9:49 Yeah, absolutely. Going from planetside-apartments (where you spawn the first time) to space is at minimum a 10-15 minute process, and that's if you know exactly where to go. Objective one when you start the game is to set your respawn at an orbital station, which makes it more like a 2-3 minute process.

@@TheCatinator2 Ehhh... given how long it took the community to add multiplayer to Skyrim, I doubt it would be less than a year. I'm sure the community would make a lot of cool stuff in a year, but getting things like PES ironed out and working with SSOCS for implementation of static and later dynamic server meshing is something only specialist engineers could pull off.And without that tech, a community-developed Star Citizen woiuld never actually become a playable MMO.
haha, this was quite entertaining. welcome to The 'Verse O7 btw, to get better responses and translations of your facial expressions to your in-game character, use a camera with high fps, so one with at least 60fps or more and also have a well lit room, especially for your face so that the software can capture your expressions. you might also want to try and speak slower and enunciate your words more as that helps. i also recommend keybinding the FOIP (Face Over Internet Protocol) calibration key so that when it gets borked, you can quickly re-calibrate it and get back to the facial goodness. also, note that it struggles to capture some expressions with glasses and beards, so keep that in mind. looking forward to seeing more of your Star Citizen gameplay.
I'm still surprised that we've not seen anything of Habbie messing around in VRChat yet. Though honestly, the regular VR gaming scene does kind of need the exposure. VRC has almost as many active players as all other VR titles on Steam combined, so it's good to show the other stuff.

Not really dividing if you dont know anything about it but try to pretend you do
I watch this video once every couple of months just to cry-laugh at the part with Habie's talking corpse.
I highly recommend you guys keep playing, they are actively working on taking out all the jankyness. Super huge and immersive game
I actualy burst out laughing when mike's arm went under your head and you were laughing. I just cannot.
"it would require a computer the size of a small children's hospital" LOOOL
haha, this was quite entertaining. welcome to The 'Verse O7
btw, to get better responses and translations of your facial expressions to your in-game character, use a camera with high fps, so one with at least 60fps or more and also have a well lit room, especially for your face so that the software can capture your expressions. you might also want to try and speak slower and enunciate your words more as that helps. i also recommend keybinding the FOIP (Face Over Internet Protocol) calibration key so that when it gets borked, you can quickly re-calibrate it and get back to the facial goodness. also, note that it struggles to capture some expressions with glasses and beards, so keep that in mind.
looking forward to seeing more of your Star Citizen gameplay.
Lmao the timing. I bought this game yesterday and I'm hooked. Migrated from Elite: Dangerous and oh boy there's a lot to learn again.
The face tracking while you two were on the ground had me absolutely dying. Thanks for that lol.
Just wait until Habie discovers face tracking in VR, his mind is going to be blown even more
I'm still surprised that we've not seen anything of Habbie messing around in VRChat yet. Though honestly, the regular VR gaming scene does kind of need the exposure. VRC has almost as many active players as all other VR titles on Steam combined, so it's good to show the other stuff.
@@UnknownSquid vrchat is only for edgy antisocial furry teens. Cringe.

9:15 and onward made me laugh harder than anything has since I was a little kid. Holy shit Habie. I'm coming back to this one on rainy days
6:34 This is the kind of humor that makes me almost break a rib laughing. You just watch something like this happen, and everyone is just quietly laughing their asses off which trying to comprehend what just happened
I' ve been playing for six month now. I saw a lot of videos on Star Citizen. Yours is by far the funniest and brutally honest description of Star Citizen. Thanks for making me laugh as hard as you did, I really could remember the feeling of just bursting in to laughter when exploding and having to start again from a hospital. Great Video!
THANK GOD HE FINALLY PLAYED MY FAVORITE GAME
I'm so sorry for your loss.

