- So I finally got around to deleting my catalytic converters. Let me know what you all think of the exhaust.

if you find a need to fool after cat o2s use a large spark plug anti-fouler and drill a 1/2in hole almost through it from the inside so the bulb on the o2 fits inside this takes the o2 out of direct exhaust flow making it less sensitive to set a p0420 code
I like your taste in music. Advice from a fabricator........wear gloves and long sleeves while welding. To make your welds look better, turn up your wire speed (amps) Try slowing down your drag speed too.

Dude awesome huge fan i also own an E36 i love beemers i live in Australia i get a lot of hate for driving my E36 but man people now days specifically non mechanically informed ricers who don't understand the first thing about German ingenuity or cars in general my e36 is black lowered and i have black and chrome rims and and a tiny amount of stance
Just did this setup, I had 2 1/2 straight pipe for almost a month, and it was hell, so I added a glass pack and sounds pretty good!

So, why removing the cats would introduce more noise to the system? I am planning to delete on the cats, and my system is all stock. Would I have a graspy sound as well?
removing the cat will make it a lot louder even with the muffler still on.

Hey I came back to watch this video again because Im getting ready to install my headers, cat & resonator delete straight piped into 2 glass packs and turned down just before the rear axle until I can afford my x pipe (then its x pipe and borla muffler). Anyway I was coming back to check the sound, holy $hit my temporary set up is going to be loud!

I'm gonna try this too, i got a full straight pipe but its a bit too thin and raspy... Thinking if maybe just an oem rear muffler should make it a bit thicker...

Probably already got rid of them but I would've welded the stock resonators where the stock muffler used to be, tone up the sound a bit more.

You can't really tell by the sound of a youtube vid, but I think It sounds great. Didn't expect those glasspacks to be that good. But I heard, the further you install mufflers from the engine, the better. Isn't it true?

You're right and I'm not quite sure as to the placement having an effect. I just placed them there to delete the cats, I'm actually going to add the stock resonators further back soon.
