For those of you who care: it’d be a balanced overclock, more ammo and fire rate, but reduced damage and spread, the description would read; “What was once an exploit with the older lead storm models, is now an overclock, your ammo and fire rate is increased significantly, but due to the lighter ammo it shoots more unpredictably and weaker”
After LOTS of further testing with macros and playing with numbers in the hundredths of seconds, I found that 66 clicks per second is about the best I can optimize this bug. Using a 21223 Build (using a Thin Drum Walls OC for ammo) on more than 5 tests @ 66 CPS The minigun fired 2280 bullets on average before overheat.
Addendum for poor PC gamers: if you can try to reach for a consistent ~60 fps, a cps of 35 will be the most consistent number for achieving this bug. Unfortunately the total bullets you fire is around 1000 bullets before overheat
@@nucleus691 think they did since its nothing new, may be just hard to code it out... and has overall little impact in a coop only game too, its not like it can be used to make other players have a moserable time facing it
@@thorveim1174 even in most PvP shooters.... This has little impact as MOST of their guns/weapons that WOULD THEORETICALLY benefit from such LACK something (Accuracy, Damage per shot, Mag size....) To make such method useful (CoD esque games for example, even if the Dinky Handgun still kill in a 3-4 hit TTK, spam firing it faster than nornally possible just means oftenly 2-3 wasted shots on a mag size of at best 15+1)
@@andrehashimoto8056 here it wouild definitely be.. I mean its the high ammo capacity, no need to reload, grows more accurate as it fires minigun, and whats more the constant presses even slow down the heating of the gun compared to a single continuous button press :p
Did you have any issues with the shooting after the plaguefall update? My setup worked fine before the update, but now it shoots slower. Any suggestions how to bring it back or is it patched? I tried deleting the macro and setting it again but its still slow.
It is still working, just tested a few minutes ago. I've done a lot of testing with this bug, and it seems to depend on how your autoclicker functions. The delay between the button is released and pressed again specifically. I found that a delay between press and release of 0.006 seconds to be the lowest I could go before it would start to not work as effectively.

If I remember correctly, ammo is lost about 30% of the time due to the macro, but I can be wrong.
If GSG were to ever bring this back, they should call the overclock GAU-8 modular minigun.

very interesting, where you running a consistent FPS during your tests? Ive found that to make a huge difference
