity bullshit claim so he signed this piece of trash without a clue he was accidentally laying the path for a revolutionary who ultimately said a good fuck you to those dirty old grey suited catfish
I remember the first time I discovered Eminem. I was 9/10 years old watching much music when "Forgot about Dre" came on and had a very messed up childhood too which is why I began to listen to him and followed his life story all through my teenage years etc...his music allowed me to release my own feelings of anger and depression. He is an absolute legend!
It's funny how they mentioned about how Eminem will get better as he gets older and he has. Kamikaze, and now with music to be murdered by ...🔥🔥🔥 He is the 🐐
I gotta admit it..... I was a Stan back in my teenage years, I loved Eminem, I did my homework listening to the Slim Shady LP and Marshall Mathers LP. I didn't live a very tough life I moved around a bit, I never fit in, i was bullied but I had my parents. But I absolutely loved his music. I wasn't full of rage but I did feel alone. And listening to his music was fun for me for the comedic value and raw lyrics. Now I'm a grown man and I don't idolize Em as I used to but now I realize that he has and had a great flow and lyrical abilit. Truly my personal favorite artist. And one on the best rappers in the world.
Anyone born in late 90s or later cannot understand the impact Em had when he first blew. The world hadn’t heard anything like it and he changed rap forever. No artist has done that since. Drake’s big but that was no overnight thing he worked his way up. Em came in like a nuke and shocked the world
It's easy to come in like a nuke... when you have Jimmy Iovine, Interscope Records, Dr. Dre, and the entire MTV Network behind you 🤦🏻♂️ Right place at the right time situation. Just like how Vanilla Ice was performing and and A&R from Sony was in the crowd.
too true. I'm born '85 & remember shit getting turned upside down when he bust on the scene... yeah it was right place right time, but only cos he was as skilled as he is
Omar Angel Garcia I just separated with my daughters mom and wout kamikaze I wouldn’t have made it. He always drops a great cd when I need it most. I was in rehab when recovery came out.
People can talk him down all they want these days, but back in 99-03 Em was untouchable. The Slim Shady LP & The Marshall Mathers LP were two of the greatest pieces of work in Hip-Hop. His schemes, wordplay, patterns, multi syllables and of course punchlines are just elite level tier writing.
100 percent…. The slim shady lp and the Marshall Mather’s lp was just a masterpiece of work.. the stories the word play the rhymes.. just godlike…. No other rapper ever can match that ……
Despite all the bad things you can say about the man, Marshall manage to break a multi-generational cycle of parenting abuse and built up a sense of family second to none. Adopting kids that werent his own and raise them as his own childrens. Even with all the shit going on in his life he managed to pull through it. He is a truly remarkable man, i can't even fathom how difficult his childhood must have been, everything he has he worked hard for it. I have an immense respect for him.
Andrew Chavers I tend to agree with you. Calling something "reverse racism" is a form of racism in itself. If you're being nasty about someone skin colour it's racism and all the people telling Dre not to sign him purely because of his skin colour had a problem. Dre said to them "I don't care if he's purple."
@@trueCrimeGuruYes yes Dre did and I have to say Eminem was very important when I was growing up his music got me through a lot.ill be a fan till I collapse
I followed Marshall/Shady/Em from the beginning. When all my friends were saying omg, he’s a monster. How could you listen to that. My reply was, I guess I’m a monster too, cause I relate to everything he says. Like Shady said, please stand up! To me, he was my friend, my counselor, and the reason I’ve had the strength to live this long. Thanks Marshall. May peace be with you.
Juls same he got me through some dark times when I genuinely attempted to end my life several times when I was found and rushed to hospital each time he was there to get me through living in foster homes from 8yrs old he helped me though emotionally physically and sexual abuse I would cry myself to sleep every night not knowing where I would be the next day or coming back from school to see my clothes in bags and another foster mother didn’t want me and I was back to homeless from the age of 8 I hated my life I couldn’t cope at all I really couldn’t all of the abuse was enough for me and I got abuse at school to I couldn’t go anywhere without it all following me and it hurts but all those people who hurt me I don’t hate them I thank them they made me who I am today a better stronger person a better mother to my 2 children a better person inside and stronger JULS PLEASE NEVER EVER GIVE UP YOU ARE LOVED YOU ARE SPECIAL YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL YOU DO HAVE A PURPOSE YOU ARE NEEDED IT MAY NOT FEEL LIKE IT NOW BUT IT GETS BETTER SLOWLY I MEAN IT WILL BE 3 yrs in feb since I lost my father exactly a year after that it was my uncle (my moms brother) lost his life to cancer then my auntie(my moms sister) got cancer and is now in remission then my grandmother just past away on November 24th to COPD IN NEARLY 3 years I’ve lost 18 people in my family and 28 in my husbands it’s hard I’m struggling but I have to keep faith it will get better because if I don’t I WILL give up on life that’s where I am at right now I’m here for anyone who needs it because each and everyone of you are beautiful amazing people who have a purpose in life sending you all the love in the world from the uk 🇬🇧
