Counselor Hears - Slipknot - Duality - Old Guy Reaction

- This counselor has never heard Slipknot. In fact, he didn't even realize that it was heavy metal until I told him. So, the song Duality was perfectly fitting for this guest. He was so good. Positive and informative....what a great guest. I loved his analogy to the slipknot at the end. That you can slip in or out....what a great line...super fun.

One thing I'd advise massively with all your videos. Have the lyrics there... actually understanding what you hear for the first time will change everything about your experience. You'll relate to it so much more. Big love old guys. I'm not quite there but I am getting there 😂

Women love metal too! I'm 50 and been a die hard metal fan since forever. My obsession started with KISS when I was 4, literally. My siblings are 13, 11 and 10 years older than me, so I was born listening to rock music. I eventually found heavier and faster bands over the years- at 13 I discovered Metallica, 14 it was Slayer and so on. 1999 I first heard Slipknot and was floored when I heard them!!! Been Maggot ever since....I love extreme metal too- Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Obituary and the awesome oddball GWAR!! So many bands....so yes we are a minority in the scene but we are here! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

You aren't nearly the minority you once were! I can't tell you how many women/girls I have seen in the pit and crowd-surfing at the festivals I have been to the past few years!

There are some heavy metal covers of pop songs. I might have to send you some links. There's a good one of rihannas diamonds in the sky, I remember that. There were some songs where I only realised that the songwriting was actually pretty good, because of metal covers.

Metal has not always something todo with aggression. A band that comes to my mind is HIM. Check them out, they call it Love-Metal.
Metal, in general, gives us a shot of adrenaline. It is something about the guitars sound and the fast cadence of the beat.
In sports, we hear it alot. I guess adrenaline is not the same as aggression...but adrenaline gives me more personal aggression to conquer the fear or anxiety I have in doing something risky. If that makes sense. That is my take. I can't wait to listen to "love metal" to see how it makes me feel. Thank you for the awesome comment.
Also for this music video, they paid a fan 50k to use their house and destroy it for the music video, the damage was more than $50k but totally worth it, your forever a legend to hundreds of millions of people!

I'd love to see more bands like Kitty back in the day, executives are hunting K Pop now. Money goes to popular. Cory can play with anyone, who he picks is rock solid.
They legit destroyed the house. It was going to be demolished per the home owner, so they took advantage of the situation and save the owner some money.

Someone is going to comment about doing Wait And Bleed so im going to tell you DO NOT do the music video one. Thats the radio mix, which is toned down a TON. Listen to the Album recording. Its the better version and the way the song is supposed to sound in my opinion.

There are multiple women in the video. Outnumbered by men but yeah, there are women..
