Happy to be the man who sent you the email. Can’t believe you came out to Sheboygan and got er goin ! Can’t wait for the next video. My buddy who you bought it from said you guys were the nicest people. Love it !
Starting my mechanics qualifications next year, would not be here without this channel. I've always loved mechanics but this channel is what gave me the certainty it's what I wanna do. Keep on being awesome idols
I never understood carb rebuilds on cars untill I watched your videos, you taught me a lot about carb rebuilding! That’s why I went out the other day and got me a 59 ford fairline from market place! Got her running today, thanks keep up the good videos!
I did the same years ago. I didn't care what it was, I set out to find any 30s, 40s, 50s car what was complete to learn mechanics on. Ended up with a Plymouth Cranbrook that was parked away when its original owner died and just left to rot in a cow shed since the JFK era. Was able to follow repair manuals and youtube videos while having absolutely zero expeirience working on a car (but knew most of what everything was). Got the car inspected and running and driving. Took me about 3 months because I was learning as I went, and of course doing something wrong then having to re-do it again dozens of times. The engine block and cylinders were all in great shape and no problems, so it was safe to do a running restoration on it without doing a full teardown. The hardest thing was getting the cow odor out of the interior, lol it took sooooo long to get that clean. I can;t say I'd have the same success with a modern car with all the computer mumbo jumbo, but I at least have the confidence to try :)
Sweet ride. My Mom is 72, and I am looking a going to the bar on Sat/ Church on Sunday rig for her. She is a pretty strong old girl, so power steering isn't that important. But the AC is a must. She sweats a lot without it. Can't have her going to church with a hangover all sweaty. So if you get the AC working, I would be interested in buying this sweet ride.
It looks to be pretty well put together from the video. I think you two should bring it all the way back. Headliner, working AC, etc. The 35's look great on it. Picture it with Cadillac quality and a set of steer horns on the hood like "Boss Hogg's". I would go so far as using Cadillac hubcaps and cutting holes in the front ones for access to the hubs! Of course this is just my opinion.
I am always a fan of full restores. Then he can go out with Demoranch and Roman Atwood with the Cummins Cuda and the 4x4 mustang and have a real party lol.
I gotta say I recently took a job at a shop that does a lot of work on older vehicles and muscle cars and the like, and I'm so glad I've been binge watching your videos as I've learned a ton about carbs and mechanical tuning. You guys are legends
My favorite kind of video: a Cadillac. This is extra special since they really went the extra mile to wire everything up inside and make it pretty much OEM as possible. That’s awesome. I’m wondering if the audio issue was caused by how loud the car is 😂 the microphone tried to cope and just couldn’t lmao
I like the fender flares they made for the car too. They took time with this build and didn't just dump a car body onto a 4x4 frame. I would totally drive it and the 35s make it look even better.
The first time shttylac have had a 4x4. Funny. This here would be more funny with Toyota drive line: 4.6L 4-cam 4-valve 326 hp, and 4 disc brakes with ABS. My six cents folks
Ford 4x4 underpinnings with a Cadillac interior and turbine wheels. It is a horrible mutant but it is my kind of automotive blasphemy. The heater core is even hooked up. I would daily this.
Always a pleasure watching your videos, Kevin. And that's what I call American craftsmanship and ingenuity. You don't see anybody else putting a Cadillac on an off-road frame.
I wish I could have seen your videos when I got my grandpas old car you explain things so well. Makes me want to get it out of storage and get it running
The words Cadillac swapped Bronco are so delightful, also Sheboygan is only a stones throw from me, hope you enjoyed your stay in my neck of the woods!
That ether-on-the tire trick was probably the most violent one I've seen as the explosion literally sounded like a gunshot. Thanks for teaching me something I could use in the future when I have flat tires. Great Cadillac-Ford 4x4 btw!
Thank you very much for all your videos. I'm light years away from trying your kind of re-habs, but the way you present your issues and fixes is really cool. Keep doing what you do.
Hey I watch your vids every time you drop a new one and let me just say thanks for not mentioning politics, law or religion - Unlike most ‘tubers. I enjoy you plain talk and general interest in entertainment over preachiness, and your refreshing irreverence, keep it up mate!
G'day from Australia. Yet another awesome Junkyard Digs video. You and Mook are brilliant. Not only highly entertaining but amazingly knowledgeable and helpful with all things automotive.
I love you guys! You are the real life King of the Hill! Kevin and Mook are Hank and Peggy; Jesse is Bobby; your friend the cop is Boomhauer; the plump guy is Bill; and the dude with the glasses is Dale Gribble.. Rock on! You take me back to working on cars when I was a teen. I have heard Kevin say, "I'll tell you what!" Cheers!
I started watching as soon as i seen the notification. You and Mook are awesome and your videos always make my day. I can't wait for more shenanigans with this car
Love your videos .can you do more cross over videos with visegrip garage and Dylan Mccool .like the boat episode.I know how busy you guys and it’s hard to get together.
Binge watched 1 thru 3 last night when I should have been sleeping for work. You are so good at explaining the essentials and the fine tuning that I sent this to a mechanic buddy. Maybe fill er up with hi octane and see if the compression ratio ain't aboot 12 or 13? THAT beast motor was just waiting for someone like you.
That sucker sounds AWESOME for a first start after that amount of time! But, being the proud owner of a 460, I expect nothing less. All hail the big block…
Hey man, I’ve been watching your videos for a long time now and as a kid, I’ve always wanted to go in the car mechanic and watching your videos has taught me and has helped me to become a car mechanic
Next time, try running a long screw through the locking gas cap. The screw will lock the two parts together and it will just turn normally. As for the bustle back Seville, it was GM's second attempt at this style, the first being the 1978 Cutlass. Ford also got into this questionable styling trend with the Lincoln Continental and Chrysler didn't want to be left out with it's iteration, I believe it was the Imperial.
The engine sounds great! I remove the paper from a bread wrapper twist-tie and use the wire to clean chalk/gunk from carburetor jets. If you burn the paper off, quench it to harden the wire.
I really like the car I am looking forward to next week's video. That is one bad ass vehicle that would be so much fun to drive. I always know your videos are top quality but add in Junkyard Mook who adds her unique random corkiness. I always look forward to seeing Mook in the videos
So glad I found this channel, you guys are my People, Real Gear ⚙️ Heads , we all speak the same language, actually watched this video instead of getting ready to pick my girlfriend up from the train, I gotta get in the freaking shower ! She's gonna be Pissed! 😆 it's ok , this video was worth it! I used to drive around with my friend Anthony in the same caddy back in the early 90s, very comfortable! Total Guido car back in the mullet and mint days ( Unless you currently live in Canada 🇨🇦 ) but now I'm a offroader and this is a Classic Combination! I'm actually not hating this " Cruck " and I usually do, gotta see this thing offroad! Hell Yeah! Looking forward to watching more of your videos and keep up the good work, Much love from Long Island NY aka Hell!
As you started digging into it, it’s not as half-assed as I thought it would be. They bothered to add gauges and electric fans, the electricals of the Cadillac still work, and there are quite a few bolt on speed parts from back in the day on the old girl. I have seen waaaay sketchier attempts than this.
This is one of the first automotive videos ive watched all the way through without skipping and I love how genuine yours guys humor is. Unlike donut media I Swear they try too hard to be funny 🤣
Always a good day when these videos drop ! Half of the time I rewatch them over and over I really love the tow truck diesel videos considering I got a 7.3 powerstroke. I don’t have anyone around to teach me to work on anything so everything I know is from this channel, thanks JYD!
This is something I was considering doing with my parts car which was a 64 Wildcat 4Door hardtop like the drag car I run during the summer, but I ended up selling it. Definitely taking notes so when I can get another car to build like this one it will be simpler 😎👍👍
You gotta have Mook in all of your videos. her response to your conversations is priceless, for instance, "Some sixteen year old kid is behind the counter." Who else can think that fast. She adds so much humor. Not saying the video is not excellent with just you, but she just cracks me up. LMAO when the car JUMPED off the ground.
Thank you for another most excellent episode! I do not have a cel phone and sadly the Raycons would only be an expensive paper weight for me. Still, I appreciate them for sponsoring your efforts! I remember when GM released these eye sore Cadillacs. My dad and I were travelling to visit my Great Uncle and we saw quite a few of them on the freeways. Both of us thought that they were butt ugly looking with the abbreviated trunk. When we arrived at my Great Uncle's house he was all to eager to show us his new Cadillac.... Guess what model it was. I will admit that the ride in it was like a magic carpet sliding across a glass highway down the not so smooth California freeways... But still, the profile of it, that shrunk trunk.... Gawd aweful!
It's nice to watch a channel where the fellow knows his stuff and stays true to himself. Doesn't hurt that you, Mook and your friends are the best comedy crew in existence, either! I would make a suggestion: trailer that thing. Let it die on the dunes if it wants to - but not on the road where it might take someone with it.
I love that I randomly found this channel when the limo video was recommended to me. Now you've almost hit 1M subs... congratulations y'all - keep on rocking it out.
It is great to watch your videos as it seems several other channels are basically having other people come in to do most of the work. Your basic explanations are much more instructive also. Thanks for all the practical advice you dispense. Hope your corn crop is progressing well.

