Steve was EXACTLY what we needed, not some heart throb guy...dude was one of my first ever friends 😁 I'll never forget you Steve!

Steve was like everyone’s older brother/friend growing up. He was so chill and attentive and always had a calm yet present energy. That intensity he had was PERFECT for my adhd baby brain to be like “YES! I will Solve this puzzle and everything will be okay Steve! I will be your hero and we WILL have FUN!” It was perfect. I think that’s why I love escape rooms today. They’re just more complicated Blue’s Clues games/episodes.
Like the joke with Dora the Explora was she’s just blankly smile at you and “… … … Good!” And it was fun for a bit but boring. Steve wasn’t exactly worried, but he his FULL ATTENTION was on you and needs your help, and you were _not going to let him down_ and he’d have a _reaction_ when the problem was solved and the question was answered. You got to start a little low to get high, while Dora was always at the same level.
I find it weird that the Nick executives at the time wanted a “conventionally handsome heartthrob-y” guy to host a kids TV show for preschoolers…
