+Mannylito I guess he didn't notice the "Unless" part, in World of Nintendo's video, he did a NES action set unboxing and it had the same "Danger Do Not Open.....Unless" booklet.
When he slid the NES box across the screen it brought back some memories. I forget what year it was I was around five I assume, and when I first saw that NES box at my home I was really excited! My first videogame console ever. I will always have a fondness for the old NES.
The NES my brother and I got for Christmas back in the day was an Action Set, except with the original gray Zapper. I still remember getting it opened and playing Super Mario Bros. for the first time.
sure brings back memories. i got my first NES Christmas of 88 i think.. i got th power pad bundle.. super mario/duck hunt track and field and i got the gray gun not the newer orange one.. so many good memories. i just bought a wii U last week just for super mario maker.. iv not had a Nintendo for 20 years. its safe to say i have a lot of catching up to do.. i think i bought the wii u at the right time.. even tho its on its way out, the games are cheap.. and im a sucker for games on rails shooters.. so yeah i have lots of fun to be had. r.i.p mr. iwata. rock on.
Chris c That seems like a normal year for most of us. I got my that same time as well. I was what 12 or 11 at the time. The unboxing he did hear. I remember the smell and me pulling out the system no lie. Nostalgic. Wish I could go back and relived that. Watching the video made me feel good.
Nothing more gratifying in life than opening the box of a new gaming system for the first time. The smell of fresh plastics, mmmm. So many great memories.
As a kid, this made me the envy of my apartment building . . . before everybody else bought their own consoles . . . with more games . . . and Game Boy.
test how good the after sales service really is there in great mood Wii u is selling 50 thousand units in Japan and still going strong. I used work for them they are nice people.
We got our NES 20 years ago and I remember the day that my brother and I opened it up as well. It was awesome. I still remember playing Metroid and Zelda early in the mornings before getting on the bus for school. Sadly, I don't have my original, but I still have and NES which I've refurbished with a new 72-pin connector and disabled 10NES. Works like it's brand new and is in great shape.
I still have a practically new Action Set in the box, I think mine might even still have a gray Zapper. I picked it up off some guy who never opened it for a few bucks back in the day. Since it's not my primary NES, and still looks and works like new I use it very sparingly. I love talking it out every once in a while, it's like being back in the 80's again. =)
"It smells good too. Do you smell that?" - I wish I could :( This brought me back. I had the exact same thing. I remember opening it and looking at everything just the same you did back at my dad's place. I had the poster tacked on my bedroom wall! I remember the zapper manual and the "Danger! Don't open!" advertisement thing... it was for Nintendo Power Magazine, wasn't it? Heh, I miss the old days of being a kid :(
I'm 12 and I play this at my grandma's house, cuz my dad use to have it when he was a kid. He actually has two. One's in perfect condition, but doesn't work, and the others scratched up a little, but works perfectly everytime! no issue with it ever his whole life.
That's the exact box set I got for Christmas back in 90 or 91 it was in its final lifespan before the release of SNES I'm sure mom got this for $99.99 or $150 with stacks of games I'm sure she got them at the bargain bin at the time and I had a blast awesome collection of NES Games and just pure greatness for gaming at the time great times would love to have that console complete in box someday...
I remember getting this setup for christmas 1990 or maybe 91. As I recall it after using it a while it used to have trouble reading the carts at times. Still remember blowing the tips, using my tooth container to wedge the side just right, and just plain shoving a spring clothespin on the top to keep it down from springing up. Even though it was a pain in the ass I would change a thing. Too many great memories and fun times.
I have had the most amazing unboxing for an NES, bags, original promotional stuff, it was just great. Mine was a Control Deck set, no games or accessories.
I never had a NES, but I remember when I opened my SNES, the first console I ever had. I loove unboxings, especially when it comes to consoles. I recently bought a PS3, and even when they don't come with as much stuff as they used to, the smell of the box on the inside brought me such good memories (yeah, i like to smell boxes)
I love unboxing stuff like that. Half the fun is seeing all the little inserts they put in there and the pictures on the box and stuff like that. It's too bad they cost a small fortune in the box.
That system was so clean and new looking i picture it having been bought by a older couple who purchased it for when their grandkids would come over on occasion-then after everytime it was used it probably was neatly packed away. Kind of like the 1998 Buick with only 30,000 miles that was only driven by a little old lady to the grocery store and church on Sundays.