When I felt like shit and put on Eminem I just embraced feeling like shit lol. Not sure if it was good or not. But yo what's with people saying they attempted suicide? How the fuck do you fail at killing your SELF?? You're right there...
BS4LEM OGAMI yes I was there but I was a child and going through a hell the first time I was 8yrs old and I’d been Put in care after years of abuse mentally, emotionally, physically and sexually you have no idea I can’t believe you could say things like that and not be ashamed of yourself judging someone because they attempted suicide because you have lack of empathy and emotions to say what you just did shows what type of person you are and that’s disgusting
@@kathleenwetherell1205 I don't, I have just been to a lot of psych wards, been in therapy almost my whole life, been in groups with all sorts of different people with issues...I can just tell you're lying that's why I'm making fun of you.
Lying about what I am not here to impress anyone for a start I’m a 31yr old mother on 2 children you don’t know my life you aren’t the only one in the entire world who has had therapy and IF you even have you would know that in therapy you don’t judge anyone because a person in therapy has been judged there entire life you don’t know me or my life I did get put into care when I was 8years old because my father was abusive and my mother chose my father over her only child he mentally and physically and emotionally abused the crap out of me and put me in hospital a lot over the years and I was sexually abused and raped from the age of 8years old until 11yrs old by a person who grew up with my father he threatened to kill me and my family and would strangle me until I got the point I have nothing to lie about at all I didn’t make you read my comment or reply to my comment it’s because of people like you being judgemental and arrogant that people do hate there lives and even consider suicide and that’s something nobody should take lightly because that is absolutely disgusting for you to come out with what you did that just proves my point if you HAD EVEN been through therapy you wouldn’t act the way you do the only difference is I’m actually doing something with my life and not judging and discriminating people on the paths they tried to take or are taking I think you need to seriously consider what your saying before you open your mouth because if I was a suicidal person right now your disgusting disrespectful comment could of made me make the decision to live or die and clearly you are a person who only considers themselves important and nobody else smh
You know how you know Eminem is the GOAT?..from people like me who listen to Rock and Metal.. and LOVE Eminem. Absolutely he’s the GOAT. So talented, real, everyone can sense his greatness. Not manufactured, no ghost writers, etc.. just him. Rock on Em. 🤘
The songs Not Afraid and Love the way you lie got me through depression back in 2010 and 2011. I didn't have a smart phone at the time so I used to pop into a cyber cafe and spend up to 100 shillings just listening to those two songs and crying my demons out. And I was a student so money was tough. Love Eminem
I was 10 when I first heard a song of Em. From this day on I was hooked. I'm now 28. None of my friends like/love his music like me... But that was never a problem for me. Eminem is the G. O. A. T! His music and his lyrics are incredible and nobody can write songs and rap like him. Thanks for everything Marshall. Your music helped me a lot
Shout out to Eminem rakim and Eric b Redman ice t schooly d Kool g rap and DJ polo Nas naughty by nature Tupac Shakur biggie smalls masta Ace Wu Tang clan method man and more
Recently I went thru a huge depressive episode i was almost certain I wasn't gonna survive but Eminem's music was one of the biggest things that helped me cope and recover. Im feeling the best I've felt in years now
Marshall Mathers is the single most advanced wordsmith in any kind of music . Nobody can touch his linguistic playfulness, nor his brutally honest abrasiveness, yet all that man does is spit wickedly worded truth . He´s a genius, straight up and I absolutely love the way he does his stuff . Another lifesaver for me .
Tom Macdonald gives me the same goosebumps that the old Eminem did. You can hear it in his music, I could tell right away that he grew up idolizeding Em. Now his the number 1 independent artist in the world. People need this brand of music, they need to hear the truths that no one else has the balls to say. My two favorite rap artists : Eminem and Tom Macdonald, hands down!!!
I was always poor. We got the same bday. I went to 19 schools moving around. The chubby white chick from the trailer park. I write tons of poems. I am 44 now. My dad was like his mom. Our paths in life just ran side by side. I am glad he made it.
