Haley, this should be a monthly ordeal!! Each month, pick a new genre within which to read 7 books in 7 days. It would be a really fun series! You could do fantasy, adventure, classics, etc. etc. It would also be another way to get out of your comfort zone with genres, and we all trust your opinions on books so much that it would be really nice to know how you feel about different types of genres! :)
I feel like a need to read 'then she was gone' again as I read it when I first got back into reading so I feel like I'd appreciate it even more now. It was amazing though !
A Good Girls Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson! the whole trilogy is amazing and they all reference each other and keep the story line going - couldn't put them down!
I love that trilogy! I bought the entire series and COULD NOT put them down. I've reread them several times, and I can still say that that -insert character's name here-'s death was the saddest. I'll put the name of the character below so people aren't given spoilers. Barney the Golden Retriever
I absolutely could not get into this book. I tried so many times, and I can’t get past chapter 2 or three. Everyone who talks about it says it’s so good.
I was no joke just binge watching ur vids and then a notification came up of another vid and I was like “OMG YES!” EDIT: Aye 200 likes in 1 day!! Ty 🫶🏻✨
Omg I love seeing your reactions to these books! There’s nothing like a book that can make you feel shock like a movie. I definitely want to read the House across the lake now 😅
Ahhh I love that you’re in your thriller era!!! Riley Sager is one of my favorite thriller authors so it’s so exciting to see you reading his back list! I’m excited for you to read Home Before Dark whenever you get to it! That is in my top 3 faves form him! 😌
This is one of my favourite books of all time, but it’s got so much criticism mostly because of the ending. I personally loved the ending because I could have never predicted it. Loved the main character, loved the setting, loved the whole damn book ❤
BOOK REC!! Haley you should read The Girl on the Train! It is an amazing thriller and one of my favourite books I've read recently. In England you can get it at a charity shop for a couple pounds so it should be cheap online. I adore thrillers myself but I don't like basic/repetitive storylines. This kept me guessing till last minute and - as someone who will sometimes be unmotivated to pick up my book - I couldn't put this one down. I finished this on a train journey and now I can't wait to read some of her other books - I'm especially excited to read A Slow Fire Burning by Paula Hawkins!
If you love thrillers you should try Mary Higgins Clark!❤😊 My Mary Higgins Clark recommendations would be: 1. Let Me Call You Sweetheart 2. Daddy Goes A Hunting 3. Just Take My Heart 4. A Stranger Is Watching 5. Where Are The Children? Avoid these books: 1. The Shadow of Your Smile (probably her worst) 2. I'll Walk Alone (just meh) Another I like is Shirley Jackson: 1. We've Always Lived in the Castle 2. Haunting of Hill House Frank Peretti is another favorite author of mine: 1. The Oath 2. This Present Darkness 3. Piercing the Darkness
since you liked reading 'the house across the lake' you should read 'the woman across the window' it has a very similar plot and i found it pretty interesting
I love Riley Sager’s writing style because he never describes characters so you can easily put yourself in the characters place. Just found your channel and I’m loving your videos.
Where do u read/ listen to ur audiobooks from?? like spotify or audible?? ik haley (da queen) is probably not gonna see this so any recommendations from fellow readers?? in specific iim trying to read MoA by rick riordan on audiobook + other HoO series books, (huge rick riordan fan btw) pls recommend !
I think you may like Rock Paper Scissors by Alice Feeney, it’s a domestic thriller with a big twist! Also Behind her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough is really good too!! X
You have to read Five Survive by Holly Jackson! I just finished and I couldn’t put it down even as a usually nonreader. Soooo many plot twists super intense thriller, layout of the book was so immersive, writing was great, characters feel like my friends now
You should definitely read both The Silent Patient and The Maidens by Alex Michaelides! Also, I would love if you briefly mentioned how “spicy” books are in your review! I try not to read too many spicy books, and I have found that quite a few thrillers are, so if you could mention that a bit, it would be so helpful!! I can’t wait to read some of your recommendations!
