This is why Mojaxx is currently the best reviewer out there IMO: New shiny DJ stuff, like Pioneer DJ's DDJ-1000SRT, comes out and literally, every DJ vlog is struggling over each other to be the first with a "review", typically based on only a few hours of inhouse fumbling with the equipment. Not so much for this channel. Mojaxx will typically only do a first impression and then test it out for months in a live club environment. Which results in stand-out excellent reviews that provide in-depth product feedback details, which you simply cannot find on any other DJ channel. Keep up the good work!
Not really. I have my MC 7000 just over 3 years now and I'm still excited about what Denon built here. Solid as a tank and full of features. As I see it, Pioneer has taken with the DDJ 1000 SRT only something old and re-packaged it, associated with advertising :-) So you get the warehouse empty ;-) If the jog wheels are not important or various effects from Pioneer or the Mag.Fader, then not worth an upgrade! An innofader in the MC 7000 and the job is done :). What brings me the Serato Suite with all the Serato effects, if I can not control them with the controller. Also missing is the needle search. a really good feature... When you buy a MC 7000 you also get 3 serato packs for your money. The price performance ratio is not right for the DDJ 1000 SRT. Pioneer just sells old technology :-)
Yes! I saw the leaked pictures on Reddit! So glad to know that it's very real!!! Too bad about the standard Fx Layout that all serato DJ controllers had. But I imagine it won't be a huge loss for those who are used to using the Mixer's FX.
Mo, thanks for the comprehensive review. I just spent a few hours on my newly purchased SRT and it’s really quite nice. The hardware mixer enables minimal cpu hit, so I can run ableton in the same laptop with no hiccups in sync. I do have a question. On the SC5000 prime models you could run slicer loop mode with no actively playing track (meaning I have a selected loop but the track is not playing) and each “slice” could be triggered intermittently. I used that mode constantly to fly through remixes. This box will only trigger sounds when the selected loop is playing. Do you know of a setting, hack or update pending which could address this? It seems small, but I really loved this feature on the Denon rig. Thanks in advance!
thats right!!!! probably pioneer is already working on a ddj 1000 mk2! then they can continue to sell the old stuff to the Serato user. after all, the ddj 1000 is already a while on the market.
Does anyone know when Pioneer will come out with a new battle mixer or upgrade to the S9? Been looking at the Reloop Elite but I don’t want to rush it if Pioneer has something up their sleeve.
would buy this tomorrow it it had fader curves on the hardware. Which I adjust as I perform all the time. I find it hard to believe it’s only on the software, poor decision by pioneer, design obviously a technician and not someone who DJs and used curve control in a live environment. Will serato bring out a upgraded version of this controller with CF curve on finally????? Also with a better way to jump through the track that using the beat jump buttons?A kettle lead power cable would be good also, along with waveform on the hardware
Other than the annoying issues (sometimes) with properly analyzing songs I absolutely stand behind rekordbox and am happy with my DDJ-1000. Glad the serato guys get a chance to use one of the best controllers on the market although the rekordbox version is a little better.
they can be, i remapped it to the slicer pads, and used the the mics low eq knob for the value, once it was set, i remapped the low eq knob back to normal or you can leave it if you want to adjust the values on a mix etc.
Can't believe there are no Flip buttons!! :( :( I use flips EVERYWHERE now!! :( :( Do you know if you can you map them to another button? And, if yes, will the mapped button light up when Flip is engaged like it does on the SX3?
