@stefoxmk7958 Hi "антички Македонец", you even do not know how many in common you have with the Bulgarian. Can you please send me map of the world( before 1991) where your country was shown
My girlfriend is Bulgarian and I live here now after coming here for years. The people are extremely nice and kind but very guarded and hard to open up to trust initially, but once they do they are delightful. The food is unbelievably good - it's not even about specific recipes, it just seems like all the food is good because the quality of the produce and ingredients is good. When I tell people outside of Bulgaria this, they find it hard to believe because the cuisine isn't known well globally. It's hard to describe - I couldn't really point to a specific dish that is good, it just seems like anything you eat (if prepared naturally) will be delicious. Nature is incredible here and it's particularly good because, as the eco-tourism industry hasn't been super developed, it feels more secluded than in other places in the world that have more of a developed tourism industry. Sofia is quite small for a capital so you can pretty much get anywhere in the greater city center area within 20 minutes. Even getting to the airport is very convenient. But I honestly feel that Sofia, while nice, doesn't even begin to approach the true beauty of the country, which you see when you start visiting other cities and towns. The thing that struck me the most, perhaps because I lived in the UK for nearly 15 years before visiting and moving to Bulgaria, is that doing healthy things for body (physically, as in activities, but also preparing food that would be good for your gut, etc) is built in to every-day life and routine. Even things like going to 'spas' in Bulgaria is different to what you might usually imagine - it's not so much about being pampered (although of course you can do this here too), but more so about focusing on the restorative power of natural things like steam rooms, saunas, in many places there's access to different natural spring water and they even show exactly what elements are found in the water (and different springs from different sources will have completely different mineral makeup). I had never seen that before, going to the main square of a town, seeing the fountain where people fill up huge bottles of water to take home, and having signs that outline exactly what elements from the periodic table are present in this particular water and what parts-per-million are there. It truly is unlike anything you might be used to in the 'West'.

Hi Davoud, I really enjoy your videos and I hope you enjoy the time spent in my country Bulgaria. One place I can recommend for you which is not very often advertised in the touristic places to visit, but I think worth checking out is a place called Vitosha morenas (golden bridges. It’s a very picturesque place just few kilometers from Sofia city centre up in the mountain. It is like a nature wonder and two way taxi trip should cost you not more than 50 leva(25euros) it is definitely a place worth checking out. In Bulgarian - морените на Витоша or златни мостове. Good luck with your travels
I enjoy your style of videos. I look forward to watching more. I've been to Sofia, but I learned new things from you. I've also been to Romania so I can't wait to see what you did there.
If you haven't been, try the most authentic food place called Hadjidraganov. Good food, service and cool ambiance. Authentic! Quite accessible with tram. But personally, my favourite resto in Bulgaria is always Happy. I have been to 5 Happy branches on 2 occasions. Cheap, cheerful, best food and just a happy place for me.
Hello! This is the first time I've seen your video and I was very interested to see what you think of my city! I learned about this restaurant from you! It was very interesting! I hope you would come again!
Sofia has a very good, safe and modern transport system. No need to use taxis during the day. If you do use them, the best is "Yellow". They have an app and are the safest to use. Taxis are generally not as bad as they used to be.
Hey👋 I'm from Bulgaria and I love your content! You went to the same restaurant as IShowSpeed a few months ago 😂 I hope you’re enjoying your time in Bulgaria! Next time, you should definitely visit the Rila Monastery or other beautiful spots outside of Sofia-it's a completely different vibe! 😊🇧🇬👍

ආයුබෝවන් 🙏 Nice , clean & beautiful city.. it's surprise to see homeless people in some places, most of hoteliers are speaking English, nice restaurant boy in authentic food restaurant ❤ we feel very sorry for the price offered to you for SIM card. Enjoy your visit to beautiful Bulgaria ❤🇱🇰🇱🇰🇱🇰🇱🇰
Very nice to finally see you in Bulgaria Davud. Restaurant that you choose is good but keep in mind that the center of Sofia is more expensive in general. Too bad that at the airport they tried to scam you with the sim card. Unfortunately there are still people trying to do such things. Btw - if you only need data why don't you buy esim cards in advance from apps like airalo, saily, surfroam and so on? As a traveler myself i find these very useful.
Even though Bulgaria shares a border with Greece I have never been. But I'd love to now. As for Bulgaria being the oldest country, I think maybe that's referring to the creation of modern states. Not the ancient world.
