Julian, Since I switched to Continental GP 5000s in 700 x 32c with SILCA Latex Inner Tubes 24-30mm I've stopped wishing and dreaming for a better tire. They roll fast, resist punctures, ride comfortably, weigh little. I've been riding them for 2½ years with zero flats on paved and gravel roads. I'm 200# (91 kg), I keep pressures set to 62 psi front, 80 psi rear. Of course with latex tubes you MUST pump them daily, but you're already doing that, right? Keep shopping, they'll turn up. They are currently available on Amazon U.S. though I'm not seeing them on Amazon UK.
Very well said! I ride tubeless and tubes but have experience with both and in the city I like tubeless but I ride both.. I like your tire choice and agree on the gators I really do not like ridding them to slow but others might enjoy them depending on how and where they ride…. I did have a flat on the tubeless that took out the tire had to use a insert patch half the size of a dollar to get home. Got tubeless spray all over me hit glass sliced the tire. Flats always occurs in groups for me. Light tires nice ride and enjoyable times…
A mate had a sidewall fail on his corsas 100km from home, very expensive lesson, he still uses them... LBS sells pirelli, owner got 3 flats on 1 ride. I use gp5000 28mm, hard to get on, otherwise excellent, wearing well, just hit 5000km on them, no flats
I must not be a connoisseur of ride quality because I have been riding Gatorskins on my roadbike for the last dozen years. I just changed out my rear tire which was pretty cut up, but which had not yet flatted. My log says it had 3386 mi. on it. Since I hate to change flats on the road, 3386 mi. with no flats is OK by me.
@@JulianHutchings The sad thing is not that Boris (or Donald for that matter) has no moral compass but that so many people have voted for him knowing that.
I love Conti 4 Seasons tyres, especially the 32mm version, only ever had one visitation over the years which was a thorn which will go through just about anything

Yes, they last well but the ride quality is deader than Boris’ moral compass.

I can recommend Pirelli Cinturato Velo tires.
I have some 35mm ones but wanted slimmer tyres.
If we have to hear about this OCD ride anymore we will slit our wrists and upload it here. Other than that, great video as usual.

Use continental 4 seasons tyres, time between flats becomes years.
One of my mates has 4 Seasons; I’ve ordered some GP5000s in 30mm.
@@JulianHutchings well they are only useful for racing, to soft for endurance riding that you are doing sir. Although nice tyres.