Same, well I'm 15 but I've been lived so fucking hardly since ever, my childhood time wasn't easy at all, but I remember in one of my worst moments my father talked to me about eminem's life and since then I'm practicing to be a rapper, and he's my biggest idol and inspiration
@@Aaron-ii3xz yes and that was before putting myself through college. That took 4 more just for my AA. I gave up on my BS I still love to learn. My dad was a alcoholic and always ran from his charges. He lost his Dl the year I was born habitual DUI. He never stopped driving until a few years ago he went blind. He did get saved now but he still suffers alot and pays for all the bad decisions. It tought me what not to do. I never had kids and I never blamed any poor behavior on my childhood. I knew I didn't want to bring kids into the chaos. But when u have so far to climb out of the family hole....it feels like u can only fly so high. I own my car home land etc. I owe nothing on ccds. I don't buy more then I need and I am happy with the things I have. It made very adaptable to people a great judge of character and it made me humble and appreciative. For those things I am greatful I had it hard.
Loria Lowery WhatsApp me at 60176908953 my Malaysian number . I would love to get to know you better. I can relate a lot too as my childhood wasn’t great either. My parents split 18 years ago my dad was and is still very abusive towards himself and others especially his own two kids. he hated my mum for leaving him cuz he lost his temper and accidentally pushed her down the staircase so the day that happened was the day my mum had enough of him and took me and my bro out from the hse and left to another man’s hse my mum was currently dating back then and is married to that man too. it was a disaster and huge hole. I’m 26 now slowly recovering so I gotta keep calm and stay more positive towards life and less hate cuz I used to hate people a lot probably cuz I never had a good upbringing and my parents were lost in their own worlds so it was hard!
They should make a movie about Proof and D12. Eminem as producer and actor. But Proof(Michael B Jorden) featured as the main character. All box office earnings go to Proof’s family.
Just watched the Detroit Presidential rally 4 Harris yesterday, it was awesome 2 c him speak & introduce Obama. He's always lived in MI., he obviously loves MI, he's donated a lot of $ to help the ppl there. He's obviously very talented but it's also obvious that he's a very generous & genuine person.
I don't think Kim understands the mental state he was in. Normally, abused/bullied kids need the praise, even in adulthood; because of how they felt growing up. Always feeling like you're a waste of space, don't belong, you're not good enough, etc...; can cause such emotional damage, that they need almost constant reassurance. Reassurance that they're wanted, needed, that they did good, etc... I know, because I was bullied, throughout school. I don't expect praise, but it's a nice reassurance when you get it. Everyone is different.
Young & Delusional With GabiBearXOXO I agree but remember Kim was being passed around foster homes at a young age and I believe she was sexually abused at some point if I remember correctly. I’m sure her story would be quite similar as far as how shitty her childhood is. Also I feel you. I was also bullied as a child and always empathize with others who were as well. It really is profound how much it affects you.
@@SnipE_mS I agree with you as well. What you're saying makes sense. Especially with her background. However; you'd think with her background, she would be more understanding. I think it was just a toxic relationship. You know how you can love someone, but be so toxic for each other in a relationship? That's how I feel about their relationship. I just thought she'd be more understanding.
I found myself tearing up multiple times throughout this video. But I had to stop myself, Eminems story is sad, yes, but I can't feel sorry for him, I feel if I do that, it'd be an insult to his legacy. Just think how many people have gone through what he went, and where they ended up? Murderers or criminals, or dead. Eminems story is one of the greatest stories about overcoming, overwhelming adversity. The fucking universe was against this man, and he looked at it straight in the face and said "That the best you got bitch?" Even if you don't like rap, eminem is one of the most inspirational human beings on this planet.
I remember where I was when I first heard "The Real Slim Shady." I was 9, it came on the radio on a drive with my sister and her friend and I had never heard anything so different, so startling and shocking. By 11 I was hooked. I'm 27 now, and I believe he's the best rapper of all time, lyrically, technically, artistically. I have been able to watch his impact for almost 20 years, and it's unparalleled.
velveteyes79 not only inside you but the environment, upbringing, society those can also have direct impact / influence in shaping you to become a certain person
