- I was learning game development for 4 years. In that time, I was studying in university and learned Java Core, C#, C++ and Python. After that I came across Unreal Engine 4 (ue4). Now I want to share my progress!

Really good video and editing for a starting channel, good job!!
Thank you sir!
how do u have 0 likes
greymench studio it says I have 54
this reminds me of the long list of old UE4 projects I still have
Love the videos and the process you go through with each one. Such a chill and good personality as well with a sense of humor 👍🏼. Keep up the good work man, your channel will grow along with your experience. I can't wait to see what other games you make in the future :)
When can I cover it on my channel?
NOW
Oh lol, hi Sergui! I LOVE UR TABS VIDS lol.
This gives me a lot of excitement and motivation. I also want to make my own game, who knows? Maybe someday the one who's reading this is playing my game.
Wish you good luck!
@@FatDino REEEEEEEEE thank you! You too!
It's been 1 year, have you made anything yet?
@@FirstLast-gk6lg I think the lack of response is bad news :(
It's been 2 years, have you made anything yet?
*When i see your games* : OH thats cool man

I think the next video you will have 7k subs
I hope that .
haha, I really hope I will make another video sooner than hit 7k subs
@@FatDino THE STORY OF MY LIFE
You should use bolt if you use unity, its really easy
I always watch this guys' vid. Totally humble when he makes his own version of games. Hope he doesn't change.
P.s. secretly i just wanna listen to his voice lol
lol
@Fat dino your voice is just so soothing i feel stisfyed when i hear your voice
Hey man just found your channel. I love these kinds of videos too. I was looking at your videos and i was so sad that there werent as much videos as i hoped there were. Really great stuff i hope you continue your passion and continue to do game dev videos : )
great progression! i hope to be as talented as you! cant wait to see where youll be after your masters!
thank you for making this video, it's actually super inspiring for me. i've wanted to make games for a long time but i simply lack the programming knowledge and lacked the time due to high school. every game design youtuber i've seen so far had a story that went "i started programming super young in middle school and now im a champ at game making", and it made me think, "because i dont know how to do this now/because i started too late, obviously im not made for it". but now ive graduated high school and am going to start compsci at an university, and hope to use the knowledge i'll gain to start actually doing stuff. hearing that your journey started very similarly really made me feel relieved and cheered me up!
ive attempted several times to start making games on my own or gain the knowledge myself, however there were a lot of things happening that simply didnt allow me to properly dedicate myself to it. now that ill be pursuing an education thats really tied to game making, hopefully ill get past that "mental block" easier.
You are a great channel, nice job!
I will definitely keep watching your videos
Thank you, glad you're enjoying!
Salute...! Love your works man..!
You've come so far on your journey, well done Dino!
Thank you man
watching this made me see how far technology has come, ive only gotten into the game making business a few weeks ago, but some insanely cheap courses on unity c# and visual scripting really helped me avoid a lot of your struggles
I'm also studying game development with all of the aspects of it: sculpturing, game engines, programming. Glad to see a fellow enthusiast! Hope someday we'll all become kojimas :D
Very awesome, goodluck with that masters! Hope you'll add new things you learn to the RTS Toolkit at some point.
I've subbed, so i can tell everyone that i seen a rising game developer from almost the start . Keep up your work dude, great going!!🙂😀
And also subbed so that u won't eat me
Thanks man! You're an inspiration to me
Hey mate. Congratulations on the journey!
Hahahah, didn't we all start with our second game. And think we could make the next massive thing?
abandoned projects piling up...
Mark my words, I will make the next big thing, haha! In about 8 years or so
True!!!
My only project was a moving box and hit boxes lol
@@kunai9809 same bro , also you got my support , you got this!!!

