The hood has a weak spot if you don't already know. The hinges bend the hood in the middle. Hinge support that bolts to the hood is right under a crumple zone. There's a reinforcement that extends the hinge further so it's not located directly under the weakest spot of the hood. The hinge is designed to be pushed towards the windshield before you pull down.

Just discovered this channel a few weeks ago and it's the revivals that got me hooked lol.
I can see where some long time subs are coming from though. Kevin's capable of anything , so seeing him staying in one lane may be frustrating. I dunno, i'm not there yet lol.

Its the tutorials that are getting old. Watching him get junk running with free new parts from companies then just shoving them back in the trees to finish rotting with the new free parts is a bit unsettling but better then selling them for 10x their worth just cause he's a tuber like Morske. At least Mook brings a bit of fun and entertainment when she pops in. If you see him in the wild DON'T say hi he gets pissed!

My Dad had one of these with the fully removable roof and the 400 back in the 80s, had the whole thing redone, painted and pinstriped to match the boat he bought it to tow. Unfortunately, the engine rebuild wasnt exactly great and a pinhole in the oil pan caused it to lock up on the highway. Dropped a 350 under the hood and trucked on until it was replaced with a Sierra not long before the boat was sold.

The barn find farm truck video (2 episodes ago) was the EXACT tech that I needed. The swedge locks holding the axle shaft in place are notorious for rusting in place or simply not wanting to come out. However a small sledge hit right in the center does the trick but for the most stuckest ones hit another sledge together on the center and itll treat you right. Thanks for all the tech you show 👍👍

From what I understand the 6.2 and 6.5’s were the eco diesels of their day and not really meant to pull so if you get one thats been took care of they can be good. Flip side you get one thats pulled and pulled I’d avoid at all cost. Like I said just be weary on buying them. Have a good day.

Sure glad to not see another old Ford. These trucks are gold. Ya they're rusty but amazingly hard to break. The 400 is becoming so rare it is a serious find. It takes a bit of tweaking but a good set of Vortec heads on an old 400 is a very cheap 400 ish HP.

44:03 Actually, having the back window open is a very dangerous idea --- it sucks exhaust fumes right up into the interior, like with a station wagon or minivan! :O :S

Just one thing I learned about those demon carbs, if you take out the air cleaner stud, there is an air bleed adjustment under it. So you can set the butterfly in the transfer slot, and adjust the idle with the air bleed. It took me forever to learn that, just sharing.

Old enough to remember when that truck was new. One of the things we liked about the converted full time transfer case with a hub kit on it was being able to use what was "2lo", (4lo with the hubs left unlocked) to pull boats out of steep ramps, back stuff uphill slowly, etc. Nowadays I have a 07 Dodge Ram 3500 4x4 dually 5.9 6-speed, and I put a Yukon gear free spin kit on it for the same benefits, (and a bit of mpg). I use the 2lo to back our 5th wheel up the driveway, it is a wonderful thing.

I’ve got an 85 F250 HD 4x4 with a 460 in it just setting in my back yard. I used to drive it but the electric fuel pump went out so it’s sat for about 6 or 7 years now. I keep planning to fix the pump and get it running to go play off-road but other stuff always comes up. Videos like this really kick me in the ass and make me want to do it though. I miss playing in the mud.

Making a separate carb video will be awesome! Have like a tech talk section on your channel for things like breaks, tuning carbs ect.. I would personally reference it consistently. Also thanks for the raycon recommendation, been using mine for about 7 months now and love them more each time! Keep on keepin on Diggs 🤙🤘
