Imagine waiting that long just to lose
It’s like cricket 😂
@@caio5987 fr. Any series that takes days to finish really 😂
Well just think about a war then...You may have lost so much, suffered so much and still end up in the losing side after years and years of struggle, suffering further disgraces.
That's dope lol
@@jaguatiricaimediata5305i dont think anyone cares who wins in a war as long as they are alive
That'd be a pretty cool merger story to be fair 😂
That's what I thought :) at this point, it would be nice to build a team with the best players of both teams.
1k likes congrats on the best comment of this vid
@@RLHF_YT_NB It's definitely the worst comment.
I hope they hold an annual friendly against each other. That’d be so wholesome
That they replay if they lose
They got to know each other so well, I bet they were sad when it was over. Those goal-less games could have been on purpose. You never know
This is the longest knockout-tie in football history, not the longest INDIVIDUAL football game ever played.
Shut up, nerd
That record was broken this year in Australia. Macarthur FC vs Newcastle Jets in February 2023. From kick-off to the full time whistle, 4 hours had passed due to delays caused by electrical storms. That eclipsed the previous record set in 1946 between English sides Stockport and Donscaster Rovers which lasted 3 hours and 23 minutes
@@joshscott3481Sydney FC vs Perth last month lasted over 3.5 hours from KO to FT for the same reason
What about the fc Dallas game
@@F1Forlife-hn1tj what fc dallas game?
Longest tie, longest fixture... but separate games were played
Sadly, FA Cup third and fourth round replays are expected to be scrapped. Not only this but the 2 legged semi finals of the EFL cup are also likely to disappear from the English football calendar. The reason for this is being attributed to the expansion of European competitions. Sad news for smaller teams in the competition. Getting a replay, especially if it's shown on TV, is a big help for non-league teams. I agree with changing the league cup semi-finals to one leg, but I think the FA Cup decision is awful and will really hurt lower tier teams. Just to explain, in the FA Cup, ticket money is split equally (45% each) between the teams, no matter where the game is played. So, if a team like Accrington plays at Old Trafford, they get about half of the ticket money from the whole stadium. This money is crucial for lower-league teams. Getting rid of replays means teams with a home draw against bigger opponents miss out on this big financial help...
I don't want efl cup semi final double legs anyway that's okay. I'm only upset about replays
What if we just let the team in a higher tier host the match in the first place?
The efl cups 2 legs are just stupid
The teams should be asked after the draw is made. If either of them says yes to replays, a drawn game should be replayed. That way, Prem teams playing against each other could decide not to but lower league teams could benefit from them.
Most premier league teams don't accept the gate receipts when they go away to lower league teams
So it's not a single game at all?
More like longest fixture I guess?
Yeah I feel click baited
This is more than one game, not the longest game ever played.
This is definitely misleading- it should be more accurate as ‘the longest running draw between two sides in a single round of a competition’
Love your content ❤
Congratulations on Liking the Thing
Imagine they merged and fired all the alvechurch players so the Oxford city player are the ones progressing in the fa cup 😂😂😂
Never knew the city I was born hosted a world record
Melbourne City and Victory broke this record last year
Explain?
@@Ginger8931 the match was originally abandoned due to a pitch invasion at the 21st minute, then resumed 109 days later. Incidentally, one player (Aiden O'Neill) scored in both parts of the match.
@@tcookiemyeah but Oxford city v Alvechurch was actually 8hours. It wasn’t postponed, I don’t count it
@@zainjaved18but that game was also 5 seperate ones
That game (technically) lasted for about 2,616 hours in total. Nobody’s beating that record anytime soon.
imagine if all matches they played ended up in a draw 😂
South America: homegrown talent and rarely stars of nations outside it.
North and central Americas: same.
Africa: same.
Europe: talents from outside and inside, and more money, also for some reason is the spotlight.
Asia: the same except for the spotlight part.
Oceania: apart from Australia only amateur teams.
That's six games. We hold the *actual* record against Doncaster
Can proudly say my team lost the longest ever match
There’s a local story here in the parish where I live, they didn’t had penalty kicks in the regulation after the regular time , there was this golden goal rule instead. Once in a tournament, one game ended in a draw because at the time rural Portugal was very poor and the fields didn’t had lights. The game lasted for 4 hours because no one managed to score a goal and just ended because it was very dark. In the very next day, they held a rematch and again, lasted for so long, that both teams just decided to divide the trophy, that because the next day was going to be a Monday and players couldn’t miss their job. 😅
What about the EFL Cup final between Aston Villa and Everton which took 3 matches to decide a winner?
One tie. Not one game.
A merger isn’t the worst thing in the world. Messi and Ronaldo have fun together.
Back then, the first match didn't have extra time, only the replays.
I remember my team (Crystal Palace) played Forest in the FA Cup 3rd Round, first game was 0-0, Replay was 2-2, then two attempts at a second replay called off due to a waterlogged pitch and then fog. Ended up losing the 2nd Replay 3-0.
As a Villa fan, I didnt know the Doug Ellis was named after a former chairman!
That's 6 games -.-
The video never says anything else - six games in five different stadiums. Watch the whole video.
@@definealwaysthe video title uses singular game, as does the first line in the video. I suppose there are some linguistic shenanigans with how to describe a football cup draw that stretches across multiple instances of 90 minutes playtime, but they lead off with singular game.
But that's 6 games right there. What are those guinness people smoking ?
still not as long as stoppage time nowadays
gamblers who put, team go through 🥶
Bookies must've had so much fun
ALVECHURCH MENTIONED RAHHHHHHHHHHHH
i play for alvechurch 💛🖤 UTC
6 games played
i guess this is the longest fixture tie not an individual game
The copa libertadores final of 2018: 😐
Rip Doug Ellis ❤
British people be like : Yeah! Thats a great idea!
I watch a football game, which one? Oxford vs alvechurch episode 5
Expected something like LA Wolves v Washington Whips
The shortest game is 3seconds because it was cancelled when someones purse was stolen
Haha funny to see a club I’ve played against (albeit at youth level) in a tifo video!
i play for alvechurch youth academy
The Lemans of soccer
Surprised not to see United vs Villareal europa league final....
wholesome
It was actually in the 71/72 fa cup not 70/71
Wasn't there a game in the MLS that was delayed for a month (+46000 mins)?
How can the longest game be 6 games?
Why did they change the stadium everytime?
.75 🥶
Why did they not just use extra time and pens instead of having multiple replays tf
damn
Back then ticket money was a real revenue
This aged well 😂😂😂
The guy in graphics in the white and blue hooped shirt. Looks like a replica of CR7.
Not a game, several games as part of an FA Cup tie.
So, nothing changed after that was happening? Nothing at all? Is it even allowed to have that many matches?
I mean, now if the tie is still even after the replay, penalties are used.
Hardly the most common, and the calendar was clear enough for the big clubs to have that many. Nowadays, replays are a dirty word with more profitable club internationals taking over the calendar.
Yeah Snake lost 😂
We have a penalty shootout or........
NO IT WAS ESTONIA V SCOTLAND
Incorrect
😂😂😂😂
Ppl no even know what sacrifice means