Bro, you're just A BEAST in this industry. Been a big fan of yours for years so thanks for this info. I got my DDJ-1000 back in early 2018 and I LOVE IT....EXCEPT....well, I didn't like the fact that Rekordbox was not compatible with my external hard drive (Mac OS formatted) so I had to get my music to a FAT32 formatted hard drive. That shit sucked! Anyway, I hope that my Mac OS hard drive can be read by this one since its using Serato DJ Pro software - if so, then I'll retire my "Ole Bessy" - my DDJ-SX2. She's been my best controller and held me down for soooo lonnnggg. Lastly - you know what would be GREAT??!! If..."SRT" actually means...."Serato...Rekordbox...Traktor". This thing would KILL THE GAME if all platforms could play on it. But for now, I'm just gonna stick with my DDJ-1000 and my Traktor S5. Great review mate! Peace ✌🏿🎶
@@abo7uson I can dig it. But for me, I like the bigger jogwheels and how the pad effects work on the DDJ-1000. OH - and the screens inside the jogwheels are simply dope! Using Rekordbox, you can modify them the show what you want to be seen. I've had my SX2 since it first came out and it was my fav controller for a long time. Just glad I'm trying something diff. Peace! ✌🏾
i own the ddj-sz. what is the diference between my controller and the DDJ-1000SRT? it seems that the DDJ-1000SRT have more options with half the price... what's the catch?
DJ MARATON דיג'יי רונן מרטון i have SZ and 1000 as well. Better in SZ is more spacious, proper serato loop controls, serato FX controls, and better phono preamps. Better in SRT is mechanical jogs, jog screens with basic info, pioneer beatFX with 14 FX.
@@djestrela2 for more space we should pay almost double??? the missing serato fx is filled by the 14 fx of the mixer - that are post fader (not like the sz...). if i would buy it today - i would buy the 1000 for sure
same here, asking myself the same question. Only difference are the pressure jog wheels, mixer effects and serato display. Other than that it's neither an uprade or downgrade. Pretty much the same thing
@@almixx I've been debating this. I still think the DDJ SZ2 is better. I honestly like the way the effects sections is setup on the SZ2 and dedicated flip button. Everyone talks about it being too big, but the size is the appeal to me. I'm hoping a DDJ SZ3. Fingers crossed!
I worked on the DDJ 1000 at the club & that piano finish was a dust & fingerprint magnet... It looked disgusting after the first night of use.. So just a note, always have a soft cleaning cloth.
I want to get the srt or original srt for mobile gugs but im worried about the fader reliability and something happens to them i have to send it in compared to just doing it myself but all the other controllers that can do that lack peformence what should i do
I tried tractor and there was another software but can’t remember the name tried this in 2011And I think I tried record software off as well on the mix track pro DJ controller don’t like it that was like my first controller I have been doing DJIng way before that but keeping in track of using Serato Dj which I’m still using nowAre use Virtual DJ as well but I’m very happy in using Serato Dj and the DJ 1000 SRT which I recently got literally couple of days ago
There really needs to be a Pioneer DDJ-800SRT for those of us who use Serato and have no use for 4 channels, I do not want to pay the extra money for 2 channels I would never use and the extra size 4 channels require does not appeal as it makes the unit less portable. If Pioneer can make a 1000SRT it probably would not be difficult to produce the 800 Serato version and offer a wider product range.
NEED HELP!!! i have no sound. my speakers are directly connected to the pc. is there any option for such set up? or do i have to connect the speakers direct;y to my pioneer 1000 srt? (im new to serato)
i have been waiting since i saw the leak but now i will have to wait to find out whats the major diff.. im coming from Traktor s2 so if the only diff is a program i think i will save the 100 bucks and get the first ddj 1000
DEEJAY_ HAZEXXTATIC yeah, but that doesn’t adjust the amount pressure you have to put on the platter when scratching ....it just adjust how Stiff or lose the jog wheel is
Great piece of kit, for me it's only draw back is the Centre display, once again not being full size, to show wave form, maybe pioneer should think about doing away with it and opting for a separate larger plug in display as an add on feature if you did that then HEY ! You,ve GOT ME DUDE 👍🏽
Pioneer should really release a firmware for the RB DDJ1000 that will allow you to use it with Serato if you have the "club kit". That way serato gets its cut and the rest of us have a choice. I love RB, but I've got a pair of RP1000MK2 that I'd like to use to their full extent with serato and the DDJ1000
The BPM Auto feature should've been like the s9/72 original 1000. The tech is there and had been since the 900srt. Right now it tries to guess the BPM and the algorithm SUCKS. Why didn't they set it up from the start like the s9?
