There's also an Orthodox monastery there first established in the 1400s. - if you ever get tired of the Old Town bar/restaurant area, take the time to walk along Calea Victoriei (Victory Way). Lot's of cool architecture mostly from late 19th and early 20th century. Along the way you can find the National Museum of Art housed in the gorgeous Royal Palace and the nearby Romanian Atheneum, a concert hall that is one of the most iconic buildings in Bucharest. Also along Calea Victoriei is the Revolution Square (Piața Revoluției), the place where dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu held his last rally and probably sealed his fate. It and University Square (which you've already seen) are probably some of the most emotionally charged places in Bucharest in terms of recent history. - other good museums to visit are the "Grigore Antipa" Museum of Natural History and the nearby Peasant's Museum which may give you more background for the things you've already seen at the open air Village Museum. - The Cișmigiu Gardens, comparatively small as a park, but perhaps cozier for it. If I remember correctly it's the oldest park in Bucharest. - those big fountains in Piata Unirii are much cooler to see in the weekend at night. I could probably come up with more stuff, but this should suffice for now :)

Hello! I recommend you visit Oradea. It s probabily the city with the most beautiful buildings, even though it is quite small. If you want to come I would be more than happy to give you a free tour!
While you visit Romania, if you plan to eat out make sure you search for daily menus, rather than going to random restaurants that will overprice food. It can be the difference from spend 5 euro to spending 40 euro for same food. (just look for restaurants that got listed "Meniul Zilei" on a board at the entrace which should be around 25 lei on average) - Just a tip so you won't end up being overcharged like Food X Bert was. Other than that, what I would suggest is to avoid most of the public transportation, especially trains and buses that go from one city to another. Hope you enjoy your time in our country. I am guessing that your local guide already explained those things, but just in case anyone else plans to visit in the future, take those things into account.
In Sibiu you can have veal mici if you're up for it. A breakfast serving of veal mici, muştar (of course, mustard), some pâine (bread) and a bere (beer) for 30 lei. How's that for breakfast, eh? 🙂🙂👍👍🤘🤘

Hello guys you are amezing !! love you guys!!!!
In Sibiu you can have veal mici if you're up for it. A breakfast serving of veal mici, muştar (of course, mustard), some pâine (bread) and a bere (beer) for 30 lei. How's that for breakfast, eh? 🙂🙂👍👍🤘🤘
sounds great!! Now I’m hungry…
@@JetLagWarriors Hehehe... good on you. And to be honest... I could do with something to nibble on too... some Mici perhaps? 😄😄🍺🍺🇸🇪🇷🇴🇸🇪🇷🇴
The way you enjoy the Mici or Mititei is the proper one . Meat , mustard & pickles with bread and beer. Best choice 👍

You guys should visit Sighisoara,it's a big city with an old fortress,it's been left mostly untouched with most of the original buildings, lots of restaurants with pretty good romanian food and you could perhaps even visit, eat or sleep in the house Vlad Tepes(the romanian ruler Dracula was made off of basically) was born!
What other Romanian street food should we try?❤️🇹🇩
Shaorma. There is a place called "Shaormeria Baneasa". You should try it. Add the garlic and curry sauce and you won't regret it. It's the best one in town