Congratulations Em!! Now you can add being part of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame to the rest of your triumphs! I ❤ this guy & will continue to be a full-career fan. It’s awesome to see someone only a few years older that’s been through many similar hardships do so very well ….and that’s a huge understatement. I miss Slim Shady though, those were some of the best years in music.
TWO surprise albums, and multiple collaborations and music videos. Anyone who thinks you can’t keep in your prime, or grow even more, has NOT been following this man. He is defying the laws of aging and seemingly gets more intelligent and uses his experiences in a way very few people can. And he still only speaks when he’s certain of what he wants and needs to say, and says it in his own way that nobody can. He’s a Rap God.
Definitely one of the Greatest Of All Time. He's the only rap artist I listen to even though I'm a metalhead. His songs rock and it appeals to people like me. Keep being true M, keep being raw, keep rockin'. 😁🤘
It means the album is long. A little off topic but I think Recovery was his best album. The others before were right up there with the exclusion or relapse. The MMLP2 was great too
Did You really just say that you think recovery was his best album? You've got to be on the younger side! (@ least I hope you are cuz that's the ONLY reason you could say that without being a total idiot!) I'm 30 and I've followed Em as a loyal (but NOT a stan-like) fan since the very very beginning of his professional career/recognition and I ASSURE YOU the 1st Marshall Mathers LP is not only his best album ever but is most definitely beyond a shadow of a doubt the best album ever made by any artist ever! That album will forever be historically iconic!!! Now don't get me wrong, recovery is a good album, but definitely nowhere near his best!
matthew mann, much smarter than an average HS grad. He has a genius, monster vocabulary w artistic twist that gives him the ability to rhyme words w orange etc. I'm not sure of what other field besides writing and music that would clearly show how talented he is. He is as smart as any grad student, anywhere. wonder what his IQ is.. Greatest wordsmith ever.
Eminem is and always will be the 🐐 because he lets everyone into his heart and his mind and he cares enough to try to make changes in our world and he stands up for those being bullied he doesn't tolerate injustice and he does it all with and smile and f you attitude
The greatest of all time 👑🐐from an abused & neglected child, rejected from his passion due to racism to the no.1 highest selling hiphop artist ever & within the top 10 highest selling artists from any genre in music history with Michael Jackson & the beetles. To first hiphop Oscar winner & inducted into the hall of fame. His superstardom is beyond rap he’s touched millions of peoples lives, helping us through abusive childhoods to beating addiction & spoke to our hearts about parenthood. He’s been a wonderful dad to his lil girl & the others he adopted. True inspiration ❤️🇬🇧
@@noone6145 Among other things he said he wished he'd never made any bad songs about his mom and if he could take it back he would and he'd never perform them again..
His mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in the last few years. That doesn’t change anything or make her a great parent. It also doesn’t change the fact that she more than likely has a personality disorder. I’m glad Em made peace with that, anyway. Too bad he couldn’t have settled things with his father before Marshall Senior died. I don’t think that was meant to be.
I love Marshall, he is an amazing person. Everything he went through he still never gave up , he's a man that took his responsibilities seriously and he loved with all that he had. I am amazed at his loyalty to kim and the kids, that speaks to his character and that's why I love him so much 🥰
There's nothing wrong with Relapse its great very creative. Yeah its evil and distressing to some but whats wrong with trying new writing styles. I have no problems with that album. Probably my favorite :)
It's horrorcore. So if you think of it in terms of it's just like horror movies it's not so strange or evil. The concept is horror. On the other hand horror movies are sick and bizarre but no one gets upset until it's in a song.
Exactly people are dumb idiots AND rappers should spit whatever they want this world is just wrong and a wrong world trys to tell you whats right. You wont be right until you decide what's right
He was grew up listening to and was inspired to even start writing BY "Rap's God" like the Grandmaster Caz's and Kool Moe Dee's and Kanes and Rakims and Kool Keiths (and OF COURSE...CANNOT get the "boot camp" training he got from The Outsidaz (Jersey crew featuring Young Zee, Pace Won, Lyrical Queen Rah Digga)...make You FACTOR ALL THAT in the equation?
.....supposedly. I won't give him or the vultures that stole hip hop and rap away frrom Black People the satisfaction of calling this poor wite boy king or god. He's a wite boy who can rap. Really well. Nothing more but maybe A LOT less.
He chose his words very badly there for sure, at that exact point he should have said something akin to 'he lived in a reversed societal situation for what is the norm of the white child in America'. There was no mention of bullying, being attacked physically or mentally (especially because of his colour), in that part of the conversation, so racism should not have even been mentioned at all.