I think the DJ world needs a DDJ-800SRT to cater for Serato users, if Pioneer can produce the DDJ-1000SRT the software exists to use on the DDJ-800 and give a wider choice to Serato users, I have nothing against Rekordbox but I am used to Serato and want to stay with it but get the benefits of the on Jog displays and the full size tempo fader etc but I have no need for 4 channels, 2 is all I need.
i like mine so far, just find myself reaching for the fader curve adjustment nob that does not exist on the hardware. still deciding which nob to midi map this to.....
I think this is a good controller because all pioneer gear is compatible with Rekordbox so for this controller you are getting two for the price of one. Let me know if I’m over thinking 🤔 about this
But why can't these controllers with built in displays have phase meters? Make no sense to not include that. Am I missing an RB or SRT that does that's not an XDJ?
Really sad too see this horrible trend of software-locked devices. Why can't this "new" device work with Rekordbox?? Ditto for the original with Serato???
No Artwork! I never owned a controller before and contemplated briefly about this until I heard Mojaxx say you can't see artwork displayed on each jog wheel center display. I'm a bit old-school because I still pick tracks like pulling sleeves in a crate of records or CD box but using Serato by looking at the artwork. Doing this method of visual selection I feel each song by seeing it and pick it much quicker than reading text in any crate. Since I'm a visual selector using a computer is still fine for display needs and I'll stick to DVS for the feel and control. Serato & Pioneer didn't go all the way with these DDJ-1000SRT. Maybe next time they'll figure it out or a firmware update...
Dude, you're really gonna use jog displays to crate dig via artwork? Do you use a magnifying glass with that? Just like waveform display on that is silly. BPM display is finally a nice option and does put it in a nice spot for less staring at the laptop when mixing. I hope it stays simple and maybe the next gen with USB-C (3.1) connections with plenty of extra overhead will add in other stuff.
@@MichaelRoehr You make a great point. Thinking about it, this would really suck turning the dial combing through the library like flipping through songs on a phone. lol! In reality I'm visualizing a controller that has Denon DJ Prime 4 display with CDJ-2000NXS2 functionality and a DJM900 mixer standards of beat and color effects and line level controls, pro level input/output. Top it off with running Serato DJ Pro.
Hey, that looks kind of nice! I am left wondering: "what will be the street price?" Nonetheless, and I do not write this rhyme as click bait. No disrespect to you Mojaxx, I am not here to hate. Yet how can I not take notice of this auspicious audio equipment mnemonic date? I write this 13 hours after your video uploaded, from the vantage of UTC 2019-08-08. I wonder if this is a sincere improvement over competitors such as the Roland DJ-808? Albeit, an integrated vocoder and classic drum machine? May be beyond what many want in a controller that is lean!
Has anyone tried to fit a ddj-1000srt in the pioneer djc-sc5 bag to see if it will fit in real-life? Only an actual attempt will answer this! ;) (BTW. The width of the 1000 srt is 4.4 cm wider than the sx2/sx3 units that the djc-sc5 soft bag was made for; and the heights and depths of both ddj units are approx the same - but maybe IN REAL-LIFE the 1000srt WILL fit in the djc-sc5 soft bag?) (I want to see if I'll have to buy another bag too if i buy the 1000 srt - or if I can use the one I have) ;)
Warning, this device has a design flaw by Pioneer. The two headphone inputs, rest on the edge which immediately faces the DJ’s hip or waist (as well as other bodies) which move past the plug, risking bending or breakage. I personally feel the headphone inputs should of been placed by Pioneer on either the controller’s top or rear. The edge which faces the DJ should be smooth, as a busy DJ shouldn’t worry about constantly banging and bumping the headphone plug. Expect damage to both your headphone plug and input socket, if you plan on using this device, regularly. On occasion, I’ll bump the headphone jack and the entire controller slides!
