Thank you very much! No where else do they say to unplug for 5 minutes prior to reset. My Frigidaire had nothing working but the door light and I was about to buy a new control board when I heard you say to unplug for five minutes. Saved me!

Thanks for this, my dryer was shutting off after a few seconds, it started acting like that after a strong electrical storm, I did the reset and when through all the diagnostics and it started working normal again. I was afraid that the controller was fried, it costs about $170

My dryer is a model FAFE4044MWL frigidaire, at the moment of powering it says PAUSE, and doesnt initiate any function, i need help on the error. what i can do.
You didn't go into what trouble codes mean I had an E68 code meaning stuck switch.Ive done appliance repair before for years but retired before the new electronic jobs came out. The plastic nylon tipped fingers between the outside button to the inside board switch WILL WARP and stick your switch closed giving you a stuck switch error code. Simply pull the board off take out the switch row carefully and easily bend the plastc back away from the switch,trust me it saved me at least a 400 dollar call and or a 220.00 control board for a 30 minute maybe I might know try! It works.
My infinity dryer shuts off midcycle then i push on button and starts again but keeps shuting off

my frigdaire dryer is a mode feg1442es1. it runs a short time, stops and 4 lights drying, cool down, press saver and check lint filter blink with occassional beeping. I stop them by pushing pause, then start to restart the process. If I push start and pause together, the start light blinks. I thoroughly cleaned the lint out of the machine. Do I need a new control board?

I have a Frigidaire Affinity. dryer. I have tried the process you have shown. My problem is it won't shut off. It continues to run with the door shut and when I open it and shut it back it continues to run. No matter which buttons I push it stays the same. Does this mean that maybe the door switch is not working? Thanks

what do I do if a light stay on when I'm in test mode
stuck switch most likely or you've got a bad board telling it to stay on. If the board switches themselves click thru they should be good. But if everything runs right with the lite staying on could just be a faulty line driver in the circuit keeping it on. Line drivers are a digital transistor switch that processors tell something to turn on, like a lite or a motor or about anything to a higher power value control device like a relay or power transistor even.

I have an fridgidaire affinity drier similar to this one. I was drying some sneakers and then after it stopped heating and the 3 lights starting flashing after a minute of having dryer on. I unplugged and now it’s working but no heat.
What can I do ?

On mine LOC displayed when I pressed OPTIONS and SELECT for a few seconds. I think it locks the option.
How do you get it out of loc mode?
Hold select and option for 6 sec

Daniel Collier yep, but I don’t know what or how I did it though, it’s been soo long. I just kept pressing buttons and holding them down when I see the light flash’s and repeat it over and over again until it started working again. I haven’t have problems ever sense. I apologize I couldn’t help you.

You pressed SELECT and OPTIONS keys for a few seconds and locked the setting.
Mine just did this, held the select + options buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds. Then it beeped for like 1-2 seconds... that was that. Thank ya'll!

Why on earth would they make it so needlessly complicated.
My code is E4A, it come up after ruffly 20 minutes of drying so currently my daughters and I have had to use the 15 minute dry time and keep hitting it again & again and you get it................
I watched this vid a few months back when it first happened and cycled thru the same as shown and fixed it. I did actually R&R the entire assembly looking for a bad continuity, switch, board, short and I cleaned out all the long while it was completely disassembled.
The only thing I think triggered it this time was when my teenage daughter decided to wash her comforter and sheets for probably the first time ever and her patients were pressed, so she took the linens out of the wash before they were completely done. Meaning they were soaking wet and obvious it’s very heavy!
The dryer still spins and heating element is functioning, it just stops and errors out around the same timeframe so I can’t get a true 30 minute or more dry time.
Any help would be fantastic...🤙🏽
