Everyone Else vs Neo Con Destiny. Admit it, you are basically a neo con. Eventually you will find that you are agreeing with Lindsey Graham on foreign policty. lulz.
Destiny your wrong about Trump, yes he rich, but he got that way by working with a lot of ordinary people his connection with builders and electrical engineers ect ect has given him a unique insight into everyday people. He often talks about it if you ever cared to listen.
He has ifent given money to people to pay off their houses, he has often just handed over cash to regular folk. He remembers everyone and talks to anyone, he is not a snob, he hates the elites and never socialises with them because he knows they are trying to screw the little guy. He just wants people working and doing well. You're very cynical about him. Open your eyes just a bit and you will see what we all see a man who has a position in life that can change things for so many. He actually wants to use his position of power for good. That's why we love him.
Also nobody else has the power to craft deals like him. His peace deal with the middle east is INCREDIBLE and deserves a Noble Peace Prize. Look into the Abraham Accords peace deal to understand.
Then look around a ask who else could do that?
Nobody only Trump Yeah the most unlikely person actually is the one.
liberals: “wow, you ever notice how the far left and the far right are the same”

Just say Spiderman pointing meme 😅
Schrödinger's Liberal - too extreme for either side yet vital to both extremes to have any relevance in any discourse.
And funnily enough, none of these things are true. Everything isn’t everything, how crazy.
The shortened version of the talking points:
1. People will selectively believe others, so long as it benefits them.
2. People will intentionally be ignorant to obvious claims and truths, so long as it benefits them.
3. People will use any opposition of their beliefs as a reason why their belief is correct.
4. People who have beliefs often have additional beliefs that attach onto them, simply by being in an adjacent space.
5. People assume that because two or more things can be in the same boat, that there is no reason to understand why they are, and therefore assume any opposition of one is also the opposition of the other.
6. There is no benefit to being truthful, unless that truth actually supports your claim, and cannot be disputed.
TL;DR
People believe what they want to believe and will use any and every defense mechanism to avoid being challenged on them.
From my favorite book series as a kid:
"Wizard's First Rule: people are stupid." Richard and Kahlan frowned even more. "People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People's heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool."
Sounds like Destiny in a nutshell
@@EnderPearlRs what is the name of that book?
Funny enough, everyone Destiny debates does these points. Like, they always exclude info, truths, that Destiny has to add back in...
Only for them to say Destiny is cherry picking ( By adding context??? ) or is bringing up random factoids, but NEVER NEVER NEVER telling why the added context doesn't work

It’s impossible for some to realize that playing for one team your entire life is fucking stupid. You grow and change, your priorities do as well, but evidently for some folks once you vote for one party you’re tied to them forever lol
@@Senpatriarch sure but what are options in two party system realistically because debating against your team only helps the other side you like worse win so doesn’t seem very helpful to hurt your team. And like now it seems like the stakes are pretty high in terms of getting your team to win. Like as much a don’t like Biden what’s the point of constantly saying how he is wrong when I think Trump will be 1000 times worse. @@ThySheepie Listen, maybe it's because I started getting into politics when I was 13 (late 2009) so I was quite young and didn't notice as much, but I feel like the left-wing (I am a liberal left-winger, by the way) was, overall, a lot cooler and smarter back in 2010 and before. It seems like around the time that the SJW movement started taking off from the early 2010s onward, things got a lot more fragmented and split off in the left-wing; a lot more of them became these crazy types who were allergic to facts and who were really focused on language policing above all else, abandoning the general pro-free speech sentiment of the left up until that point. What I'm wondering is: maybe there was always this split in the left, even in the 2000s and so on, but it was just a lot quieter then because being PC was a lot less of a prevailing thought and the focus was much more on real issues between the traditional left and traditional right. Though, I dunno... maybe it is just that a lot of people in my age range grew up in a more digital age where things were relatively a lot more comfortable and thought that being PC was the more "progressive" thing to do because it seemed like the next step in the chain of progress to them. This might be a little bit different from what you're talking about, but what you said got me stirring on this.

