Every time I replay the game, I tell myself I need to get Aerith or Tifa since it's been so long since I've seen those scenes. But I can't help myself, when given the choices, I always end up going with Yuffie, that scene makes me laugh everytime.
A big tip is if you wanna make sure no one else gets any points make sure to choose a character such as Red XII, Cait sith anyone besides the people who can go on a date, and of course make sure to put the person you want for the date in your party.
7:14 You can repeat this dialogue as many times as you want, getting +1 or -1 every time. Easy way to make sure you get or don’t get Tifa, depending on your desired date.

"It actually doesn't affect this. Here is a post from 10 years ago that sums it up good. There are other parts of the game like that as well, such as 'battle affection points' which are in the game but not implemented in any way. Yuffie reacts positively to you taking the 10 phoenix downs, for instance. But it doesn't affect her affection rating what-so-ever. So in other words, always take them. There's no reason not to except for role-playing purposes."
5:25 When Aerith is chosen, the score's actually +3 for "We got to help Aerith" and -2 for "Are you all right?" 7:50 The bike minigame and the fight against Motor Ball has no effect regardless of who you choose. It's only when you leave Midgar that you get the points depending on who you leave. 8:02 You can actually ignore the Kalm girls all the way up until the point where you give Sephiroth the Black Materia. Optimize your routing, and you can actually create a Save File that'll allow you to choose whoever you want to be your date by using 'em. 9:42 Yuffie's score will cap off at 30 performing the Yuffie Recruitment trick, so you really don't need to go through all that effort to lose gil to her. Answer wrong in the third and fourth questions, and she won't steal any gil from you.
One more thing worth noting. When first visiting the Gold Saucer, only the first person you talk to will go either +3 if invited or -2 if not. Everyone else will get nothing.
Does it matter with these dialogue options with Barret wants to bust in shinra building or Tifa want to take the stairs. Any of these options benefits one or the other?

The one thing that has always bothered Me was how the 1/35 Soldier is useless I know I have aquired a few extra at the RollerCoaster in Gold Saucer, besides the ones found. (i've never had more than nine of them) Has anyone ever accumulated more than 12 ? I know there is a Cait Sith attack that has small Soldiers in it. (cannot remember the name of that Attack) Was in my 20's when this game was released in 1997. considering the time I've played this game in 25 years. I can comfortably say I've probably in those 25 years played about a year+ in time as I remember many 12/16 hour sessions of FF7 enjoyment. You forgot the birds nest. Depending who you have in party, if you do not take the treasure points are given.

I want to say that the yuffie date is more difficult to do in my opinion, but most everyone says bromance is harder.