I'll never forget when I got my NES. Hard to believe it was almost years ago. We got it for Christmas 1988. But my parents thought it would be funny to hide it separate from the other presents, then pretend like we didn't get one. My brother almost cried. Now, as an adult, I get that you can't always get your kids what they want and that sometimes, they will be disappointed. But to take that and use it for your own amusement...
wow! it still smells brand new. at 1:35 you see the previous owner was in a rush to get it open, but looking away from that, it still has that "new nes" smell. congrats with an enhanced gaming experience without the fear of parts failing. take good care of it!
i found a boxed nes action set in my basement,it was my moms when she was younger. i hooked it up and it works great i may start collecting so games for this system
Nice the freaking Action Set! So many fond memories. I didn't even get a NES until later in its life, but I remember seeing these in the stores and anyone carrying one in a store was a happy camper! I did go over to a friend's house though in the late 80's/early 90's and play and watch him play his all the time.
Man the memories of Christmas when me and my sister ( Rest Easy ) ripped the double wrapping off the box and opening game after game after game. True gamers know the struggle no memory cards no saves short remote cords lol
From 1990 to 1999 we went from nes to snes/genesis to n64/psx to dreamcast in just 9 years. It's almost 2013, and that means 13 years since PS2 release. Nes sales were closer to the Ps2 than we are now. Bill and Ted> Woaaah! Most my younger life seemed longer than that. lol. Although the 90s are kinda dorky looking back, MAN they were some awesome times for gamers! I keep those times with me when I play old games.
i got mine unboxerd with 23 games (all with the black nintendo sleeves) , 2 controllers, orange light gun, and all the wires, all for around $25 and it still works perfectly!
Unboxing a old system is like having your childhood back....... I mean: WOW..... My old SNES, which I got on my 9th birthday "died" a few days ago.... and I´m looking to get a "new" one in a box.... I want to unbox it, again..... its so awesome to unbox systems!
I love the boxes consoles come in. I use them for decoration. It's interesting how a lot of advertising is put on the NES box, whereas the box that came with my Wii just has a picture of the console on one side, and some screenshots of the game included with it on the other. I kind of wish it had more advertising like the NES Action Set box.
That is the first run with the orange gun...if I'm not mistaken. My Nes had the gray gun as it was a launch machine. I do remember when those orange Nes guns hit the market...I had my Genesis at the time... Excellent video my friend!
I got a nes power pad set that still works and got a nes four score for 4 player action, also kept my snes, GameCube, Atari 2600, n64 & ps1 & wii...PRICELESS!!!!
This was the very set that I received for the 1990 Christmas. I only know this based on what we had with it, as our parents hooked it up to the TV after we had gone to bed.
I bought a Super Nintendo which came in a Super Mario All Stars edition box a year ago, and it was just awesome feeling to open an old console which still had the manuals and everything with it
i recently got a virtual boy in box for $250. the guy played it once or twice with his brother and then busy with other things, found it while cleaning out his closet, and put it on craigslist. He didn't throw out a single thing that came in the box and its practically mint condition.
I still remember when I got my first NES console, I was 8 years old at the time, the year was 1990 and I got 3 games, ice climber, top gun and super mario bros. :)
this takes me back to 1987 when i got this i was so excited i started crying i was on ly 10 then i had a friend who had nintendo or intendo as i called it and i went over to his house to play
i'm about to purchase an original action set NES for $90! comes with everything too! all in a flawless box with: the console, 2 controllers, zapper, mario bros/ duck hunt, and of course all the cables. ahh! i'm so excited! LONG LIVE NES!
"Do Not Open!"
"............okay"
*throws pamphlet to the side"
XD
Muh sides ;D
+Mannylito I guess he didn't notice the "Unless" part, in World of Nintendo's video, he did a NES action set unboxing and it had the same "Danger Do Not Open.....Unless" booklet.
Love the 90's graphics and style and text in that promotional thing at about 4:50.
There's nothing like unboxing a revolutionary console such as the NES! Man, that brings back memories! Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
Found this gem lying on a corner in a recycling fair with everything in the box. BEST. FEELING. EVER.
Aaah the memories of opening my Nes in 1986. I know this is 11+ years old but I would love to see a Master System unboxing at some point.
When he slid the NES box across the screen it brought back some memories. I forget what year it was I was around five I assume, and when I first saw that NES box at my home I was really excited! My first videogame console ever. I will always have a fondness for the old NES.