Couple of my thoughts if anyone cares:
1) There might be a bias with the people Destiny interacts with that these conclusions are based on. These are usually people more convinced in their beliefs than the average person (that might have some healthy level of self-doubt so they don't voice them as much). These are usually people that crave attention more. The unfortunate truth is that the majority of people (that isn't always 100% sure of their beliefs) often thinks that people that talk with more conviction have a reason to do so.
2) In addition to social incentives, personal psychology plays a huge part in dictating beliefs. Now, more than ever, people can just go online and find the social group that "suits them". There's a reason some people gravitate towards red-pill stuff as there their uncomfortable feelings about what masculinity means don't get activated. For attention craving people this might off course come off as social incentives as their personal psychology is designed to seek social validation.
3) People don't believe what makes them feel good, people believe what aligns with how they feel. The difference, for example, is if someone has low self worth, they're more likely to believe someone telling them they're bad even when they're not because it aligns with how they feel.
I think the 3rd point is just a semantics difference. You and Destiny are both referring to the same thing. If someone believes they're a POS, someone calling them that will make them feel "good".
On the topic of doomer pill, I would clarify that it isn’t always as simple as Destiny makes it seem. It’s not always an easy and comfortable belief that externalises blame. I was diagnosed with stage 4 nerve cancer at 5 years old, I’m now 25 and still have cancer to this day. Because of the cancer and treatment my body is a mess. I’m male, 5.4’, 35kg, look like a 14 year old with anorexia, and am missing a ton of teeth due to chemo (chemo rots the teeth really bad, most childhood cancer patients lose all their teeth by age 30). Not only that, but I also can barely walk due to back pain and suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome (Some may remember Destiny talked about it a while ago when speaking about the situation with the Physics Girl, basically it’s a huge issue that destroys your life). So because of all these issues I spend all my time locked away in my room, I’ve gone years at a time without talking to anyone but my immediate family. So given my situation I am extremely doomer pilled about my life, especially when it comes to relationships. It’s really hard to accept since the only thing I really wanted in life was to find a partner, but I can’t really do that when there is literally no upside to dating me and I can’t really get past women thinking it’d be illegal to date me. So I’ve basically given up on finding a partner and just have to accept I’ll spend my entire life alone in my room. What’s worse is watch a lot of rom-com stuff so I’m constantly reminded how hopeless my situation is. It’s a guilty pleasure of mine, a way to at least get a taste of what a relationship would be like, even if unrealistic most of the time. Sad as hell, I know…
So I don’t think there is anything comfortable about this doomer pilled belief of mine, I think it’s just being realistic. I also don’t externalise the blame onto women, I don’t blame them in the slightest. I’ve often said I wouldn’t want to date a girl with cancer, though my reasons are just because I think it’d be a bad idea for the relationship having two unreliable people date. For the sake of the relationship, I feel at least one person needs to be physically healthy enough to live daily life normally. So I don’t blame women, I totally get why they wouldn’t give me a second look, hell you can hardly say they give me one look considering they don’t even see me as an adult. When the biggest question I get asked in public is “What grade are you in?” which when I explain I’m 25 is followed by my most hated comment “Well you’ll be glad when you are 30” (I’ve been told that my entire life, and I constantly think “yeah, I’m sure I’ll be glad to be isolated and alone till I’m 30 and still look like a minor at age 30 basically guaranteeing I’ll be alone my whole life. Sounds like a great time…”) so I can’t exactly expect girls to look my way given my situation. More than anything even if I found someone willing to date me, I would feel so guilty creating an emotional connection with someone when I’m probably gonna die young. I don’t wanna bring someone nice enough to date me into the misery of my life. So yeah, I’m about as doomer pilled as it gets, nothing easy or comfortable about it.
Ngl, it’s hard when you were at one pole not to pendulum swing into the other, halting your own momentum when it was your own thought process that brought you to the extreme in the first place is a struggle for sure. The Chernobyl quote is real

