I also use the Porter & Davies tactile monitoring system. The Porter & Davies BC Gigster is used for the DrumAngle studio configuration and the Porter & Davies BC2 is used for live performance and practice setups.
I've been a drummer for well over 20 years. I love your drumming style and I love how you took the basic elements of the song but embellished with your own drum style. Awesome job brother.
Thank you, I really appreciate the compliments! I really tried to take the elements from the original studio version and live clips that I watched of Stewart Copeland to try and use for inspiration. Glad you liked it!
Stewart Copeland meets Al Schmitt meets Luke Oswald. ;) Awesome upload, dear Luke. The drums blend perfectly within the mix, the combination of the modern sounding Pearl MX kit with the vintage Zildjian cymbals fits very nicely for this tune. And I love Spencer‘s singing as always.
Thank you so much Mike, always happy when I see your comments! I love this library and love this Pearl kit, worked great for this tune!
Luke! You've almost single-handedly sold me on both Superior Drummer 3 (which I use in a lot of productions and love) and a Jobeky drumset. You have such a breath of high-quality videos that showcase the power of e-drums and specifically Jobeky drums! Now, you just need to convince my wife a Jobeky set is worth replacing my V-Drums ;-)
Great job as always!
Thank you so much, appreciate the compliments! Check out my latest live streams for a ton of e-drum related information.
My apologies to all my subscribers for uploading this twice and sending you another notification in the upload feed. Realized some of the BG vocal channels didn't get bussed down properly in the stereo master, so I wanted to re-upload the video and give you the very best!
Luke, you're my drumming hero!
Thanks!
Incredible cover!
Fantastic sounds and perfect execution!
Ready for a tour with the Police, man !!!
LOL, thank you, glad you liked it!
Good work
Freaking phenomenal dude. Loved it...
Thank you so much!
Tight and wonderful playing. Not easy at all to play any Police song and you nailed it! Have an awesome week! Also dig your sound!
Thank you so much!
Love it...
Thanks!
Damn, what I wouldn't give to be able to play with a drummer like you. Every drummer I played with in my 20's played like you. Now that I'm in Dallas, everyone I've met can't keep time. :) Love your right hand high hat technique.
Thanks, appreciate the compliments!
This sounds awesome!
Thank you very much!
@@DrumangleOfficial i even said to my buddy this should be an advertisement for decades
Brilliant interpretation. Loved your originality on this without losing the Stewart Copeland effect !
Great performance! I have a question (If I may), I noticed you are able to play cross stick on the rim on the snare like a regular acoustic snare. I thought that was only possible on the Roland PD-140 digital snare. Could you tell me what type of triggers you have on that snare? Before my PD-140, I had to lay my stick across the bottom half of my PD-128 and only touch the rim to trigger just the rim. If I happened to touch the mesh, it will trigger like a regular snare hit... Thanks in advance!
So typically I would use the side stick with the bottom of the stick on the rim as oppose to the on the snare like you see here. You can get it to respond the way you want, but honestly I was going for it to look as authentic as possible within the video performance, which is why I chose to play the side stick in that manner.
man where did his torso go :o
Hello, can people make pre sets and put them up for others to download? Basically, do you have any presets that we can download to have kits set up in SD as you have them? I ask because while I understand it won't always work perfectly, it could help people understand how to get better set ups like with Hi hats. I have Jobeky hi hats and they don't do well.
Thanks!
I don't provide or sell my presets, however, if you'd like to do a live lesson session, we can walk through any of the setting specifics you want.
Something wrong with the video. Stutter (like missing 16th-ish). Very strange. Happens three four times just in the end of the video.
Thanks for the heads up, can you provide an exact time marker for me?