Where can I get set like yours??? I want to do an unboxing. Got any advice please!!!!!!
Pyro Guy on ebay or auction sites
Finally found this video after remembering that distinct introduction for a few years now, good to see it again.
Damn. 1990 was a good time.
I was hit with a wave of Nostalgia as you opened that box and slid out the system.
I like the music used in the video
Man I love Mark's sarcasm and sense of humor
80's game consoles are THE BEST!!!!!
"Danger, do not open? OK" LOL I love that poster, I used to have it pinned up in my room back in the day!!
sure brings back memories. i got my first NES Christmas of 88 i think.. i got th power pad bundle.. super mario/duck hunt track and field and i got the gray gun not the newer orange one.. so many good memories. i just bought a wii U last week just for super mario maker.. iv not had a Nintendo for 20 years. its safe to say i have a lot of catching up to do.. i think i bought the wii u at the right time.. even tho its on its way out, the games are cheap.. and im a sucker for games on rails shooters.. so yeah i have lots of fun to be had. r.i.p mr. iwata. rock on.

I just bought one for $80 it was an action set and came with an extra game!
Fucking lucky Americans...
I'm stuck here with my complete Master System Model II I got for $66...
I just recently bought one for $80 as well and it had SMB 1,2 & 3 the 3 Main games I missed playing as a kid lol
As a kid, this made me the envy of my apartment building . . . before everybody else bought their own consoles . . . with more games . . . and Game Boy.
brigs tears to my eyes!!
I got this same one, except the Power Pad version when I was 5. Best Christmas gift ever. Nothing will ever top it.
test how good the after sales service really is there in great mood Wii u is selling 50 thousand units in Japan and still going strong. I used work for them they are nice people.
Someone kept that in great shape. Kudos to them and great find for you.
Mine had a grey zapper.
There is two versions
I was like 9 when i first watched this 20 now thank you so much for these videos really gave me info on the old consoles growing uo
RIP Mr Iwata. If shigirua miyamoto dies then nintendo will be gone
+Blake Childress We must not speak of the inevitable dark times.
Shigirua Miyamoto... yeah, I remember him from "The Lost Adventure of Woman Zelad"
Nintendo will be really gone when Reggie Fils-Aime and Bill Trinen dies
And if Shigeru Miyamoto dies, we won't see him at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville or the International Bluegrass Music Museum in Owensboro!
If Miyamoto dies, Phil Spencer will conquered all.
25 years old, and I STILL remember opening my first NES when I was 6. Ah, the memories.
im going to my local game retro store..i got like 90 bucks to blow today..and its my friday!!!
I would like to watch the video, but the damn buffering keeps kicking my ass!
Man I miss the styrofoam from 80's toys
"It smells good too. Do you smell that?" - I wish I could :( This brought me back. I had the exact same thing. It is a sad day when any game console dies? Oh Mark, I am sure you can not say that on a day a Game.com dies. :3
or wii u, or virtual boy
Tuber Da King virtual boy,no, Wii U ,yes
It has a lot of good games,it just sold bad
I guess ur right
I love it when people keep the original boxes. Very smart people.
“ Now my game has a real bite”
I'm 12 and I play this at my grandma's house, cuz my dad use to have it when he was a kid. He actually has two. One's in perfect condition, but doesn't work, and the others scratched up a little, but works perfectly everytime! no issue with it ever his whole life.

i love how systems where packaged back then better then todays packaging
I remember getting this setup for christmas 1990 or maybe 91. As I recall it after using it a while it used to have trouble reading the carts at times. I wish i remembered opening my first Nintendo back in 1987.....i was four....it was a glorious day indeed.
Got this for Christmas in 1990. What a great moment. Got Rad Racer, Infiltrator, RC-Pro Am and I think To the Earth...a zapper game along with it.
Also, this is my favorite gift as a kid. MANY games and hours on this console!
Now I'm going to go rebox mine so I can recall the joy i had when I first open the NES.
Yes I still have the box and packaging.

I got a boxed Master System. Totally awsome, even included the plastic wrapper on the manual.
wow! it still smells brand new.
at 1:35 you see the previous owner was in a rush to get it open, but looking away from that, it still has that "new nes" smell.
congrats with an enhanced gaming experience without the fear of parts failing. take good care of it!
Bought this set for 5 bucks at a junkyard sale. Didn't came with the box but worked just fine. Still play at it every week.
I remember opening my Dreamcast. Ten years old and still works great! I have had to replace the shell though due to yellowing.
i found a boxed nes action set in my basement,it was my moms when she was younger. i hooked it up and it works great i may start collecting so games for this system

I did go over to a friend's house though in the late 80's/early 90's and play and watch him play his all the time.
Just picked one up off ebay, Complete in box with blank warranty papers, poster, original bag the console is in, all mint.
Man the memories of Christmas when me and my sister ( Rest Easy ) ripped the double wrapping off the box and opening game after game after game. True gamers know the struggle no memory cards no saves short remote cords lol
I do remember that smell, and I do kinda smell it! RIP to your old NES, mine still works