@@МиленДимитров-и2ф There weren't "countries" as they are now in general at that time. That's the point. I think it's important to make that distinction. But nations did exist before Bulgaria including Greece. Just not as we have them now.
Davud you are the only who give explicit details of your visit.i like it.please make a video in Mauritius my country island in the Indian ocean.a paradise.thanks.
I hope that you will have a good time in Bulgaria if you are still here, bro. Sofia is not the best place to get to know Bulgaria but it is not too bad to start. We have way better places, especially nature, in the province.
Just discovered you and love your videos. Just one thing.....could you please eat more and show us foodies. Would love for you to do a comparison video of Bulgaria and Romania as I am considering a trip and not sure where to spend more time. The beach area in Bulgaria looks much nicer. Were you scammed in Romania too?
Shopska salad was created by 'Balkan Tourist' in the mid-1950s and symbolizes the Bulgarian flag: white for the cheese, green for the cucumbers, and red for the tomatoes. It is neither Greek nor from any other nationality. When you're looking for a SIM card, you don't go to a pharmacy or a flower shop, you look for a representative of a mobile operator.
Bulgarian and other Mideast versions of Yogurt has a "bactrecus bulgaricus" which is named after it's founder. Greek and most of the yogurt You can find in the stores around the word and definitely don't have in the greek one. Actual name we use for this this type of milk is "KISELO MLIAKO" Sour milk. It's sour because of this bacteria, which is really healthy for human body an as a probiotic. I like your way to show different countries, thank You.
I also worry about taxi scams, but since Yellow taxi is the official one you can get the app and use that to be sure you are getting a valid taxi OR go to the stands where the official taxi's are and NEVER go with someone who is inside the building trying to get you to go with them. I had no problems with taxis in Sofia using this. (oh I see you mentioned it later on. Oops.)
Мусака, aka. Musaca, is Greek, but we all prepare it differently. Bulgaria has some truly amazing vegetables and Fruits, so naturally, salads are going to be good. I highly recommend going to the marketplace and trying some different types of Tomatoes. This won't be possible at the restaurant, go explore, visit villages and try, considering that food will strongly seasonally depend! The yogurt milk you are asking about is particularly in Bulgaria, actually, you must take some fresh milk and you can create this yogurt yourself, this is how my grandmother actually makes it... the yogurt you are consuming is a both in the shop, and truly is different, try real home dame and you will know the difference :P
Yogurt is not significantly different from others. It was simply created in Bulgaria and other nations have learned to make it. And in this regard, the original Bulgarian yogurt, which is high in fat, definitely tastes better.
Mate, you've mentioned the SIM card about 100 times now. They're not trying to scam you; they're just upselling because she needs to reach her sales target. Bulgaria is part of the EU, so anyone coming from the EU won't have any problems using their local number. Also, if you do want to buy a SIM card, there are plenty of eSIMs available. For example, if you have Revolut, they sell them on the app. Thanks for visiting and promoting our country.
Davud.I was looking forward to your first video about Bulgaria. You came here, thank you. And... you were greeted by nasty taxis, attempted scam, unfriendly receptionist, unprepared room, ugly graffiti, beggars, acceptable food. I hope the rest of your stay is positively memorable.
Why the receptionist to be unfriendly? It was normal i think. Graffiti are always ugly everywhere. Beggars ? Go in Paris or Rome to see what means REAL Beggars. Nothing to be ashamed of .
I see you’re very impressed and surprised by the few beggars and homeless on your way, which is a bit strange to me. The central parts of Paris, London and New York will certainly shock you in that regard then ;)
😁, Yes we have to explain to Davud, because he is not a travel, he is just a child, who live in a village and his first time in the city, so is everything new for him, well that's how he is representing himself in video: "uaaa a few homeless in the city, that waiter in not pleased to be shown and promote in Ytube, that one is,...like a child first time in the city. 🤔....is that act deliberately or he is really a child from village. Of course i don't like to see any homeless anywhere in the world, i wouldn't even mentioned them, it brakes me apart, like for example in NY is really sad, but Davud like to expose to video and even talk in easy (cold). On the other end like you said, doesn't know what's going on in some part of EU and USA, well like i said a child from village, who never been in the city, Sofia is his first one and also doesn't have internet to look, good bless him not knowing the tragedy going around.
