Yes its possible. If the driver is in a major city and they actually cherry pick the rides and park the car until they get good rides. Wheels dont spin until good rides come.

How do you know how much to talk and when to be quiet?
I normally look at the passenger in the eye and welcome them. Ask them how their day is going and sometimes talk to them and maybe one or two questions. If they're on their device and or if there's a group of people and they don't want to engage then I get quiet, but generally, if you can ask them a few questions and make it about them, the ones that want to talk will talk.

Just don't take the toll road.

I haven’t had that issue with the toll roads and I take it at least 4 to 5 times a week and I do verify that they pay me for the tolls… now if you go use the tolls when the map is telling you to take the regular freeway then possibly …If they did not pay me, I would definitely call customer support and I’m sure they would reimburse you… I definitely would not take the regular freeways when the toll roads are available as you will definitely add minutes to your trip which will make you have a less per hour average
Uber used to pay me for toll roads. Last few trimes, I tried it would not pay me for some reason.I'm not sure why. I tried to contact customer support.And they wanted me to give them a receipt.. It's all automated, so there's no receipt.So I was not able to get me reimbursed. Now I just avoid the toll road.It's not worth it for me. It's these kind of shady things that uber does that I don't like and I created my youtube channel to help all other drivers.