"We're not in space, we're on a planet." It just so happens that planet is in space. Which means you are in space.
I've been obsessed with watching this game fore half a year now. I'd love to see more content on it. (PS: the devs did say they would attempt to get vr working)
haha XD maybe on a future computer in around 50 years or soo XD

as someone who has also recently got star citizen it a game where you can do anything and that why i love it
This wasn’t the game I was expecting this weekend
Holy crap I nearly peed myself too. The faces where HILARIOUS!!
This is even better than a face reveal
Dude i've owned this game for YEARS and was never able to truly get into it until the past few months bc I upgraded my PC and got an SSD. I finally got people on board to play it with me too and my God its a dream game. And a video on it from you is a dream video. So glad you love it
One of your best videos. The incapacitated scene caused me to reinstall SC while forcefully exhaling through my nose
"Maybe the jankieness will go away..."
No one tell him, don't ruin his innocence.
That aside great video. Star Citizen might never meet its goals but its a pioneer in some immersion tech and I think it will inspire many devs in the future if not already.
Yeah people call it a scam, I call it a tradeoff where the devs get rich, and world gets some nice advancements in game tech
"We played on our first night.. for two hours /straight/"
Bro. Rookie numbers. You said that like I don't casually drop 2 hours on just making my character in Nioh 2 alone.
The face tracking is so funny
When he said I started at 20 17 I thought it was the beginning of a 6 year install.
This game is something else. I don't know if I hate it or love it.
It's fun watching clips of it but that's it.
@@jonathaningram8157 I think it's fun to play, the ship interiors and space combat are really well done, and planet surfaces make E:D look like roblox in comparison. Multiplayer is also a lot more prevalent in SC, I've had way more random interactions with other players in SC than I have had in E:D. But the game is definitely janky, FPS combat is borderline broken sometimes
why not both!
@@jonathaningram8157 yep agree .. after 7 years earning this game i rather watch other people expierencing all the bugs that never got fixed and i don't want to go trow anymore XD
The game is designed for emergent experiences, often people who don't have friends and cant make new ones get salty cos they get bored
But there's no other game that even comes close
Man I didn’t see this coming. I’ve been a longtime supporter of this project, glad you had fun playing; The game has its quirks & a learning curve but there really isn’t anything else on the market like it. Can’t wait to see more SC content from you Habie. O7
Never thought I'd see you play this! You'll love the next patch coming out, it's the biggest and coolest patch we've had in years
essential to improve FOIP:
- good light on your face
- calibrate the VOIP
- camera with good resolution and not too far away. a bridge cam with a little zoom lens on your face should work the best
Started watching not long ago can’t get enough good videos bro
I love how hard hes stuck to the smoothbrain shoutouts. I remember when he was first even considering setting up members and it was only for emotes anyway. One of my fav creators and has been for a while. So glad u found ur footing creating content habie and im sure itll only get better and better.
This. Is. Amazing.
Heads up for newbies; grab a heal gun from a hospital terminal before you leave the port. You can use it to heal yourself/teammates and revive. Also the biggest update in years (3.18) should be coming out soon and it’ll introduce a whole new part of the solar system.
I've been falling in love with your channel at the same time that I've been falling in love with Star Citizen, so imagine my excitement when I see this drop today. I'll see you Tuesday! It'll be my first stream too! 💖
I’m so glad you found this game, you started on the same planet as me and I found the game only last year so I get how you feel. I love this game so much and if you ever need a guide who also isn’t fully sure what he’s doing then I’d be more than happy
Habies uploads got my feet swinging
Love to see more creators getting involved in the project and making new content! Welcome to the verse!
A LOT of the jankiness will go away as optimization improves, but also the next patch (3.18) is a huge performance improvement.
10:00 is literally the peak of gaming immersion poor homie was PARCHED
Every upload gets me unreasonably hyped. I couldn’t find my left over chicken nuggies so thank you for giving me the boost i needed.
only 2 hours to buy a hotdog? ngl thats good time. literally took me 70 tries to take off for the first time without ending up in a fireball. im not even joking, when i first played i didnt get off of ArcCorp until day 3 of playing lmao. but once you get the hang of it all, its amazing.
literally my favourite moment in this game was sitting 800m outside of a PVP event location with a sniper rifle and feeding intel to my group. only got 2 kills and was evaporated by a botched bomb drop from one of our pilots, but the level of immersion this game has and the amount of freedom this game has is insane.
10/10 would recommend.
also for anyone new to the game, go to the Star Citizen spectrum (either website or via the launcher) and you can find experienced players through the guide system. it's 100% free, and guides will list their proficient skills (source: im a guide. tho im not actually sure how it works from the side of looking for a guide tho)
Yeah it took me a LONG time to actually get anything done. The first few days I couldn't even get out of the hangar without crashing. I think it took me a good two weeks to finally understand how to play and complete a mission successfully... without fail.
@@billywashere6965 absolutely. this is why i became a guide. when i started, i had no clue what or how to do anything. and so now i give back to the amazing community by being available as a guide whenever i play
Habie playing SC made my day. Hope there’s more of this content to come!