Wild Idea for Destiny: Gaza Pride Month
Would anyone recommend the program Destiny is using for structuring thoughts and ideas? I feel like Microsoft Word isn’t cutting it anymore
If you know how to write Markdown, then you'll like it. Obsidian is more of a barebones program that is highly customizable, which is opposite to MS Word. Obsidian has a graph view of all your notes that is supposed to make you see connections between them, but I personally think it's more of a gimmick. The best thing about Obsidian is that it doesn't have any of the cloud/telemetry silicon valley bullshit, and everything runs locally (you can also sync notes if you want). Anything can be done in Obsidian if you have enough time. If you hate slow starts, then you may hate Obsidian. Just give it a try and see how it goes.
I switched from MS Word to Obsidian because I felt like I wasted too much time (dealing with indentations, auto-formatting, new pages, margins, etc.) trying to use it as a note-taking app when it was more of an A4 paper writer. Also, unlike Obsidian, Word can't cross-reference notes or structure notes in folders/projects. I still miss easily moving an image anywhere on the page and wrapping text in MS Word, though.
It’s Obsidian.
I don’t use it but heard it’s good.
Is there anyway to access destiny's research compilations?
The video title describes humanity on a planetary scale the last 10 years.
isn't this exactly what happened in the weimarer republik?
yes. The center parties lost lots of support over the financial crisis, with both the KPD and the NSDAP got a lot of growth. In the end, the nazis grew faster and harder than the communist party, so they seized power earlier.
@Drigallski
Nice rewritng of history.
@@HistoricaHungarica huh
what exactly is rewriting of this
you know that the KPD went from just 2% in 1920 to 17% in the second election of 1932, right?
the NSDAP had a pretty good start in 1924, but then fell down to 2,6% in 1928. They only exploded in numbers after the financial crisis.
And all the center parties (SPD, DDP, Zentrum, USPD) lost massive numbers of votes. Everything is literally documented on the homepage of the german Bundestag.
The only thing with trust in what a person/organisation says being based on the belief system is that they hold a strong opinion of what the organisation or person is pushing so when they say something outside of the perceived agenda, the assumption is that they have had to back down from what they wish they could say as there is overwhelming evidence that couldn't be brushed aside.

Now knowing what cognitive dissonance is, I think I've subconsciously been reinterpreting and reforming my personal worldview with the goal of eliminating the feeling of cognitive dissonance. I've started to settle in on a fundamental assumption about the world, that, in practical terms, everything in life is contextual. Just saying that is a paradox, but going through life seeing things through that baseline assumption has been very good thus far at allowing for a great variety of different seemingly disconnected experiences and facts about life to coexist in my worldview. Love these meta analysis vods on applied beliefs.
That was a nice conversation.

This “transcendental entity” sounds like an archetype (Carl Jung concept).
An idea that a collective unconscious thought links all humans and allows all humans to understand certain concepts, “archetypes” as he’d call them.
Yeah JP rambles about the jungian archetypes… man psychoanalysis still hasn’t got any real empirical evidence does it?
Psychoanalysis has given us some of the most incredible discoveries about the unconscious and the mechanisms that we use to deceive ourselves or avoid our deeper issues. There’s quite a bit of evidence supporting psychoanalysis, but when behaviorism came to the scene, people gravitated toward it because, in my opinion, behaviorism allows you to neglect all uncomfortable aspects about yourself, letting you deluded yourself out of thinking there is a “why” behind your behavior. Psychoanalysis is quite honestly fantastic
@@DavidJones-ot8qu genomic expression studies offer a weird "why" too, im not super well read in the field but people are trying to link genetic expression, at the specific genome level, with actions and even personality types of the big 5. beliefs to some secondary connections, based on big 5 quantitative models, are formed on behavior and group affiliations. But yes all of these socialization models and
Alex jones was right about Bohemian Grove doesn't mean he's right about everything. Psychoanalysis has adapted a lot of its foundational assumptions about cognition to growing research, unlike Mr jones, while also being the foundational schools and theories under which the hypotheses for these experiments were conducted to some degree in the past.
@@justsomedude77 There is almost no real evidence that genetics at all influence our personalities and behaviors. If you would read into this, this link is almost always suggested because parents and their children, or even siblings will share genes and also (sometimes, which kinda already defeats this concept) share behaviors, but this could be explained to a higher degree of satisfaction through the consideration of socialization: a parent will influence their children to conform to their temperament. Again, there's is essentially 0 evidence for genes driving our personalities and behaviors.
You are right that psychoanalysis has adapted to current research, which is why current psychoanalysis is much better than the outdated Freudian analysis. Erich Fromm is pretty excellent, in my opinion. He is, I would argue, the greatest psychologist we have ever experienced (documented)
@@DavidJones-ot8qu that’s not even close to what any monozygotic twin studies have found. MZ twin studies link pretty strongly genetics and personality, which creates a feedback loop activated genes impact personality which determines situations that activate other parts of the genome. But generally the evidence for genetics trends toward the intersection of socialization activating specific genetics, or more frequently found differences in genetic activation between monozygotic twins.

