@@Katherine_Ann Same! I'd say it's impossible to not be burnt out on that floor. But also not surprised ER/ICU are at the top of the list.

I spent quite a few years servicing hospital equipment and I noticed that nurse burnout isn’t obvious to the casual observer while the nurses are on duty but when I’d run into them in the cafeteria or after work - that’s when it all came out. It’s a helpless feeling because unless you’re a shrink all you can do is listen sympathetically and let them vent.
