I think her son is very lucky to have her making fresh almond milk, fresh bread and fresh baked zucchini sticks! It sounds like he helps though. How wonderful that they cook together.
I LOVE your channel! So, here's a tip. Add some bajri (chickpea flour) to the almond milk to make a batter. You can then leave out the "flour" step, the batter will adhere to the zucchini. Pat the zucchini with a tea towel (or paper) before this step. Such a great way to make zucchini!
Thank you! I will definitely try that next time I make that. What a great idea!
This made more sense to do it this way...thanks for the suggestion.
Beary Good Beans Bajri is millet chickpea flour is made from garabanzo beans
What can we use to replace the bread crumbs? Or can we omit the bread crumbs and re flour it with a different flour?
I bought a JUMBO zucchini from the farmers market and your recipe was exactly what I was looking for! Thanks for sharing!
I got one as a present. First I thought I could use it for self-defense. What else could I do with it? But now I'm going to try this recipe :-D
Making this recipe now! I hope my kiddos love it! They enjoy zucchini! Thank you for your easy and simple recipe!
Hi Betsy, how did they like it?
I added some ground chia seeds to the milk. They came out nice and crunchy. Thanks for the recipe! Next time I will only add more spices.
what a great side for pasta!!!!! I'm totally going to do this!!!
thanks for sharing this recipe. My Boys
loved it.
just wanted to let you know I did the recipe with mushrooms tonite...oh my WOW! it was to die for!!!!
So glad you enjoyed!
Wow it looks so good! I’m going to try em tonight! Like that they’re not fried, don’t want to do that too too often
Hope you enjoy
Love that you keep it real Nina
I just wanted to let you know I enjoyed the idea of breading and baking zucchini! So I tried this idea today but used Potato Strong's wet batter he uses on his onion rings. It was yummy! I shared this video also. Thank you! Have a wonderful day!
OMG! I love potato strong!! I forgot about the onion rings. I will definitely try this with batter. Thanks for watching!
Update on this: my 16 year old son loved them! He didn't use to like it when I baked zucchini (he only liked it cooked on the stove top) but this won him over! Yay! And thank you for your videos for me to watch :-)
I just found your channel and I LOVE it! Your easy, organized style is so refreshing to watch. I can't wait to try all your family friendly recipes.
just made these zucchini sticks and they are awesome !!
The perfect snack if you are hungry but not hungry :-)
Yes they are!
Looks delicious! Going to try this recipe today. Yum!
Thanks so much for the great recipe. I can't wait to make this for the kids they will love it.
These are awesome so delicious my favorite snack that I need to do more often
Doesn’t the milk wash off the flour before you put them in the breadcrumbs?
it looks great and tasty! however, I don't see the point of dipping it in flour and then milk as it kinda washed off all the flour?
I know, I have tried it without and it just does not taste the same. It does something to it. LOL
What if you just mix the milk with the flour to make it a batter. I think that would be much better and the bread crumbs would stick alot more. That's how I'm going to tweak this recipe. This is a good video, thanks!
Making this recipe right now can't wait to try them thank you for sharing !
How did they come out?
Made these and they are super yummy and easy
I'm just so impressed how your kids eat and love your food so hard to get kids to eat healthy nowadays
Hi chefboyarleezy, I used to struggle with our 3 yr old with that too, but I've found that good recipes are key! 2ndly, if there's certain fruits or vegetables that they don't like, move on and try others. My daughter doesn't like raw celery, but she does like raw bell pepper. Let me know if that helps make any progress!
This looks yummy and no oil. Great video.
I'm going to try this but I might mix the flour with the bread crumbs. I made some vegan no oil onion rings like this.
Nice video... I just made this... But mine tasted plain any suggestions... Only used garlic powder and salt n pepper?
Please tell me how you made your almond milk?
What kind of bread crumbs did you use?
looks amazing!
Love these! I'm eating some right now actually 🤙🏻
I used your recipe and they were a hit!!!!! 😋 thank you so much!!!!
Fab recipe! Thank you for sharing *[yum]*!
You could just mix the flour and bread crumbs together, that way the flour doesn't come off in the milk, and saves time.
Hummmmm...
All my fav stuff!!!!
Looks delicious. Definetly going to try this :-)
Hi, whats the point of putting in the flour?
I think the order of the preparation it's not like this. You need first put your slice of zucchini in milk next to the flour and then in bread powder. I can suppose that the flour dissolve into the milk. Otherwise it's all good :)
No, it is all in order, and no the flour does not dissolve in the milk:) Thanks for watching.
onray _ almond milk in lieu of egg - that's the basic method _ - flour, eggs, bread crumbs
Yeah, I agree, you have to dip it something wet first.
I have been watching a lot of online cooks do the same thing, it seems backwards to me also, but it works
You are wrong :/ flour first then egg/milk then bread
I do them me too! They're delicious!
Looks yummy!
That looks good!
Do you have a website with printed recipes?
Instead of bread crumbs how about corn meal for crunch?
Amazing idea. Will try it :D
They look terrific!
Yum. I'm breading lots of things these days. ;)
Potato Strong Me too. Did you know that not all bread crumbs are the same? I have tried many different kinds and found that my bakers left over bread makes the best ones. Thanks Will:)
love ur videos!
Definitely going to try this!
Make a batter with the flour and milk and save a step.
It seems like dipping in the milk would make the flour come off.
I make refried beans all the time now! Thank you!
balderdashery G That is so awesome!! Thanks for watching:)
finger licking good, I love when I make these my gf always gives me some bed room time.
Are you on Pinterest?
Hi can i also use soy milk?
You can use any non-dairy milk for this recipe:)
did you say polenta sticks???
waow no fkin way ddis looks awesome thx NO OIL TOO WHOO!!
Can I use coconut milk
You can use any nut milk. If you are using the kind in a can, then maybe water it down a little.
+Nini Girl Ⓥ thanks for replying !!! But am gonna use homemade coconut milk
om nom nom
Salt Free Ms. Dash is salty? 🙄😂🤷🏽♂️
No salty but a little peppery.
Oh, ok. I was worried lol
Dash is not spicy lol.
why would you put it in flour first and wash it off with the milk? this is stupidity at its finest. Eat some meat, maybe then you'll realize to put in milk first then roll it in flour and breadcrumbs. You're just wasting flour.
It's called double breading. Open a cookbook sometime.
Can I use oat milk
yes!
