OUCH My 1st order Part B leaked, especially concerning was the Part B is not marked as to its volume. Therefore my mix was too stiff. ALSO: too expensive to use 😞
Sorry to hear that! We will be switching to Structural Pure shortly, which is mixed with water, and has no Part B needed. Unfortunately it is very expensive on Amazon, because of all their fees, but you are able to order it directly from us too.
Call us, and you can order it direct. Are you in the US? If you pay the flat rate shipping, I will send you product for no charge. 1-403-243-3000 Ask for Michael :)
Amazon has very restrictive packaging requirements. Instead of fixing the Part B container, we are releasing the patent pending TF Structural Pure which does not require the part B anymore.
my driveway has been power washed a number of times and the stones in the concrete that was mixed is showing. can this be put on this and will bond to the stones??
Yes, there are multiple ways to do things! That is a great way, as then you can let the crack continue to move freely, which is what it is going to want to do.
Where can i purchase this by the bag to resurface a driveway? Only place i found it was on amazon in little batches. I did order to try it out and amazon cancelled my order on the delivery date saying it was undeliverable.
Hi , im interested in getting this for my driveway that was done about 20 years ago..when it was done a lot of the stone floated to the top so it looks terrible.. will this adhere to that? Also, can I park my truck on it regularly? And lastly , as far as matinence, can it be powerwashed?
Makes sense. The homeowner should've taken the time to try and repair the crack first, but looks good. My question is, does this overlay have to be brushed? I like smooth concrete much better. This brushed overlay locks dirt and debri and makes stains look dirty.
It does not have to be broomed, but it is tougher to get a smooth finish, unless you have good trowel experience. If you don't mind the odd trowel mark, then no problem. You can also broom it down to get everything even, and then swipe over it with a pool trowel.
Cracks don’t matter much. You could mark where the crack should be, making pins to sight the approximate line. After the overlay is freshly hardened, you can use a concrete saw to cut where the crack will return. With the two pieces divided by this cut, then you have a “crack” that’s perfectly straight. You could then get ideas about an ideal joint compound. I wish I knew the best for longevity.
You can, but this takes a lot of experience to pull off correctly. After staining, you will want to apply some type of sealer as well, to keep the colours vibrant, or they will fade and lighten over time.
So basically, this is what happens when the customer doesn't want you to properly install the repair to cut corners. Goes to show that if you do the thing... and you do it right... and you don't mess it up... it works. It just works.
@@TerrafuseInc From a red seal cement mason, It looks horrible. Your border edges look like a first year apprentices attempt. The broom job is WAY too heavy. I pour concrete in the sub arctic of Canada where a "heavy" broom is required, and this would not fly. You need to let it set up more before you broom. Imagine if a child fell and scraped their knees on this monstrosity. They would need skin grafts. Seriously, do better.
Thank you for the video to the point and honest Much respect!
Thanks!!
Thanks for this honest appraisal
Can you come to Fort Wayne Indiana?😊
Very nice
Thank you. Great video
Glad you liked it!
Is it a slick surface if it's not brushed or broomed? I prefer a smooth look for stairs.
Will it withstand annual power washing
Yes

yup!
Why not chase that crack with a beveled blade and create a decorative joint, carry it across the other side for aesthetics?

Yes, it bonds like crazy to existing concrete substrates, you can park your truck on it all day long, and yes, it can be power washed :)
How many bags did you use for that area
About 2

@@TerrafuseInc I wouldn't want to try to burn in a finish by hand on this stuff - if it can be burned, anyway.
what is the fix after the crack comes back? Overlay the entire drive again or is that too much overlay to continue with over and over?
Yes, you can overlay, and use the crack bridging method.

Thx I thought that was the name of you company sir..cheers!!!
Where do you purchase this product in USA?
You can call our office direct for larger quantities, or it can be bought on Amazon in smaller amounts.
Can you stamp and stain the overlay or is that not recommended?
You can, but this takes a lot of experience to pull off correctly. After staining, you will want to apply some type of sealer as well, to keep the colours vibrant, or they will fade and lighten over time.

Why bother with putting an overlay on if it will look this bad after 3 years?
What’s bad about it?