You can probably try reading the Jack Reacher series by Lee Child. I own two of the Jack Reachers and I have very very recently started one and I think that I am going to like it. (I am not very far through but it is interesting anyways). It was also popular back in the day (haha) and it has also been converted into a TV Series.
Can you recommend some thrillers that are so good from start to finish? Like I love thrillers so much but lately i cannot find any that do not bore me😭😭 like i just need to be at the edge of my seat the entire time
Yes! Karin Slauther is really good! But yes, dark and creepy, definitely should check for trigger warnings before you start reading. I love her writing tho
The turn of the key by ruth ware!! She’s a really popular thriller writer too. Also they never learn by layne fargo. All about revenge & female rage. & the chain by adrian mckinty is one of the most interesting plots ive ever read!
I just finished ALL GOOD PEOPLE HERE by ASHLEY FLOWERS. It was a slow star and there’s a cliff hanger that I’m hoping means a sequel BUT once you get into the book it’s a page Turner and a quick read! A really good book & plot twists everywhere you turn😉
Just finished the house across the lake ! Wtaf was that I was here then I was there and then literally the last 10 mins of the book!!!!!!!! I’ve been in such a rut Thankyou for recommending this to get me out!! Def ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
I don´t think this is a thriller but it was a nail biting experience for and the books was a good girl´s guide to murder by Holly Jackson. This book to me had a lot of intense scenes but it was so good.
Blake Crouch’s books are my favorite sci-fi thrillers! they are small, quick reads but PACKED with plot twists and you literally will not want to put it down until you’ve finished it !! “Recursion” is my favorite book he’s written :)
7 books in 7 days! You have got mad skills. I am so excited to read The House Across The Lake, the cover is what got me intrigued and this is the first five star ⭐ review I have heard. Watching your videos always makes me want to make a mad dash to the bookstore! Thanks for posting (and such a great video 😊) !
The Housemaid by Freida McFadden is amazzzzinggg!! Finished it in one day legit could not put it down. Major The Last Mrs. Parish / The Turn of the Key vibes
The mermaids singing by Val McDermid is definitely one of my favourite thriller/investigation books. Unexpected plot twist + relationships between charachters arent cliché.

You should read books by Grady Hendrix! I really loved The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires by him. Also, he published a book that's really similar to Riley Sager's Final Girls called The Final Girl Support Group. You should give them a try! Ps. Honestly so happy you've found a new genre that you like so much!
As a B&N bookseller who runs the Mystery/Thriller section, I recognized all of those! XD I will say, though, the Auntie books, while classified in our system as Mystery, is shelved in the Fiction section at the store I work at. For a recommendation, Hostage by Clare Mackintosh was amazing! I loved that book and highly recommend giving it a try.
I recommend We All Have Our Secrets by Jane Corry, I am around 40 pages away from finishing it and it has so many plot twists! I don't read books that often but this really got me Gripped.
Since I've watched your first book video I've been reading more that I already was. And I've just finished yesterday Colleen Hoover's book titled -verity- which I guess it's a thriller (it was a bit scary at some times) I loved it sooo much tho. If anyone wants to read it I definitely suggest you to !💕
Ruth Ware is my mystery/thriller queen! Butttt I did get spooked reading her stuff at night. Highly rec The Turn of the Key and The Death of Mrs Westaway
A thriller reader here ✋🏼 The reason people are giving it low reviews is because those people are avid thriller readers, so we have already read so many different books so this book by Riley Sager just happens to be low
Haley!! You MUST read April Henry’s writing! She is one of my absolute favorite writers of mystery/thriller and I’ve read almost all of her books because they are so all good! The plot twists are amazing and her writing style is phenomenal 💕 Also I love this video, definitely want to read The House Across the Lake now
I'm obsessed with your reading vlogs/challenges. It makes me super motivated to read more and more everyday. Can you share your goodreads profile so we can see what have you read so far and what book are you reading while there isn't new video? Love u