That's where Chris knows the deal, every studio is going to have to come to CIG to stay on the board
The first true next Gen game in a generation...
Imagine Hell let loose but you could see the terror of your allies as a bombing run creeps towards you. The ferocity in the enemy as they breach a room with a flamethrower. The “I just shit myself” look as enemies poke around a corner to stare down the barrel of your tank.
Oh it’d be so *Immersive*
Honestly I’m gonna shoot my shot Habie, if you join an organization it is a lot of fun. Don’t know if you or anyone else here is interested but I’m part of an organization called Midnight Defense Force and we’re recruiting all the time. We’re on discord so I can try and bring anyone in who’s interested! Glad you finally checked out this game!
Star citizen is a mess but it’s also one of the best games I’ve played like, it’s slow but it’s going places no other game has
I was a skeptic until I tried a free flight, I'm now concierge a few years later.
It's a game that if you have the patience to work through some of the jank and can appreciate immersion in games over gameplay it's hard not to fall in love with Star Citizen and join the hype train. The 10 years and 500mil starts to make sense the deeper you look into what the game currently has, what it had, and what it's trying to be.
I still have some doubts. I'm 32 this year and can only hope that when it does come out I'm healthy enough to play it lol.
Yep, I joined last year, became Concierge I think before the year ended. It's the only game trying to do what it's trying to do, and the stuff coming down the pipeline is absolutely epic, so I'm going to keep dumping money into this project to help it any way that I can.
the face tracking makes for some of the funniest gameplay i swear
I'm in the SC since 2013....always nice for me to see newcomer and experience there wounder. You bring me tears in my face when you both hug each other dead on the ground.🤣🤣🤣
Habie was hands down made to play this game
this is the crossover I never knew I needed. I cannot express how genuinely happy this has made me, and I can't wait for more
Habie's laugh brings so much joy. Habie for president or something.
I love watching videos from people who are just getting into the game. I've been in since (basically) the beginning. I look forwards to seeing more Star Citizen videos from you!
Was a wonderful stream, and god this is even more funny, thanks for making me violently exhale through my nose with every video you do.
I actually have tutorials to help setup VR for Star Citizen, and am in contact with the Devs that have stated its their goal to give internal VR eventually!! Its incredible what the future holds for all of us!
YOOOO LETS GO W HABIE
I have been waiting for you to play this game since I found your channel, it was wonderful.

I'm so friggin stoked you are playing this. Even if it's just for a bit I think everyone should experience this game. It's only getting better
This game might be a grind, but it's very fun. I'd recommend it to everyone, and I'd love to help anyone that plays this game and needs help. I'd like to say that I know how to play this game.
This is a cry for other people to play with please I need people to watch me shank the dudes from ninetails

People need to understand, 500 mil is the budget of average big triple A games. And star citizen has the scope of multiple of those combined.
This. Technically it's $250 million per game ('cause they're making two).
