In this video myself, Tom and James head to a Bothy in the Cairngorms to avoid the rain during the night. The hike begins from the Linn of Dee carpark and is roughly an easy flat 5 miles walk. The path is gravel and follows the river down to the bothy. There is no phone signal if you’re heading to this bothy. This has to be one of Scotland’s best kept bothies. This bothy only opened in 2022 or got renovated then. The bothy sleeps 8 people on bunk beds and even includes a compostable toilet round the back. There are 2 rooms, 1 is the main room with a muti-fuel stove and eating are and the other room is sleeping area. I hope you enjoy this video as much as we enjoyed the stay.

Nice drone shots. I don't know why they put 'three toilets in one', (except for amusement value) not many people like using them. We had a few like that over here in NZ and people would wait until the other person had finished their business and then they went in. Defeats its purpose really. The Bothy is much like our hut system, even with drying racks, I am talking about the ones of the beaten track, not your tourist types (which even have showers). @@aries2256 Our toilets are a bit different, in that they all go into the same hole and were meant to be used by one or three people at the same time. 😊

Why the toilets are in series i mean how could ….its matter of privacy 😳😳😳
There like that for rotation. So the same one isn't being used everytime to manage the waste. You would all be sitting in a line on them 🤣