ONLY do that if you're controller user only, and always bring your own controller to your gigs. The jog wheels are very different free spinning things that are so different from Pioneers jog wheels that I doubt I will ever be able to use them properly. There's a bunch of stuff not working properly/satisfying, Serato use still one of them, so bringing this to an important gig is out of question. Garden party with your friends at most. If they work out all software kinks 'n' bugs, and get the Engine Prime to work properly, in time it can be a great DJ tool. Unfortunately if you are thinking of it as a pro tool now, it is not. I will keep mine for a few more weeks to learn what I can, because the manual doesn't cover all of it, for possible future needs. First impressions were so bad that I haven't even looked at it for a week... It is a complicated power house, not an intuitive precision tool. I sold my 6 year old CDJ-2000 Nexus to cover the cost for buying this unit, because I needed something cheaper and easy to set up when my NXS2 setup is way overkill. I'll probably get myself a XDJ-700/DJM-450 combo instead. A little more expensive, less features, but still all I need and I know it will work just as expected. Denon DO work hard to get this unit up to peoples expectations and they reached out to me after posting on the P 4 forum. That is unusual and shows their interest, so in time... If that's good enough for you, and you have the time, get one.
@@dj-peterofficial2753 couldn't agree with you more my guy. Denon makes some nice looking hardware for sure but as far as it being a precise and reliable on a professional level that's out of the question.
@@matthewbohn765 As I said, it depends on what you come from, heaven or hell. I guess you're fine withe the shitty jogs and playing with only vinyl mode, which I'm not. I need the horizontal wave forms at the same time I need a proper browse window where I can see more than half the file name of the 7 songs I can see now, waiting for them to scroll to see the other half, just like the old CDJ-2000's. I don't need the power when there's no precision. I have my music perfectly sorted and will not change my routines or workflow. I just wanted a really good pro tool, easy to use. I set my cue points on the fly where I need them to be song for song all depending on how I'm going to mix in/out the tracks. For that I depend on the stutter when NOT in vinyl mode and it's not there, making it impossible to hear where the first frame is when there's a lot of sounds around that beat in a noisy club environment, even using my headphones. I come from 10 years of using real vinyl in the 80's 90's. Vinyl mode has nothing to do with playing real vinyl and is just an effect mode for me. The first 8 years with CD's there were no vinyl mode, and even then it took a few years before I could afford a set of players that had that and by then CDJ mode is what I use. Again, it depends on what you come from.
The job will adjustment is broke I have it on heavy and it feel like it's one light other people been having problems with the job will adjuster I won't be buying anything from Pioneer ever again looking to get the rane 12
Of course, or they would die, and when SERATO comes with new software functions, the SERATO community will scream for a new controller where you have hardware buttons for it :) . Some will complain because they just got the other version, some because they think there's already too many to choose from and some will always complain about how long they had to wait for the new one :D .