@@theoldwaywasbetter6384 omg ur dumb or something i know it was racism but thats not the right term look it up for smething to be racist your rafe has to be supressed in society look it up
apparently the dictionary changed on many sources to only include disadvantaged races. Though most of crying about racism comes from black and white americans. Not chinese, not indian, etc.
Popular mods why is that racist??? It’s just stating a fact. While I totally agree racism is racism, we’re told that’s not true by those of color. So that’s the first thing that crossed my mind, the quandary. I’m not really sure pointing a fact out is wrong. Just being real and bringing honesty to the discussion. The solution???? Stop talking about color. There’s good people, and bad people, and while I believe in love and acceptance not judgement, for lack of a better word, we should all be “judged” by our actions not color. Whether black white yellow red or purple.
Alex Anton I totally dig 3am too-and just about everything else he has done. God, I fell head over heels for him almost 20 years ago-but never thought he was attractive then. The past 5 years or so though that's completely flipped. Now, he is ridiculously sexy and keeps looking better as time goes on. His music is better now than ever. Beautiful metamorphosis.
Andrea Brooke OtisMoon GoodScout SmilingJax You're not alone girl. I've always thought he was the man of my dreams. But then i got married so that stop😁. I still think he's handsome though👍👍👍
Ive always been for the last 4 decades of my life, been a total rock fan. The stones allman brothers, springsteen you know. Then i see this sophie on some you tube lonfon talk show and she starts doing this chika chika chika eminem thing and i liked it. So many years i wasted not listening and not following this extraordinary( putting it mildly) phenominally talented man. What a talent. Found his stuff now. Better late than never.
Yeah, every human (or whatever) smiles or feels happy in childhood time, at least one time, but when you grow up, things are not the same, specially if you had or have a so fucking hard life
"I could never ever give these people what they want" it's the truest thing about celebs, people have high expectations beyond belief .. I was glad he released the song Stan .. ppl needed to chill tf out
Eminem had the world againist him, and was told he would never make it. He went through so much shit and still became one of the most successful rappers ever! Gives me so much motivation.
Only a person who doesn't no shit about hip hop would say that and em is in my top 2 rappers but statements like no one can beat em when so many rappers do things better than him come from ppl who no nothing about the culture. Eminem is only the best in the technical aspect but he has many horrible flaws like every other rapper. U only listen to ppl u can relate to or who speak ur language and that doesn't make u a hip hop fan
Tupac and B.I.G was a completely different time. It’s unfair to say because no one knows what the future held for them if they were not killed. Eminem worked hard to be #1
I am 65 years old, and I love Eminem. He is more than an artist to me. He is the KING of hip hop. His ability to write lyrics about anything is out of this world! I think he is one of the greatest rappers of all time. His honesty is amazing. Iva, Denmark
I am the same age as Mr Matthers and I honestly feel like I grew up with him. He truly is a voice for our generation. I am very ignorant about social media and have no clue what to do when you want to contact an artist. When I was younger we had to write to an address on cassettes. Like Stan. In my drunken state I went to his concert. I can say I was there but I can't honestly say I saw him in concert. I was so drunk I have little memory of the evening. That sucks so bad and ill always regret it. I know of course who wouldn't want to meet Marshall Matthers? I am a loyal and huge fan but I don't want an autograph on a Starter cap. I just wish I could let him know how much our generation values him. He put the fun in dysfunctional for so many people that were in pain from life circumstances and gave us permission to laugh at his music that dealt with alot of really hard issues that people our age had gone through. He deserves nothing but respect as an OG. Damn we're old. For every time you have genuinely shared yourself with us. For every smile you've brought to our faces. .... Thank you Mr Matthers. I hope we grow old together.
I relate to this. I was living in a housing project in Detroit as a young child. I was one of only a few white kids in my elementary school and I had to walk to school everyday. It was right before the race riot happened. As a little girl, it left such an impact and I had to go through struggles trying to belong and lived through a lot of fear then. My parents didn’t have much money and were working and going to school and throughout my young life I didn’t have much. But the struggle also molds you. We later moved out of the city and into the suburbs. I am so proud of Eminem and especially that he grew up here and continues to live here in Michigan.

