Thank you for this. I am currently enrolled in a data science program at my college but through learning more, I am leaning towards BI. I appreciate this info so much!
I like data, spreadsheets, R & predictive modelling. In my UG commerce degree I studied QBM, econometrics & TSAF .. databases & SQL. I fit data science but it is difficult discipline & I run away to humanities & human languages, but keep coming back to data science as I just love the intensity of analysis & challenge. But do not ask me to analyse Twitter data of politicians. Politics kills my interest in anything. I like to swim in business & technology.
Between Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio and the other most popular BI tools, which one is the best to learn first that would make learning the others afterwards easier? Also thank you for your amazing videos!
You're welcome. By far the best BI tool to start with is Looker Studio. The others have more advanced features but nothing beats the simplicity and ease of use of Looker Studio.
@@LearnBI are projects needed in order to get a job? I’ve worked in IT and as a customer success manager for SaaS products. I want to get back at being technical. Thanks for your response! Anything helps!
Hello I’m doing a dual degree course of btech in electronics and telecommunication and Mba in business intelligence and analysis I wish to do my MSC/MTech in data science is that a good choice if so could you recommend some universities? Please give some advice, great videos and very informative ❤️
I'm afraid it's impossible for me to recommend universities. There are so many variables to take into account. I'd recommend you find a related Subreddit and ask the question there. You'd definitely get better and more up to date information there.
Great question. To be honest I’m not sure the role even exists now with the emergence of data science and business intelligence as 2 separate roles. What do you think?
@Adam Finer - Learn BI Online to give a newer perspective on what's still out there. My last role before becoming a BI Analyst (which your channel helped me get btw so thank you!) was a Data Analyst role at a Pipeline Inspection Company where it was my job to observe scans created by a tool that went through a pipeline (water, gas, jet fuel etc). I essentially looked for cracks in the pipeline to measure their depth and in this role I was mainly analyzing their data both in quantitative form and also an image that was created with visualization and viewed with a color range to see the depth on these cracks and other anomalies. Long story short Data Analyst roles are still out there, and can be very broad in terms of what Data we can observe. This role was quite unique with proprietary software, and AI would have a really hard time with. Hopefully this gives a look into something different out there.
Thanks so much for sharing, I really appreciate it. And I’m glad my content could help in any way in getting you your new role. Hope you’re enjoying it!
Sir , recently i got an offer as a business intelligence analyst, i always wanted to be a data scientist and i have done courses , is it advisable to start my career as business intelligence analyst
No, if you want to be a data scientist you should follow that career path. As I explain in the video, BI and DS are different with just “data analysis “ in common.
PURE GOLD!! CONCISE, PRECISE, RELEVANT, ACCURATE, LOGICAL and TIMELY INFORMATION INDEED! Thank you, Adam Finer.

@@LearnBI Thank you!!
is Business intelligence something you progress from after Data analyst or Business anaylst?
You can do but don't need to. You can start off as a BI analyst. That's what my new program teaches. geni.us/bicsp_yt