@@dj-peterofficial2753 I highly doubt they will die.(the pioneer brand, that is)Look at TECHNICS,those TURNTABLES were built like tanks.(they were around for decades)I have the very same ones since the early 80s.(No problems)They will out live me.I think you miss my point. Its just a money thing.Just like the I-phone.(with all the upgrades)very unnecessary. But hey,to each their own.All I need is two TURNTABLES,a decent mixer, some ORTOFONs',and some freshly pressed VINYL and I'm good to go.And I'm still getting paid, cause Rick said so.I'm just a purist,(None of this digital stuff, means anything to me)which makes me the minority. And before anyone wants to troll or diss me.Do you! and I'll do me,in other words,Just rock the crowd and have fun!.peace..✌
@@jonathanvillalobos7994 The company is what I talk about :) . As all company's in the world, everything they do is for money of course. They have 1000's of employees who want to get their money every month and keep their job and not get laid off. I have worked for a company who'd been in business for 50 years and the 2 years I was there were 2 of the best years in that company's history. A year after I quit for military duty, the company was bankrupt and all the employees had lost their jobs... Their products still live and will for many years to come, but the projects I was involved with was the last that company ever made. To seek every possible way to make money and to have long term satisfied customers is the duty of every company board. For the owners, the employees and the customers sake. Something to celebrate, in my opinion. I have been a Pioneer gear user since the start in 1994, and have been very satisfied with every product since. Depending how much I 've been playing I've had to go for what my wallet allow me to, but everything I've invested in still works today. I haven't changed that much in the basics of how I play since the time I played vinyl, just added a few trick new tech allows for. I'm not a purist, but I do appreciate when the mixing is done clean and the music is the highlight of a DJ's work, not the mixing itself. You can see that on my channel :) . The live ones are really boring to watch unless you know what I'm really doing, because if you can't hear it, I'm very happy. Perhaps I am a kind of purist, ha ha.
Two very different worlds. This is ready-for-the-road and aimed at DJ's playing regularly on club standard gear, the Prime 4 is not. I have the Prime 4 and I'm utterly disapointed. It probably will be road ready some time in the future and it is a power house... A reliable intuitive precision tool it is not. I normally play 15-17 gigs/month, on my gear or what's installed in the club, and 3-4 times/month I bring my own gear. On important jobs I bring my NXS2 setup, but when that is overkill, I believed the P 4 would be a good alternative, and no, it's not. Maybe in time, but I can't wait. When I buy tools for work, I need them now. I'll keep it for a while to learn everything about it, and then sell it to get something I can use out of the box. Disapointed ? Yes $2000 worth and a lot of valuable time spent.
@@dj-peterofficial2753 Your the first one I see telling this, Ok they not micmic the CDJ workflow but this look like easy to mix. The only con I read from Prime4 is obviously it Desktop software but you can use Rekordox DJ library format and rekordbox usb so who care its even better to still use the Rekordbox Dj format so if you go in a club you ready with any gear.
@@djcvmusic1 Join the Prime 4 Facebook group and you can see how many more have problems. And believe me, I didn't sell my CDJ-2000 Nexus, and spend almost $2000 and valuable time to whine about it I'm truly disappointed..
@@dj-peterofficial2753 to your point if all you do is clubs, then yes perhaps it is a better option and a familiar layout. It is also very true that a new controller just like a lot of new technology can have its quirks, I usually wait till they get the bugs fixed, like when the sx3s came out, had many of them recalled. I do private events only, and im waiting on prime 4s bugs to get ironed out or get a 2 0 versiom to get it. It is a mobile DJs wetdream packed with all the features I normally would need extra gear to do.
@@djdashdfw There is a few key functions that has been on all pro DJ gear since the first CDJ's showed up in 1993. One of them is CDJ-mode, where you hear a stutter, frame by frame. Makes it easy, even in a noisy environment to always set the cue point on the fly on the exact same frame every time. This has been the same on all Denon and Pioneer gear, and most other brands too. Last time I used a Denon was 6-7 years ago, the DN-1200, and since then it's all been Pioneer. But, if I get the expected basics I'm used to, I can perform. For some reason Denon only provided Vinyl mode and one half ass vinyl mode that turns off the touch on the platter but still pauses the music silent, just as in vinyl mode, without stutter. Utterly stupid! That alone makes this unit a brick for me. I could learn or get used to most of all the other stuff, but not that. The DN-1200's were not very good players, but I'd rather use them and burn CD's for my next gig than use the Prime 4.
Pioneer is over - they sold of 'DJ and you can see why. Plastic poor quality with poor sound, no innovation and Denon - oh dayum Denon - pro kit is legit half price and twice better. Lets move on like we did from techs. What keeps us current is not falling into that old trap of sticking with inferior gear. It's time.
