Fun fact Habie: The devs themselves have talked about VR support for the game for a long time and recently a developer made a statement saying they plan to use OpenXR as their base to allow for the most compatibility possible. VR is in their minds for sure for the future. I believe in 2019 they partnered with a company known for making Console ports/VR support as well.
I still don't expect any sort of VR support for another 2-5 years, but it'll come along eventually.. The game itself is basically a perfect base with all the intractability down to pressing buttons or pulling levels for elevators, doors, storage, ship systems and so on. As is always stated, Star Citizen is constantly developed with future hardware in mind.. or more accurately, its being made for future hardware

9:49 Yeah, absolutely. Going from planetside-apartments (where you spawn the first time) to space is at minimum a 10-15 minute process, and that's if you know exactly where to go. Take an elevator out of the apartments, navigate the downtown area to the tram, wait for the tram if it isn't there, ride the tram to the spaceport, elevator ride, request ship, elevator ride, get in ship and turn on systems, comm the spaceport to open the hangar doors, fly up 10 km. Objective one when you start the game is to set your respawn at an orbital station, which makes it more like a 2-3 minute process.

It blends so many gameplay types and gameplay loops so flawlessly, as well as plenty of new technology like persistence which take up most of their time. This game has the most potential I have ever seen in any game ever. What they have already done is ground breaking even if it isn’t polished yet. All this to say, that I don’t know what they do with their time, but I doubt they are just slacking off. They’ve got a lot of things to make, a campaign and lots of technology that they have to finalize before they can start developing any gameplay i these areas. We may be just over the horizon, however. They have said that they are almost done with the technology needed to start making the game. Persistence is in an extended testing phase and from what we’ve seen it works really well.

I’m really glad you played this. This has been one of my favorite games for about a year. Yes the game is full of glitches and lacks content, but I don’t think anyone truly likes the game at the moment. It has its moments, but the reason that we keep coming back is the potential that this game has. If you look into some of the plans, and the ground work already created you can see the immense potential that this game poses. For me the most exciting aspects is fully utilized multi crew, persistence, fully modeled ship interiors, and the amount of planets and systems planned. These are some of the most ambitious ideas that really no other space rpg does. This game is an analog for life and from what we have it works perfectly (when it actually works, but all the concepts and goals are there). If you have not played star citizen, and you are turned off by all the controversy, namely the seemingly predatory monetization, and all the glitches, I still recommend you try it out, it’s free at certain times in the year. If can put some time into getting in your ship and getting into orbit, then when you hop out into EVA and turn around to look at the fully explorable planet you just came from, trust me you’ll be hooked. It’s an alpha so be patient and you might just have some fun.

btw, to get better responses and translations of your facial expressions to your in-game character, use a camera with high fps, so one with at least 60fps or more and also have a well lit room, especially for your face so that the software can capture your expressions. you might also want to try and speak slower and enunciate your words more as that helps. i also recommend keybinding the FOIP (Face Over Internet Protocol) calibration key so that when it gets borked, you can quickly re-calibrate it and get back to the facial goodness. also, note that it struggles to capture some expressions with glasses and beards, so keep that in mind.

only 2 hours to buy a hotdog? ngl thats good time. literally took me 70 tries to take off for the first time without ending up in a fireball. im not even joking, when i first played i didnt get off of ArcCorp until day 3 of playing lmao. but once you get the hang of it all, its amazing.
literally my favourite moment in this game was sitting 800m outside of a PVP event location with a sniper rifle and feeding intel to my group. only got 2 kills and was evaporated by a botched bomb drop from one of our pilots, but the level of immersion this game has and the amount of freedom this game has is insane.
    10/10 would recommend.
also for anyone new to the game, go to the Star Citizen spectrum (either website or via the launcher) and you can find experienced players through the guide system. it's 100% free, and guides will list their proficient skills (source: im a guide. tho im not actually sure how it works from the side of looking for a guide tho)

I was a skeptic until I tried a free flight, I'm now concierge a few years later.
It's a game that if you have the patience to work through some of the jank and can appreciate immersion in games over gameplay it's hard not to fall in love with Star Citizen and join the hype train. The 10 years and 500mil starts to make sense the deeper you look into what the game currently has, what it had, and what it's trying to be.
I still have some doubts. I'm 32 this year and can only hope that when it does come out I'm healthy enough to play it lol.
