The Lairig Ghru and a stay at the Corrour Bothy

  • After almost 2 weeks of low cloud and rain in the West Highlands I went east, over to the Cairngorms to see if it was better there. I was feeling a bit low in mood on this trip and gave a few of my thoughts on solo hiking to the camera. It was a beautiful walk and a great stay in the atmospheric Corrour Bothy and despite feeling down I'm glad I did it and really, really love this film.

    Thanks for sharing. I'm planning a route to this place in the future. I think your experience proves that walks like this are a mental challenge, just as much as they are a physical challenge. Walking alone I mean. That's what I'm preparing myself for when I undertake it.

    Thanks for a fine video. I want to return this summer, 45 years since walking that famous pass as a kid. I aim to do the 4 Munros.
