I came to Romania from the UK for my work in 2001, on a 15-month Contract. Still here 23 years later, with a beautiful and most loving Romanian wife and 15 year old daughter, and a lovely house close to the mountains. It became “home” to me in less than a year, instant love affair with this beautiful country.❤️🇷🇴 Caru cu Bere (cart of beer or beer cart) was built as a tavern, a place to drink beer. Now it’s a restaurant as well, but the food can be a bit sub-standard - the beer is good though!

I was in Rumania for two days on April 30 and May 1, this year. Sorry to tell you that my hotel room was a lot bigger with a very large bathroom and the prize was about $175. From Rumania, I went to Budapest. It was a birthday present from my son. Unfortunately, we had to go back to Istanbul to fly to Budapest. What an amazing airport in Istanbul. I never walked so much!! The country side in Rumania is absolutely beautiful. We had a private driver/tour guide and we really enjoyed the trip. Your video is making me relive my experience there. Enjoy your trip. ❤️☮️

From airport to Universitate City Center you have a direct bus number 783 and is only 3 RON. The metro card is 6 RON for two trips so you still have one trip on that caŕd (changing the line does not cost extra ypu pay only one trip)❤

There may be 2 reasons for multinational working staff. Firstly, I think different waiter and waitress coming from different nationalities make the guests coming from different parts of the world feel as if they were in their homecountries. It is a very wise approach to be multinational. This gives a good message. Another reason is that Romanian people don't want to work in the service industry as in the other European countries. They may find the wage is low or Romanian employers may pay less for workforce wages than local people.

Istanbul airport: one of THE unfriendliest airports as far as I’ve experienced. I mean airports are confusing and tiring especially when you’re jet lagged and tired, and have to catch your next flight in an hour. But then imagine landing in an airport that’s as big as a city with freaking no information kiosk, no human being to answer your questions about your flight, etc. It was one of THE most horrific experiences I’ve had in a long time. And people are so unfriendly and unkind.

FYI, Moxy Hotel in old town is a great place to stay. It's affordable, walking distance to many things to do, and just a fun place.