Wish you all the best man!
Just found out about you and youre awesome!! Keep it up man :)
Keep up The good Work man
Thank you for making this video. Now I'm pretty sure I want to learn also about computer sciences.
Your videos are great!
I enjoy your video, it wasn't boring at all. Keep it up 👍
Keep up the good work man, you got awesome content and now because of ur video I miss trying to do small games, guess I'll try it again and again until I finish at least a full project.
Thank you sir! You should definitely try it again if that's what you want!
@@FatDino 1 more thing, you think UE is easier than Unity? I use Unity atm and i don't know witch one is better
@@azaYT Unity is easier for me since it uses c# instead of c++ (with a lot of ue-special macros). Unity doesn't have such powerful visual scripting though
@@FatDino Ok then I guess I'll continue with Unity for the moment and explore more when I get more experience, thanks a lot man. can't wait for the next video :)
It's cool that you present the process. It gives us hope! I was stunned by your version of Among Us on steroids. Keep up the good work!
Keep it up, friend and good luck!
Thank you
Your awesome! Very talented! Good job man keep going on and believe in your dreams. So far i see you'll make a very good game oneday!
Thank you!
This was great! i subscribed to your Europe channel :)
Good luck and I'm Waiting for your devlogs
Thank you!
btw, I'm thinking about devlogs, but I'm not sure that it will be interesting enough. Guess I should make a poll for my viewers
Bless u bro. In the next four years ur gonna learn even more and finally make ur dream come true.
I'm in highschool and I wanna be a game dev...
You inspire me!!
Such an amazing journey sir
When you make your first game in future then make sure to make it free ao that I can play it :)
Hey man, your video really insipred me. I have one year exp with Unity and C#, but now I study unreal via c++.
That's really nice! I glad to hear that I can inspire someone!
Damn! You're really good in this. Keep up going to your dream 🌚
Thank you!
Cool video thanks for sharing.
Awesome. You know enough to make a great game!
This is insane :D Nice Journey.
Also cool idea for a game, do you think you will ever revamp that Draw My Way game in Unreal... Also IDK if this was intentional or if I missed you say it but your tools for placing paths look like pokeballs.
Mine is a bit of a mess 😂😂
7 years ago, I learned Python in High School, It interested me, but it also bored me, I played so much video games back then too, I loved how a virtual world existed and I wanted to be apart of it, making ideas alive. I thought it would be boring so by 2014-2015, I started Modding Minecraft in Java as I wanted to start small and evolve from there. Found Modding itself boring due to limitations. So by 2015, I researched about game development, its pathways to getting there etc. And tried Unity and UE4 in 2015... 2015 I also tried Modelling, Animating... Everything, by the end I came to a decision that I wanted to be a Programmer using the Unreal Engine. I still love to use it. I now program in a lot more other languages... IDK how my brain stores a lot of this..... and do lots of other projects, not just video games or MC Modding, but also Discord Bots and Websites.
Thank you! Yeah, that was a pokeball, I used it as a placeholder :)
Every "becoming a dev" story has its own charm!
@@FatDino Nice and yeah... it is really interesting to see how people started... and I always think if my path to becoming a game dev programmer changed, I wonder what the cause and effect would be.
You are so chill
Hey nice vid. Thanks youtube algorithm for recommending me another inspiration for programming and game development. Question, my G, how much time should I really spend on programming to understand it better? And same for game development providing that I got better at programming??
Bro ur grinding faaaast, yesterday you was at 104k now you are at 111k
You deserve more than 1M subscribers. I'll tell my friends to subscribe to you 😀
Love your content Dino, truly an inspiration. I, likewise started with a Magic Battle Royale shortly after Fortnite came out and not far into it realized that this was a big mistake - HOWEVER, the amount that I learned about multiplayer during that first 5 months was worth the mistake 😂 Great videos man, keep it up!
I am only like a minute in but that game draw the way sounds like a really good idea it’s just there should be a cap on how many plate forms the player can create making some sort of challenge. But you probably already thought of that lol I gotta get back to studying I’ll watch more later.
Yay! New vid!!
This remembers me when I made a game in greenfoot in high school for programming classes. It was the final assignment for that class. It was a 2D game where an ober had to serve customers within a certain time limit. I had played something similiar when I was younger, but couldn't find it anymor. So I decided to make something to relive some childhood memories. It was pretty well done if I say so myself, movement worked well, people came in and left, people asked for different foods. It was playable, so I past the class. Now I'm studying Electrical Engineering and havent made a game again. Maybe I try again in the future
papas pizzeria?
@@omen4s976 it's a similiar concept. But the game I remember was really about delivering the food, not making it
Support ! Good contents
Great content
Amazing content man, it's really cool to see how far you have come. I was wondering, what about and RTS game based on Warhammer 40k, like Dawn of War, big battles but on unreal engine. I am a huge fan of the Ultimate Apocalypse mod for Dawn of War Soulstorm, but the game endgine is so old it can't handle the massive battles :( How difficult would a project like that be? Thanks so much!
RTS is extremely difficult to make, there are lot of complicated algorithms and other stuff involved. You could check out upcoming "Edge of Chaos" rts, it's also made with unreal engine (not by me of course :D)
Okay👍 this guy is gonna be my idol❤️ I love it I started working with unity from last week and I am a student of class 7 and 1 day i will complete my dream game ❤️
OMG I NEVER NOTICED HE MADE A NEW VIDEO. FINALLY XD
i subscribed you.i am just 16 year old but i'd like to learn how to make game.i want to make my own game.when i see you video, its like i want to be a game development.thanks brother
Salut !
Yea i decided to do make my own game too, i start education on University this year. 3.week now. Its desing and animation school. İ have no idea how it will be but i hope i can get process soon as you did. Youre inspiring me now. I will watch all of your vids
I wanna learn these too once I'm done with high-school. Do I need to be good at math to code? I suck at math, like I suck suck
@@rogerdodgerxd I did not see any math yet, we start to use maya, unreal engine, illustrator, premier, after effects and z brush. No math at all.
You not only will one day achieve iir dream bit will inspire an help many others achieve theres
Wise Philosopher once said
"If the code works, don't change it
My instruction manual once stated "if the code works, add tests until there is no tomorrow"
i want to make my own dream game but don't know how i just watch your videos and enjoy myself ❤️
ur an inspiration man
just subscribed bro ur vids are interesting af
Thank you sir!
I'm curious why you refer to Java as Java Core, are you implying the runtimes your programs used didn't include non-core frameworks? I've never heard of Java referred to as Java Core.
i believe in you brother
Making games looks fun. I wana try
Feels like you have 200 + years of collective game Design Experience
Really cool
Im at the same situation. How and from where can I learn so that I get a good foundation in game development?
So good video
Well I'm about to start my degree, I guess I'm literally on the same path with same mindset
Make more videos like WoW in UE4, Chrome Dino in UE4 and Minecraft in UE4, they're hilariously awesome!
I will, I like them too! That type of videos are really time consuming though, and I have exams in my uni right now, so I decided to make something less time consuming since I haven't uploaded videos in the past months
Such an inspiration
This what 4 years of game development can do! I can't imagine what 8 or 9 years can do!
This guy needs more subs
Dino: So, I've chosen Unreal Engine...
Me: You have chosen wisely.
What's wrong with Unity? :(
Before choosing engine you should also check the license costs if you are planning to make a commercial game in the future. I believe that on Unreal if your yearly revenue exceeds $1,000,000 you have to pay 5% of the income to Epic. On Unity if your yearly income is over $200,000 you have to purchase Pro edition which costs $1,800 per year. Someone correct if I'm wrong. There are also couple different versions of Unity available.