Great video. I’m stuck at home with the flu, so this was an entertaining video to help pass the time. Also makes me want to get a friend to help me fix my ‘89 dodge caravan. It’s been sitting for a couple years. I replaced the radiator and thermostat awhile ago. But it’s using coolant, and I don’t see any leaks. There isn’t any in the oil. Does that mean it’s a water pump?
@@sidni100 I thought that at first, but their isn’t any milky looking oil. Maybe I just never ran it long enough for that to happen? I’m not sure: that’s why I was thinking a bad water pump. But idk. I don’t want to put a ton of money into it because it was literally a $400 car I got years ago from my pastor, but it brings a big smile to my face and is the ultimate granny mobile. It’s the shorter bodied version, white, with navy blue interior. She’s named Betty White ☺️😎
If it's using coolant and not leaking any coolant then you're probably burning coolant or is getting into your oil... Check to see if you have any lovely milkshake looking material under your oil cap
Well I sent you a message telling you got a 1976 Toyota Chinook didn’t ask you to come and video it just wonder if you come across Denny in your Your junkyard runs
I dont think they bought it. I think theyre just getting it going for previous owner. Water in the coolant system will eat it up from inside out. I hope they flush and replace with coolant!
AVS carbs are EASY to tune. Buy a "Strip kit" you will get BOTH jets and metering rods. Both are easy to replace WITHOUT taking the carb apart. After a little time with a strip kit I have never failed to floor any car without bog or hesitation.
Everyone seems to be doing more expensive vehicles and bringing them to their beautiful shops. I like to see you guys out in the woods, putting stuff back together keep up the good work. Love to see you and Mook working together.
I drop everything to watch these videos. You've taught me so much I don't know where I'd be without you and your content. Thanks Kevin and the crew.

If it's using coolant and not leaking any coolant then you're probably burning coolant or is getting into your oil... Check to see if you have any lovely milkshake looking material under your oil cap

Aren't edelbrock carbs based on carter carbs? Thought carter carbs were a common figment on Chrysler motors.
What an awesome machine! Are yall going to keep this one?
Damn that things wicked cool. I'd drive it. Looks like y'all gonna have a blast with that thing. Keep on Motoring brother!!! Love the channel! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
