+F9 Audio Of course! and you are the most welcome! You Sir absolutely rock! The informations given, the format of the tutorial, your pedagogy and sound make absolute sense! I'm a music student (Drummer) dabbing in EDM songwriting and you helped me in ways you can't imagine, Thank you!!! and carry on the awesome work! :))
This guy's absolutely priceless with info, he's articulate very thorough and know's more about music tech than anyone ive ever watched on youtube. Class info.
I didn't expect much from this video since I'd never heard of F9 Audio. Turns out this lesson was absolute gold! There was not one piece of useless information in here. Thanks for making this video. I'll certainly be subscribing and awaiting more tutorials.
2022 and so pleased to have found this. Recent buyer of the Classic synths, your attention to detail yet easy to understand is highly appreciated thank you for making my hobby more fun!
I just found Jame's F9 top 10 tips tutorial refreshing and the lessons are fast enough to keep your interest spiked and your brain retains the tips, as well as the music is....musical . I'm a songwriter producer user since Logic 4 and I check upon new logic pro x videos all the time, and there are too many out there that bore the daylights out of you with" Oh look what's this do? if I turn this knob ". no time for that , get to the point. Good job
Great video... I've been working with Logic Pro X for a few years now and even I got something out of the video. For everyone confused about the H button. It doesn't show up on its own. You have to press H on your keyboard.
Despite a plethora of UA-cam Logic tutorials, i keep coming back to this. Only been using Logic for just over a year - but feel i have gained a decade's worth of wisdom due to people like James Wiltshire, who seem happy to share tips and experiences that's taken them years to master.
Watched these videos in 2015 when i just started using Logic now i am watching them in 2019 and now everything makes sense ... this is one of the best videos online i swear !!!
It's so much fun - especially when you throw something like a drum break in , chop by transient markers, then convert to sampler patch- then shove the resulting .exs instrument into ultrabeat for some additional juice ... Hopefully EXS and Other bits getting a graphics upgrade soon !
+F9 Audio Hi love your tutorials and music, you Freemasons;) could you possibly go into detail about how you pick basslines to layer what sounds you may look for and how to process the individual parts to get a big cohesive sound? Thanks:)
Oh my god. This was so good. Everything about it. True secrets that will make me soooo much better. Explained quick and concise, easy to understand. Perfect, thank you!
+Paul Whitwam the internal plugin set is literally incredible .. Alchemy is a one of the most powerful Synths I've ever seen ! check this first tip in this video ua-cam.com/video/7fRckcC5tkw/v-deo.html
Easily one of the best Logic X Tips tutorial ever ! Please keep them coming... Please do one on creating a beat (with some explanation) and song structure and arrangement. Am yet to find a good one. People would be happy to pay for download !
Honored Taddow .. Thank you for the comment we're so happy with the response to this vid ... We've compiled a load of the tut video's I've done on the F9 Blog here : www.f9-audio.com/blogs/tutorials .. There's a great 3 parter on vocal remixing and some of the bigger shoots we've really enjoyed with Point Blank ..
Thank you sir, As a newbie to Logic, finding this video, and the latest 10.2 update as convinced me I did buy a top DAW after all. Thank you for making it clear to understand in your video.
F9 Audio Amazing!, Looking forward to that man, Ive subscribed to your Channel and site, Finding the new Alchemy synth awesome though Ive only experimented with bits, so yeah man, looking forward to see what true musicians/sound producers make of it..Cheers man..Happy days..Nice one.
I just found this video and it is amazing! There were a ton of effects I've attempted and were unsuccessful with recreating. This video pulled them out front
Thank you so much, great video. I'm French and many times, in English video, I can't anderstand verry well because of accent. Here it is not the case, I anderstand verry well, but also because you do not use complicated words to explain. Also, I like the way you go directly to the goal, not long explanations of the tool we don't need. So thank you again, I leared too much things.
+Henri Di Cristo Thank you for the kind words Henri - Thats excetly what we want to create at F9 As i have also had to sit through 30 min tutorials for one simple idea that should be just a 10 min video !
+F9 Audio Thanks for your reply,. I'm happy you had be frustated the same of me with 1 minute video with 9 minutes to explain what they will show and 1 minutes to realy show. Sorry for my English, I hope you anderstood. So I enjoy and wait for new video from you about Logic Pro x
Nice vid! The magnifying glass and bypass title bar were good touches. I might recommend using a pop filter on your mic, and if you are, perhaps move the mic a few inches away, but you're definitely looking and sounding first rate. Definitely subbing and will watch the rest.
Thank you Rob ... There will be plenty more - We were hoping to get more out this year but I have a 13 month old daughter so time is tight as you can imagine but just starting to calm down a little so watch this space - James
Dear James, thank your kind reply. I want to congratulate you with your daughter ! I know exactly what you mean being a daddy of 2 sons myself :0). Keep up your great work at F9. Warm Regards from Holland.
You have awesome tips on this channel. I’ve gotten new inspiration for an old track that may get it over the finish line afte 3 years of ”it’s not quite right yet” constipation. The only problem I can see in these videos is that they are rather long and you have ”too many” tips in one video. I’d suggest you slice them up, one tip max two per video and reupload and setup a playlist for these. I think that might get more views and attention from viewers that just want to grab that one bit of info. Good work otherwise and thank you!
thank you so much!! i just found this and you showed me things that I've always wanted to do but didn't quite know how to as well as you did... gonna be a kid in a candy store during my next track thanks to this video!! seriously, thank you so much for sharing your insight.
although I knew most of this, if I hadn't I am sure you would have enlightened me as you explain things very well ...many similar videos are not made by good teachers..it's knack..and you've got it
Awesome in every way. Nice fast moving pace, keeps it from being tedious. I learned a lot in a very short time. Already made User Defaults out of a couple of the tips! Thanks from Nashville! We may be country and more acoustic/organic, but all these tips help in any kind of production I suspect.
Bloody brilliant. One of the best Logic tutorials ever. Some advice will leave you a lot more educated and amazed in things you overlooked. Other tips are unorthodox, or counter-intuitive, but highly relevant and effective. It's true: You can't afford to miss this. Perhaps I should have made them MY secret weapons.
I completely agree with Daz Dee. A real master in Logic and an instructor like hardly one else. Great, great, great! But now the problem: I‘m by far not on that level, neither as a musician nor as a Logic user. But this can help to improve a little as I get more and more ideas. Nevertheless it’s a stage that I can hardly ever climb. It’s mind-blowing, awesome, incredible!
i serious think the f9 audio is the best thing happened to this community...its just on another level than other tutorials or samples....