I have the Prime 4... What a waste of money. I really believed they'd done something useful this time, and after waiting 6 month, I get a piece of half done, buggy, shitty interface where I have more info on a 10 year old CDJ-2000 screen, and 3 times as much useful info on a 7'' RX2 screen than on this. Not to mention the free spinning jog wheel and non existing CDJ mode, no RGB wave forms and commands for changing view you have too search on UA-cam to find. Engine Prime has a horrible workflow and seeing all the daily problems owners have on the P 4 forum increases by the day. I make my living in the DJ Booth, and I haven't seen a single Denon device in any venue or club yet, except for when my friend and Denon rep brings his own gear. The only good thing I can say about Denon is that they really are working hard to get things right, and they do reach out to people in the forums that have problems to see what's possible to fix and what to prioritize. Have you seen Pioneer lowering prices or get competing gear out in a hurry? Nope, and this is why. If you come from a crappy controller to the Prime 4, you're in heaven, I'm sure. If you are an every-day-user of club-standard gear with a tight workflow and 100% rely on working gear, you're in hell. About quality and layout, the Prime 4 almost got broken the first minute I had it, just another big sigh. All the pioneer gear I have since the mid 90's work just perfect, and yeah, the DJM-300 don't have the best sound quality. It's actually really bad... but from the DJM-800 to my NXS2 there's pretty good to fantastic sound, and there's other parts of most sound systems that is way worse. About lowering the price... Short term fantastic for new customers, long term disaster for existing customers. Having a firm price policy is the only way to get satisfied long term customers. That's why I could finance my P 4 by selling my 6 year old CDJ-2000 Nexus's. If the gear doesn't hold it's value over the time the average user has it, no one's gonna buy it unless they're gonna keep it forever. I'm already worried that Denon is going to drastically lower the price on the P 4, so I'm in a hurry to sell it. Interested?

Wave forms are on the laptop so what’s the point in having screens on the jog wheels ?

@@jamiec4478 Lol that's funny, but that's what I do on my DDJ 1000 with Rekordbox
Peace ✌🏿🎶
dont understand what the 1000 does better than the sx2/sx3?
@@abo7uson I can dig it. But for me, I like the bigger jogwheels and how the pad effects work on the DDJ-1000. OH - and the screens inside the jogwheels are simply dope! Using Rekordbox, you can modify them the show what you want to be seen. I've had my SX2 since it first came out and it was my fav controller for a long time. Just glad I'm trying something diff. Peace! ✌🏾

In your opinion(s). Is this a better choice than the ddj SZ2? I own a SZ2 and am wondering if this is a upgrade or down grade?? What do you think?
same here, asking myself the same question.
WHY IS IT DC IN? And why aren't there waveforms on the jogwheels? that's so stupid to me.

Should I invest in this or Denon or Native Instruments Traktor?
denon prime 4
If money is no object get the sc5000 kit. If cpu needs are an issue don’t get traktor.

NEED HELP!!! i have no sound. my speakers are directly connected to the pc. is there any option for such set up? or do i have to connect the speakers direct;y to my pioneer 1000 srt?

i have been waiting since i saw the leak but now i will have to wait to find out whats the major diff.. im coming from Traktor s2 so if the only diff is a program i think i will save the 100 bucks and get the first ddj 1000
Pioneer still need ot sort the load button feature and the noise effect common simple stuff... Otherwise a usual Mojax amazing and relevant review!!
Does it buffer with a massive music library?
How can you control the Serato effects with the controller?
There are no hardware buttons for it.
FrankyCee i imagine you can map it to any of the cue buttons by switching from ABCD Banks.
You can't without remapping, but get the SP1, and you have all you need and an extra set of pads for the other 2 ch if you plan to use all 4 decks.
Itˋs also support currently Rekordbox DJ?
So which is the best one to midi map on traktor pro?? :p
I brught this and plan to do so much with this controller!
how do you adjust the tension on the platters for scratching?
