What I don't understand is WHY people make so much about viewing angles? Am I going to be engaging in gymnastics when working on a laptop, lol? No! I'm pretty much going to be viewing it at the BEST POSSIBLE ANGLE, no? And I can do that. WHY would I view it from any other angle? This seems to confirm what type of screens I have on my POS laptop vs. my desktop monitor. I can watch movies on my laptop while lying in bed, with the computer lying in front of me, but I can't move or else I have to line up the screen again. The viewing angle where it looks just okay is very narrow, and if I turn it a few degrees or move my head it starts to go black or white, or even worse. However i have macbook air m1 whose ips panel is of top notch quality with p3 color gamut coverage, i see this panel for hours and it never gives me eye strain at all. so it depends on panel as well.
Yes panel quality matters the most
highly practical video
Thanks
I'm trying to choose between an IPS 15.6 inch 72℅ ntsc 60hz and a TN with 94%NTSC and 120hz...which should I buy for upgrading my laptop display..
Any day, I prefer ips irrespective of any refresh rate
@@OdinHardware which country are you from?
@@jithinsankar787 bro if I'm not wrong the IPS one is 6 bit and the tn one is 8 bit.
I'm too struggling to find answer
Did you perform the upgrade?
@@faizansarwar6811 i couldn't do my upgrade as i was not able to order the right model.
How am I suposed to see the difference of colour if my laptop has a tn panel? I won't see real colour od the ips panel in the video '-'
look at you smartphone
Well colour reproduction of tn is better 😅
No, have you seen it in person?

I have a question, can the laptop that was originally TN be changed to an IPS? because I want to replace it
Very difficult. I tried once
got something stuck on the TN panel, screen protector?
No
good comparison, useful video
Glad it was helpful!
If we have to choose a laptop between Ips ans panel then what should we choose ?
Ips ans ?
IPS for photo editing. With TN what viewing angle shows true color?
Max 30 degrees tilt that's it.
Only viewing straight gives good experience with TN
TN panels gives me headaches
3:04 OH JESUS CHRIST 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂
IPS display and TN display which is more expansive ?
Now, it's not much difference in price
But which one is higher than ?
Not sure my sister got a $230 cheap laptop and the screen is ips so i guess it depends on how good the screen is? Idk
@@jonasxrblx9810 The main thing on a laptop is its specifications and the screen is number 2
except hp no one mention what panel they used
May i know what redmibook model you used in this video? And what processor it is use?
Horizon 14. 10th gen i3
the tn is better because it looks more fluid than a 165hz ips monitor
?????? wtf are you talking about??
I like the TN display better. More real to life. More life like. Yeah I know IPS is superior or supposed to be. I like HP brightview (glossy) laptop displays. I have them in my two 17.3" HP laptops. Resolution 1600x900...Yup not FHD and I still prefer it. Matte/anti-glare laptop screens are no good to me. I have 15.6" FHD Dell laptops with that. I will be selling one.
I am watching this video on my desktop's IPS computer monitor. So I know IPS.

Hi! I just bought a new Asus Zenbook with Full HD LED IPS panel. This is really feels peace of sh.t.
We have an older Zenbook with same Full HD but NON IPS panel. Much better for my eyes. The colors are really colors. IPS is too bright especially white color. If I reduce the brightsness the white still blinding me if i work at night at minimum brightness.....
Yes , I too prefer non led or pure lcd models for reading or data based jobs.
Thank you!
🙏
Depending the use
How can we check the screen display is of ips or tn without testing based on view angle but instead through specifications
color quality. TN will have pale colors
2:17 thats is big. Problem with tn screen
Maybe that's beneficial if you're working on a public space and you don't want people looking at your screen from the side. Kinda situational though
Here in Brazil laptop ips display costs more than 4,500 reais, unfortunately all the technology items are very expensive, I'll need to buy Lenovo Ryzen 7 ssd 512 gb 8gb ram full hd, but is tn
That's the reality in few countries, prices are ridiculously high for such things
TN panel on my HP laptop sucks...
thx. TN monitor is really bad for eyes due to angle. Do not look at TN screen for a long time. Your eyes are precious.
Thats subjective
Very helpful, Thanks!
You're welcome!
Which one is best for study TN or IPS ?
It’s very subjective
I prefer lcd monitors that launched in 2004-2007 I.e pre led era
For reading purpose tn should be better and also ppi (resolution/screen size)is equally important
What is best?
Subjective
R.I.P. IPS TN panel is trasch
MEJOR ES IPS, BUEN VIDEO, AMIGO.
Thanks
Right one which Xiaomi model?
Yes.
Are both full hd?
Yes
IPS vs WVA panel which is good?
Ips
@@OdinHardware should i buy dell 5509 72% ntsc wva panel or lenovo thinkbook with 100% srgb ips panel? (i5 11th gen processor)
@@MadMax-zl4nj wva is tn panel with wide viewing angle so it is always be TN panel. Choose IPS only
I always prefer ips
Does battery consumption increases with ips panel?
Yes, slightly
Are we talking about more than 10% difference or less?
Thinking about changing my TN screen to IPS that's why
No, that huge. But getting ips panel for that particular laptop model might be difficult. Please Come back again telling your experience
Yeah Sure.
Thanks Bro🙋🏼♂️
Welcome
Good one👍🏻
Thanks for liking
What is that hp IPS display model name
not even comparable . TN produces more accurate colors and very minimal glare. who cares about angle view.
What
for me TN looks really good
better than ips
my laptop with ips display is worst
Edit: MY LAPTOP HAS A WVA DISPLAY 😭
why tho
I can understand bro. I'm dealing with the same. That yellows colour sucks

why ips is too yellow?
Not like that, people who are used to tn for prolonged time will experience this. Just use ips for some time and see how pale tn panel look like
To ips
Right one is ips?
Yes
Why the hell ips looks extra yellow?
You will get used to.
because your eyes got cheated of seeing pale colors on tn panel
2 Laptop name?
mi notebook 14
Yes you can pair. No issues. proper bios update is necessary
i use dell lattitude E7250 and i think its tn panel, this panel just make my eye sick