Most cringe thing in all of this is destiny thinking this is some 200iq thought and writing it as he discovered the truth. The fact is that people, everyone destiny describes probably does every mental check he is doing, but their core is so misaligned that both will never agree that theyre both doing the thing. Theres no deeper truth or something new in this, its just destiny trying to make himself more comfortable by acting like he has figured it all out. If youve been here long enough, you would know that he does this after every major drama or fight. He comes out as if he figured (the person or the situation) all out.
This is more obvious by the fact that the “thing” destiny seems to have figured out, always resolves or is related to the past drama.
~31:10 I have found myself being skeptical about something, but when I found the "truth" or came to a conclusion, it actually made me more stressed out. Is that good or effective skepticism? Not saying whether it means I actually came to the truth or not, but that it would mean that I was being unbias in my skepticism? I don't know if i understood that part correctly.

Find one person that 100% fits in one of your constellations..... these people don't exist.
I'm not really interesedted in vindicating destiny but your argument kind of doesn't work.
E.g., if you have 2 people, one is 5 feet tall, the other is 7 feet tall, than the average person is 6 feet tall. But just because the average person doesn't necessarily exist doesn't mean that there isn't truth in that concept.
@@user-vz4gg6cs4lbut Desiny literally states that he can guess 90% of people’s beliefs if they believe in some Trump ones. He’s super biased and trying to use basic human psychology to justify it.
@@user-vz4gg6cs4l Its basically the crux of his theory that if you believe in one part of the constellation you believe it all. There isnt really an average in that scenario.
Yea because you cut it off at 100%. The concept is still usable for understanding what is happening generally in our political discourse today and seems to be logical way to say basically people just vote off vibes and social pressure and don’t always / often actually factually / logically think there way though positions. Its kind of obvious emotions drive a lot of politics and life decisions and that’s not a one sided thing that’s for every person including me
@@jessie6600 to be fair most people I see online on both sides (might be different actually talking to people offline) just seem to be repeating the same talking point and generally have the same beliefs so this makes sense to me. Obviously they have to maintain a platform which is part of social pressure. The whole point is about we don’t logically come to our beliefs. This is why we can’t logic people in believing different things because they didn’t logic themselves into and that for both sides
Everyone is starting to hate leftists.. not liberals.
It’s a nice change of pace. I’ve been someone who’s read people like Harris, Dawkins, and Hitchens for years. Even mentioning these names to leftists would get immediate “islamaphobia” responses.

@@ProtossHyrdaliskYou don't understand what the left is. A logical liberal is really a conservative that hasn't engaged enough with conservative ideas to understand the fallacies they are operating under.
Liberal ideas, lead to leftism. Liberal ideas are based in emotions and not logic.