Jimmy Iovine also had a huge role in making Em

I didn't live a very tough life I moved around a bit, I never fit in, i was bullied but I had my parents. But I absolutely loved his music. I wasn't full of rage but I did feel alone. And listening to his music was fun for me for the comedic value and raw lyrics.

Why didn't u mention the eminem show and Relapse, on that topic, personally I think Relapse is better than Marshall Mathers LP.

Reverse racism is saying how he was bullied and picked on for being white by in a predominantly black environment all the time
Truth
Andrew Chavers I tend to agree with you. Calling something "reverse racism" is a form of racism in itself. If you're being nasty about someone skin colour it's racism and all the people telling Dre not to sign him purely because of his skin colour had a problem. Dre said to them "I don't care if he's purple."

We need to see him doing that but he keeps everything out of the public eye but we need to know how he donate to the charities
Young & Delusional With GabiBearXOXO I agree
They weren't in love. They were using each other to escape from the same fucked up shit. Thnk they jus dint wana feel alone.

Get out of your youtube feels you pathetic little man

I remember where I was when I first heard "The Real Slim Shady." I was 9, it came on the radio on a drive with my sister and her friend and I had never heard anything so different, so startling and shocking. By 11 I was hooked. I'm 27 now, and I believe he's the best rapper of all time, lyrically, technically, artistically. I have been able to watch his impact for almost 20 years, and it's unparalleled.
Ilove his music❤❤❤❤❤🎉😊😂
Eminem's story is great. How can you not love a rags to riches tale???? Always root for the underdog.
Could have easily been the makings of a serial killer. Did something constructive instead.
Definitely
Bro you're right man

he is a true killer of beats and destroying careers

I listen to Eminem because he says things straight up. I support that all the way.

The meaning of STAN came from Eminem. When you STAN someone.
It's actually an abbreviation of STalker fAN.

The marshall mathers LP is one of the greates albums of all times.
One of his greatest songs ever also. I wish he would make a Marshall Mathers part 2. It would be perfect to go at his critics...
Ems first 4 albums are the best rap albums of all time
Do you know what LP means?
He may have dropped out of High School but ironically he in many ways is smarter then the Average High School Certificate Or Diploma Graduate
matthew mann, much smarter than an average HS grad.
School doesn't define ones intelligence.

matthew mann Doing well in school doesn’t prove that you’re smart; It proves that you’re disciplined and have a good memory. Nothing more.
Also, you mean “smarter than”. It’s a comparison. Just so you know.
And now he is the highest-selling artist of all time. Never give up!
That's a lie
he isn't even close to the highest selling artist of all time.
Not even near top 100. Frank Sinatra's sold more.
Lmao you’re delusional.
Eminem is and always will be the 🐐 because he lets everyone into his heart and his mind and he cares enough to try to make changes in our world and he stands up for those being bullied he doesn't tolerate injustice and he does it all with and smile and f you attitude

To first hiphop Oscar winner & inducted into the hall of fame. His superstardom is beyond rap he’s touched millions of peoples lives, helping us through abusive childhoods to beating addiction & spoke to our hearts about parenthood. I caught that too lol
9th grade in Detroit is pretty much senior year of college.... congratulations on making that far
“He have never painted a pretty picture of his mom”
Then you haven’t heard headlights
This seems like it was made pre-Marshall Mathers LP 2.
What they said
@@noone6145 Among other things he said he wished he'd never made any bad songs about his mom and if he could take it back he would and he'd never perform them again..

It wasn't "reverse racism." It was just racism.
Lol yes
He chose his words very badly there for sure, at that exact point he should have said something akin to 'he lived in a reversed societal situation for what is the norm of the white child in America'.
There was no mention of bullying, being attacked physically or mentally (especially because of his colour), in that part of the conversation, so racism should not have even been mentioned at all.
true but technically your race has to be suppressed as a whole for it to be deemed "racist" the right term is that em was discriminated against.

Reverse racism? Isn’t racism just racism
not according to black ppl, they can't be racist 9_9
TheGuruStud that my friend, is racist
apparently the dictionary changed on many sources to only include disadvantaged races. Though most of crying about racism comes from black and white americans. Not chinese, not indian, etc.
I guess the definition of racism is “white guy says or does something bad to a colored person in a hateful or oppressed way.”
So... I just went 57 minutes without moving... worth it.

With all due respect to Pac, Biggie, Jay and maybe Kanye but there is no one that can beat Em’. He is the greatest of all time.
I love him❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😊😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉🎉
I relate to this.
