Stay BI curious. I loved it Adam. Thanks.
You’re welcome!
Interesting. I have watched all videos and all are beneficial but as a BI professional yourself, i would like to see more application examples and stories to support your explanations.
All the best
I've just posted a case study you might like: ua-cam.com/video/qB0vspslPn4/v-deo.html

Great One Dude
Thanks!
I am doing a study called commercial economy. A very wide angle of study, that makes students commercially ready for the business. But it is too wide. I want to specialize. Could this be a good study? I can see this area helpful for marketing and strategy for a company. Not something Commercial Economy can help me out.
I would only suggest specialising in BI if you're truly interested in it. Maybe take some time to research the subject a bit more. Good luck!
Thank you so much 🙏 what about data wearhousing is this the ultimate skill level of bi developer? I saw some job posting in indeed that mentioned this skill as a top most level of bi architect is it true and is this role is highest level in bi?
I wouldn’t say highest level because different roles require different skills. The knowledge needed to create data warehouses and pipelines crosses over a lot with the roles of data architect and engineer, jobs not exclusive to BI. BI analysts however work exclusively with business data whereas a data analyst does not. The video is more aimed at BI analysts and the skills needed to succeed. Hope this makes sense!
Hi! How about Python? is it useful for BI? if so, which libraries could you recommend learning?
For Business Intelligence you don't need to know Python because most BI projects don't call for the kinds of analysis that Python is built for. In BI you'll be mostly aggregating and visualising business data using SQL and BI tools that were built for BI. If you want to become a data scientist then you'll definitely need to study Python but that's a different channel 😁
I had to take a Python course to get my degree in business intelligence in addition to SQL. I think it’s useful for BI
Interested to know what kinds of analysis you were taught using python?
I am don't have any programming or coding language skills, I have just MS office skills . If I start in this field I have to start from scratch..My profession is Metallurgist I would like to do a course data science it's possible.. I can get entry in this field?
I think that if you already have Excel skills, the next thing to do would be to go beyond Excel by learning to use a BI tool like Google Data Studio (www.vitaminbi.education). I would then learn how to query data using SQL. Then you would have more on your CV to be able to start looking at getting into the field. Hope this helps!
@@LearnBI Thanks very much your valuable guidance!!
@@Jejejjenennen You're very welcome! Good luck!
Hi do you train for BI , I need to learn , I have minor with SQL , power bi and tableau dashboard but I need to learn more with guidance
my college offers business analytics and project management-IT combo course. Upon doing these two courses, can I be an IT Business Analyst/ consultant that works more towards the management side?
Without knowing exactly what these 2 courses teach, it's difficult to say. I think you would need to start off in a more junior position as a first job to learn the ropes and build up experience. A lot of things you will learn on the job that you wont learn from any course.
Hi Adam i hope you're fine. I'm currently in business development field and want to change my domain to BI. Kindly guide me the right steps to began.
Whats the difference between BI and Business Development?
@@vidanteandra358 Business development is a Business to Business sales job like selling long term contracts on a particular service etc., while BI is a technical job. you need BI tools to manipulate and visualize data of your company for data driven decision making.
@@saadhafeez9171 Thx broo for the info, And one more thing, what is the first step to learn BI, is it SQL or Phyton or Power BI? and do I need to have a good math skills? I really sucks at math tho
@@vidanteandra358 I started with Power BI. Now I am learning tableau & SQL. yes you need math skills & good business sense. but you can learn along the way. I suck at math's too.
I have worked in Pentaho and OBIEE
Now that I have resigned my job and looking for a new job, which all posts can I apply for..
BI analyst would be the most apt for those skills.
Should I become BI or business analyst or product manager
Only you can answer that. Just do your research and the answer will come.
do you have to be good at coding and programming ,!!?
To start in BI you'd only really need to know SQL but that can be fairly easily learned (start here: ua-cam.com/video/kbKty5ZVKMY/v-deo.html). After that it would depend on the company you work for as to whether you'd need to get to grips with other programming languages like Python.
is knowing statistics important at all?
For Business Intelligence, not really. Can't hurt to know some but you're better off learning SQL.
What papper i need for bi tell me plz
I'm sorry but I'm afraid I don't understand your question
Do BI and Data analyst (analysis)are same?
There’s a lot of crossover but not the same. BI deals strictly with business data, data analysts can work with any kind of data.
Can we use NoSQL instead of SQL for data analysis using tableau??
You can. For example, Tableau has a native MongoDB connector and that is NoSQL. But, obviously, the data would need to be stored in MongoDB.