This one isn't gonna age well. D still treats human politics like its an isolated machine
would you care to elaborate your take?
Destiny’s notes are quite cringe and way less insightful than he thinks
Whats a fun visualisation for the "constalation of beliefs" - we all see stars, however one will see the big dipper, another will see pizzagate. Theres a kernel of truth but the connection of the dots is wildly different.
When I heard transcendental entity, the berserk intro just started repeating in my head
Trump is a 90s liberal. Change my mind.
If you're referring to his personal life with emphasis on his pre 2015 era, YES Trump is definitely a turbo liberal "DeGeN😡" if you're referring to him as a political figure, no he just became the central figurehead of loosely affiliated right wing populist movements, specially those adjacent to paleocons.
It's true. It's politically untenable even among many so called conservatives to oppose that marriage. Obama was openly against gay marriage in 07.
I don't think Trump could even propose the same sort of crime bill that Clinton did. America has moved so far to the left it's unbelievable.
Other than Trump wanting one man to have the power to overthrow an election he lost. Creating a fake elector scheme to ignore the will of the people. Wanting to dedicate resources to mass deportation and wants to let Russia have their way with Ukraine. Making tax cuts for the rich and corporations permanent but temporary for lower and middle class. Has zero interest in protecting the environment for future generations.
He is, he just also has the problem of thinking the election was stolen despite coming up with no evidence and refused to back down... To his own political hindrance
Destiny is an unfortunate case of right message, wrong messenger. I agree with 90% of what he says in this video. His inability to ever be anything other than edgy asf literally pushed people who might have otherwise listened to him away as the one chatter showed with the case of his parents. Literally he just should not say any slurs whatsoever, he shouldn't go into crazy twitter rampages etc. Like when I listen to him he honestly reminds me of some mid twenties guy not the 30+ year old mature adult people expect him to be.
Muh optics
@@LalaWatches yeah, you cant be upset people dont want to adopt your brand of thinking when you do everything in your power to make them not want to listen to you.
Destiny is absolutely clueless. His appeal is in his shameless certainty and grating trollish takes.
@@shizz3907 no body cares to be clean and fake like th Christians. Destiny is doing fine, great even. Cope and cry about it. Not where anyone can see of course since you desperately care so much what others think like you or Destiny are kings 🤡
@@shizz3907 Destiny being passionate about his beliefs isn't bad optics.
Insults, character assassination and constant lying about others and groups who "look bad" in hopes of looking good for the camera does far more harm.
But ok, I suggest going to Hasan's chat if you want that. All he does he worry about optics and he's the biggest scum bag ever. Just say you support the grift and go
Ppl like you are types to pretend tobe supportive of trans and gay ppl for the clout the optics give in passing but know basically nothing while constantly spouting transphobic bullshit and calling actual trans and gay ppl dumb and wrong for standing up to y'all. That's "optics"
"Optics" 😂 what a joke way of saying you don't care about facts and only care about attention and clout. No wonder everyone on the left fail constantly. It's all about looking cool and conformity! Just like the far right except they don't pretend to accept ppl

This is the guy who goes on podcasts to defend Joe Biden
It's easy to defend Biden. He's actually passed legislation for the working class unlike Trump, who is only obsessed with wOkE !!!
What app does Destiny use to take notes???
Maybe Destiny needs to talk to Rand Paul about Co-vid
Destiny getting his assblasted on twitter is funny though, it's funny how quickly his views change when he's not getting praised LOL.
Destiny really can’t take people disliking him lol
What view changed of his?
Can we get some actual political commentary for once instead of just shitting on hasan for the 32,507th time?
U have to actually watch the streams live. The editor is a bum
???? Is this a video about Hasan? Didn’t notice.
1st and only comment 1/10 attempt at pretending to be an impartial viewer
What anti-fanfiction are you writing? Your post seems disconnected from reality or like you don't watch his content.
Have you even seen this video? He talks about group dynamics in politics...
Swap the term happiness for the sense of having control over the immediate and wider environment.
Destiny sounds like hes literally explaining himself.
destiny is gradually turning into bill maher with his smug both-sidesism
Except Steven is generally far better at hedging his opinions when he knows doesn't know the full details of something, and Bill Maher is just a blindly confident douche who runs full speed into walls over and over again making him look like an idiot.
There commonalities that arise from both sides being human and being subject to the same underlying human cognitive biases. The phenotype can look very different even if the underlying cognitive process is similar
He didn't do any both sideism here. He is specifically promoting liberalism over anti liberalism, and is calling out the parts of the political spectrum for their illiberal beliefs and how those beliefs stem from webs of belief that create alternate realities for those people. This is very much taking a side.
@@10kanutt yeah but it's easier to say both sides ism because it stops us from having to engage with anything in a way that makes us think critically. So both sides it is!
Even if he is, what wrong with that?

if you were so smart you wouldn't need to insult people in debates , you always calling people idiots or stupid , a smart person wouldn't resort to name calling
Idk I feel like I’ve seen debate optics swayed by someone coming down hard on a particular point through use of ad homonyms. Not something I like, but I can see its utility when debating in front of a large audience.
You can do both things, be correct, and think the other person is a complete fucking moron. It's possible to walk and chew gum at the same time. I think the term you're looking for is "niceness". Sometimes Steven isn't very nice, oh well, he's generally correct, so that doesn't matter.
@@crabguy34just like what Fillenstein did to destiny.
