You provided some great info here! However, I read somewhere Lincoln advises NOT to use anti-seize on spark plugs (I put a small amount on my plugs too!). Also, when I install the plugs, I use a socket with a sponge thing on the top (a spark plug socket) and a long extension. This works best for me.... Thanks again!

Great video. I have a '91 Town Car with the same engine. It has only 34k original miles and not driven much over the last few years. I sometimes have a low idle issue after it warms up a bit and it will sometimes stall, but starts right back up. I thought about changing the spark plugs, but I thought maybe with them only having 34k miles, they would be ok, but they are nearly 30 years old. It also does not have the smoothest idle. Thoughts? Thanks!

I have a 1994 Lincoln Towncar and when I first start driving it's ok till the motor get warmed up then it cuts off at ever stop sign. But cranks right back up. What could the problem be?
Hello this is very good video I'm trying to do a diagnostic on my 93 Lincoln Town Car when I plug the scan tool up to it it gives no information whatsoever I have a check engine light on oil light on and battery light and the car will not start

I have a 1990 Lincoln Towncar and my car has similar problems except when I turn AC. on it shuts off unless I give it acceleration..car runs great on freeway goes up to 85 no problem But when im on surface streets and come to stop it shuts off..but it will start rite back up..and idle fluctuates up and down..ive taking it to 3 different mechanics amd no one has been able to fix it...No engine light is on..PLZ HELP
What cause a 1995 Lincoln Town Car to run like not getting fuel. Have replace fuel pump and fuel filter. Had it towed home. Car started as evening unload off rollback. Have any suggestions on this problem.

This is a very good video I have this exact year car one day on the highway driving it started backfiring it's slow down and. It's got a loud air sound when you under the hood and it hasn't been straight since I don't know what's wrong with it it sounds like there's some kind of leak of air or something?
MORNING GARDENER'S SHOW. If you hear the sound of air being pulled into the intake when you press the throttle then it may have a leak somewhere in the intake wich can make the air that is drawn in from outside of the intake give the sensor a faulty reading that will cause massive loss of power due to incorrect fuel to air mixture, I would start by making sure the filter is clean as well as seated right so it seals and all the clips are done up, and also check the gasket on the plastic cover for the air filter where it bolts to the part that holds the sensor. I had the same issue with mine for a couple weeks turns out there was no gasket so it was pulling in air from the engine bay
Is 2 and 4 on the passenger side on the coil pack ?
It needs white walls. That will fix one of the problems.
Hey man my name is daryl i just got my great aunts 94 town car executive edition i have a few questions about it umm. So first its been sitting in a garage for like 2 almost 3years not cranked or anything. Before she parked it she had all the fluids changed spark plugs and a battery. It crank and ran perfectly when it was parked ( they let it run untill it ran out of gas). Now that i got it it will crank but wont start or run. I took the breather off and sprayed starting fluid down its throat and it started right up but didnt run ( i did put 2 gallons of gas in it). So i think its the fuel pump and filter…what do u think?
Also, about the tires, they were brand new when it was parked. When i towed it they still had wind in them but all were low. I aired them up about two weeks ago and the still holding the air. Do u think they r ok to dive on?
Also, it has 72k miles and was grandma owened

Did this do the job? I have a 1995 Lincoln Town Car it starts when it wants to so I assume it has something to do with a spark. I was told to change the coil packs but once I did that it no longer starts at all. But the coil packs are used so I'm thinking I should just do everything you did and hopefully that gets the job done.
Never go with used electronic parts.

If I replace the intake manifold do I have to take off the throttle body? I have 1994 Lincoln town car

The 4.6L suffers from popcorn plugs. Some suggest 20 ft/lbs fir torque spec. to prevent popcorn plug
