Wow this was an older video. We don't even have the 3020 anymore. We usually clean up the tractors at the end of the season. You know how it goes when they are being worked all the time
That huge spidwr you crawled into on the 3010 had my skin crawling i think it was one of those big black and yellow bastards we get here in PA as well huge
I found this gem of yours. Now that it's pretty much winter in Wisconsin now, I changed a silo door and settled in to watch some classic MikeP7810. I always wondered your shifting patterns especially on your 2940 since we have a Waterloo IA version. I see it is pretty much the same but ours being open cab the levers are on the floor. Thanks for showing and sharing. Merry Christmas to you and all of your family.

I was just going back through older videos. As a newer subscriber I love seeing the equipment you have. You guys must do a pretty decent job of maintenance on those machines, given the age and hours. Great video!
Every farm I ever worked on had at least 1 3020 or 4020, lol. They were like the Energizer bunny- they kept going and going and... Last farm, we used it on the grinder/mixer, and the silo blower. (4020) That tractor had a hell of a bellow when you worked it hard!
Mike you have some real nice equipment I’m glad you keep those older tractors in tip top shape BTW I have a 7610 2wd that is on a mixer wagon and I tell you I love the 10 series I’m working on getting rid of my 7400 for a 7810 4wd those are great tractors
Thanks Joe. This is an old video so the only one we don't have anymore is the 3020, however, I got the 3010 up and running so thats good. It broke my heart to have it sitting there like that
I've gotta get up there, lol. If you're going to replace the seat on the 3010, do yourself a favor and get the newer style seat from Shoup, that and the upgraded steps really made a world of difference on my 3010
My first tractor I drove was the 3010. Then I'd do some small jobs with the 3020 and worked my way up to the 2940. I knew I got an important field job when I got to use the 4055!
Brenda Bird thank you! I rarely use the 4040 because it's on the spreader most of the time. I asked my brother and he said it was an 82. Good call on the year!
mikep7810 makes sense my grandpa used his 4040 to chop when he chopped at his place and the 4230 went on the blower and at my great grandpas place the 4230 chopped and the 4040 blew my grandpa was taller so he could see off the 4040 better compared to my great grandpa them ole 4040’s and 4230’s don’t care about no blower neither! Do you have any quad ranges?
Yes the 4040 has the quad range. We use to chop with the 4055 when we had a new Holland 900. I remember when I was a kid and my dad chopped with the 2940 and used the 3020 to haul the wagons. Times have definitely changed!
7810s are nice, we have one and we mow cotton and corn stalks with it, irrigate with it and put fertilizer our with it and pull a rotary harrow with it

Noel Stevenson good catch on the sticker. There is an empire tractor in Cortland we deal with. If I'm not mistaken I think our discbine came from the Batavia shop.

I don't know what you mean about Verizon? We use our tractors, so they get dirty. I'm not gonna shine up the tractors to make a UA-cam video. Do you expect me to pressure wash the tractor every night I get out of the field? Once we are done using a tractor for a while we will clean it up.