Davud then the country must be so expensive,in my country in africa the sim card is 5gh cedis, which is 30cents wow africa is not expensive to leave In,enjoy the country🎉🎉🎉❤
Bulgaria created the Cyrillic alphabet that slavic countries use today. Also Bulgarian is the oldest slavic language and all others (including Russian) come from it!
The special about Bulgarian yoghurt is the Lactobacilus Bulgaricus bacteria which is responsible for the long life of the Bulgarians in the mountain areas, as it lives freely there in the air. Fun fact - it has to be cultivated outside Bulgaria, as it dies when it leaves our air, but here it lives all around - just blessing of God. About the beggars. As Bulgarian I'm not happy to say that most of the beggars are Gypsies and who are well organized and are exactly in the center because of the many tourists, but it is as it is. We have a very bad government so...

Hi man :). You have nice videos and i watching you from Slovakia :).
Bro your english is very sweet ❤❤❤
Very nice to finally see you in Bulgaria Davud. Restaurant that you choose is good but keep in mind that the center of Sofia is more expensive in general. Too bad that at the airport they tried to scam you with the sim card. Unfortunately there are still people trying to do such things.
Btw - if you only need data why don't you buy esim cards in advance from apps like airalo, saily, surfroam and so on? As a traveler myself i find these very useful.
We are watching from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰❤️🇱🇰🙏
Even though Bulgaria shares a border with Greece I have never been. But I'd love to now.
As for Bulgaria being the oldest country, I think maybe that's referring to the creation of modern states. Not the ancient world.
@VoltesWithElias BULGARIA 🇧🇬 IS one of the oldest county in Europe
The country is named Bulgaria since 681 AD. There wasn't country called Greece (as a political state) before 1832.
@@МиленДимитров-и2ф There weren't "countries" as they are now in general at that time. That's the point.
I think it's important to make that distinction. But nations did exist before Bulgaria including Greece. Just not as we have them now.
@@margaritachikova7561 I agree. One of the oldest for sure.

Davud you are the only who give explicit details of your visit.i like it.please make a video in Mauritius my country island in the Indian ocean.a paradise.thanks.
😻wow lovely Davud great 👌and very fancy yogurt enjoy your special way of exploring 🤤
I was dating a Bulgarian man and he was a good one, hopefully we will meet again someday Geri, I miss you 😊
Geri is a female name you know. Lol
I hope that you will have a good time in Bulgaria if you are still here, bro. Sofia is not the best place to get to know Bulgaria but it is not too bad to start. We have way better places, especially nature, in the province.
stayed right there, ate at the restraunt, its amazing
Just discovered you and love your videos. Just one thing.....could you please eat more and show us foodies. Would love for you to do a comparison video of Bulgaria and Romania as I am considering a trip and not sure where to spend more time. The beach area in Bulgaria looks much nicer. Were you scammed in Romania too?
6:18 btw there are also gates, on the M3 line
❤nice place nice food,, enjoy your vedyo ❤❤❤❤
Arrived in Sofia yesterday 😃
That tomatoes salad would have been great with the mousaka :) Try next time :)
Oops.)
very generous tips
Welcome Neal again Davud
Nice video with good food
Thank you for viewing world
you are welcome sri lanka
❤🇧🇬Beautiful
Направо умрях от срам от всичко това! Срамувам се!
Very sad actually, because BULGARIA has a lot to offer 😏
Why the receptionist to be unfriendly? It was normal i think. Graffiti are always ugly everywhere. Beggars ? Go in Paris or Rome to see what means REAL Beggars. Nothing to be ashamed of .
I see you’re very impressed and surprised by the few beggars and homeless on your way, which is a bit strange to me. The central parts of Paris, London and New York will certainly shock you in that regard then ;)
Yes London is full of street beggars & not just the central part even the outskirts. The majority of these beggars originate from Eastern Europe.
New York isnt the us capital but you are correct its not shocking
Davud is Great gentlemen
Davud then the country must be so expensive,in my country in africa the sim card is 5gh cedis, which is 30cents wow africa is not expensive to leave In,enjoy the country🎉🎉🎉❤
Nah they realised he wasn’t Bulgarian so tried to scam him.
Sorry iff you think I am asking a personal question but I like watching your travels
I life in bulgaria in varna city beach side of Black Sea we can meet to show you this city