Your dream will become a reality for sure!
yeah i just got my bachelors in computer science. i also learned unreal engine has their own bit of C++ syntax you'll have to study. one bit of advice though to new programmers. yes you'll learn the BASICS of all languages in college, BUT you'll most likely choose one language to really tune into and master. pc languages are so different it's almost impossible to learn all languages and remember 100% of everything. usually programmers have a google tab open as well. just like this guy said, he graduated, but still couldn't even make a game. it's because college teaches you basics, it's up to you to go online and master them yourself. even getting a job as an entry level. you'll be with experts who will train you as if you barely know the language itself.
i just graduated with my B.A last month in computer science and i share the same dream. do you mostly use blueprint to code or do you use c++ in ue4?
You can use either

Thanks mon!
Same thing I now started doing in few months 😃.
May you succeed
I too wanted to make games but the whole programming and math thing got in the way.
Lol
God i hate maths
Old on, your dream is true!!
The last game looks like Glest :D
0:03 ow nice😍😍
Damn this make me want to continue my dream of building my own game. Im currently a 3rd yrear computer engineering technology student. I know bits of prog language like c prog and java. Im thinking of starting my journey as a self taught game dev. Any tips?
bro i wanna make an RTS using Unreal 4. but i have been a competitive player, was ranked #11 in WoW 2015. currently im top 50 in the RTS games im playing and i've competed for many prize money competititions but i am a gamer not a coder idk anythign about this. would u suggest i do it myself or i partner up ?? I have the very clear vision of the kind of game im trying to make
Can anyone tell which is the best plaform to learn game development for unreal engine ? . Becoz its really hard to learn in youtube as no one is explaining why the thing is working 🤷.
you will make an awesome game.
OH SO U MADE REVERSI