There is a nob ....not all controllers come with it
THERE IS A NOB CALLED JOG ADJUST NEAR THE JOG WHEELS ON THE RIGHT
DEEJAY_ HAZEXXTATIC yeah, but that doesn’t adjust the amount pressure you have to put on the platter when scratching ....it just adjust how Stiff or lose the jog wheel is
Crazy staff Bro!😉🤙
Great piece of kit, for me it's only draw back is the Centre display, once again not being full size, to show wave form, maybe pioneer should think about doing away with it and opting for a separate larger plug in display as an add on feature if you did that then HEY ! You,ve GOT ME DUDE 👍🏽
Does it work with Virtual Dj ??
Just take all my money now!
Hey can someone help me out?how do i adjust my cross fader it starts mixing the next deck almost as soon as i touch it
Its in your setting on Serato or Rekord box program. You can not adjust the setting on the controller itself. Must be done in app
@@jesusvivardjpm8737 thanks finally got it after watching UA-cam video 👀
Pioneer should really release a firmware for the RB DDJ1000 that will allow you to use it with Serato if you have the "club kit". That way serato gets its cut and the rest of us have a choice. I love RB, but I've got a pair of RP1000MK2 that I'd like to use to their full extent with serato and the DDJ1000
The BPM Auto feature should've been like the s9/72 original 1000. The tech is there and had been since the 900srt. Right now it tries to guess the BPM and the algorithm SUCKS. Why didn't they set it up from the start like the s9?
Thank you Pioneer

Dont but till Mojaxx reviews it
Pioneer has mastered selling toys
Jay Werx ..LOL!
I think this is a good controller because all pioneer gear is compatible with Rekordbox so for this controller you are getting two for the price of one. Let me know if I’m over thinking 🤔 about this
when will we get a new XDJ-1000 as a flagship with 2 decks per player instead of the CDJ line up
But why can't these controllers with built in displays have phase meters? Make no sense to not include that. Am I missing an RB or SRT that does that's not an XDJ?
Really sad too see this horrible trend of software-locked devices. Why can't this "new" device work with Rekordbox?? Ditto for the original with Serato???
It's all about the $$$$$

Finally!
New ddj 1000?

Hey, that looks kind of nice!
I am left wondering: "what will be the street price?"
Nonetheless, and I do not write this rhyme as click bait.
No disrespect to you Mojaxx, I am not here to hate.
Yet how can I not take notice of this auspicious audio equipment mnemonic date?

I wonder if this is a sincere improvement over competitors such as the Roland DJ-808?
Albeit, an integrated vocoder and classic drum machine?
May be beyond what many want in a controller that is lean!
Looks shiny
Has anyone tried to fit a ddj-1000srt in the pioneer djc-sc5 bag to see if it will fit in real-life? Only an actual attempt will answer this! ;)
(BTW. The width of the 1000 srt is 4.4 cm wider than the sx2/sx3 units that the djc-sc5 soft bag was made for; and the heights and depths of both ddj units are approx the same - but maybe IN REAL-LIFE the 1000srt WILL fit in the djc-sc5 soft bag?)
(I want to see if I'll have to buy another bag too if i buy the 1000 srt - or if I can use the one I have) ;)
Warning, this device has a design flaw by Pioneer.
I'm surprised it took them this long. $$$
Great piece of hardware, but for the price, Ill spend the extra couple hundred for the Prime 4...
If that's good enough for you, and you have the time, get one.
dj-peterofficial I’ve done about s dozen gigs with a borrowed Prime 4, without a single issue. I found it extremely easy and intuitive to use.

Perhaps I am a kind of purist, ha ha.
a year too late, and at that pricepoint youd be an idiot not to go for the better, more powerful feature rich Prime 4

Pioneer DJ is at it’s end of it’s club standard. This is desperate. On the sale and still trying to sell the old one?
SRT is overrated
Interested?
