I'm not vegan or carnivore.. I cut out bread, grains, and carbs from my diet. I eat mostly meat, but also low carb veggies.. asparagus, carrots, brocolli, cauliflower, cabbage along with dairy/butter. I have lost 60lbs in 6 months. Steadily.. about 3lbs a week. I also drink wine about once a week with or sipping after my meal. I eat once a day.
I have been doing the challenge as far as food, but I have had my flavored perfect keto collagen powder, as I have mentioned before, and by the end of the week, went back to my Bangs. I have had a significant amount of heartburn and pressure/gas in my chest, which I believe is related to my sinuses draining and causing reflux, rather than the diet (it started last week), but that is why I stopped the coffee mid-week. The carbonation in the Bang helps relieve the pressure and I HAVE to have caffeine. Otherwise, I have loved this way of eating. So simple. I am eating twice a day. One meal before work and one meal after. I don't miss the veggies much because I have found my digestion improved without the extra fiber. What I do miss is my avocados, macadamia nuts and chocolate, so that's pretty much all I am adding back. However, I am planning to make those pumpkin donuts (as muffins). BTW, it was so mean to post that recipe right before this challenge. 🤣🤣 I am really excited for your vlog to find out what you thought of carnivore!
Michelle Neilson I read your reply and just wanted to say as a heart patient a lot of women have something going on with their heart but the symptoms are so similar to indigestion. I had major heart failure at 35 years old and I never had a clue it was my heart I thought the pressure was pneumonia. You are probably correct in thinking it is just your sinuses but I wanted to give you a heads up that even young seemingly healthy women can have heart problems they are unaware of. Wishing you much health.
Good video, Nicole. I kept carnivore basic too. On this, the last day of the challenge I only had a coffee with HWC and butter. Just not hungry. But looking forward to regular Keto starting tomorrow! Yay. We did it. By the way, I lost 4 pounds on the #carnivorechallenge so far!
Me and my husband just started the carnivore diet .On Sunday 10 13 19 we stsrted on the keto and we went out of town for 10 days and mess up the keto so we got back home and got back on keto but the weight did come off so. we hope that the cornivore diet works. wish us luck .
I've been carnivore for over 3 1/2 years and Paleo since 2009. Carnivore made a huge difference in my health and well being. My diet consists of 99% Beef (and other ruminants), eggs, butter, and a few medicinal herbs and that's it. No cravings or boredom from the diet whatsoever. I eat just one meal a day that takes about 45 minutes. My blood labs have never been better. I'm lean and strong and never seem to run out of energy.
We have always heard about too much red meat being carcinogenic and causing colon cancer, but I'm seriously doubting it as of late, probably bullshit lies told to us by the same people who made the food pyramid.
@@a-terrible-fate532 You are exactly right. Counting all the bad stuff they put on and in the vegetables and fruits we eat, far out way the meat problem. Meat was never an issue until the 1950s when heart disease was on the rise. They blamed everything on the fat without any knowledge on the subject and by 1980, the USDA came out with a food pyramid. They made everything low fat and low protein. Everything was switched to all carbohydrates. Then the obesity rates shot up quick along with type 2 diabetes. If that doesn’t tell anyone that’s a problem, then they’re the problem.
@@a-terrible-fate532 After 3 weeks I had to quit keto, it gave me a chronic IBS and I never had this before in my life. I am 40yo. As soon as I reintroduced carbs, it stopped. I think I started with the left foot thinking that I could do it cold turkey after a lifetime of eating carbs every day (I mean over 100g carbs at least). The 1st week was fine, then at the 2nd week the GI problems started. Too much pain and bloating after eating anything, usually but not always with diarrhea. At first I thought it was the "keto flu", but it wasn´´ t because the recommended hydration with salts routine wasn´ t making it better. But It all started after I started consuming erythritol, it was like the primary trigger of the chronic IBS. I stopped consuming it and got a bit better, but the random bloating/abdominal pain episodes still kept coming. I would wake up 2AM with bloating and pain, and roll in bed til 5AM and going to the toilet for diarrhea. The last time I woke up with pain and thought "ok dehydration", drank almost 1 liter of water with salts, did not work. So I thought "maybe It wants food", so I had a boiled egg, and decided to have a banana to see if it carbs would solve it, I also had some pecans and peanuts. Man, everything felt like a brick and my stomach got tight and the pain worst. I started having hot flashes and sweating. I had to throw up, but interestingly enough my body kept the banana and egg and threw up only the nuts, what an accomplishment. I thought I would get better after throwing up, but all the abdominal muscles involved in barfing decided to cramp, so I was twisting in bed for at least 5min with extra pain from the cramping. I even went to a cold shower to see if the shock would make better, did for a while... That was the longest and last night I could bear, I had to listen to my body. Next day I had a pure whey protein shake with yogurt and banana in the morning, went down with zero issues. Lunch was fish with zucchini and tomatoes, went down with zero issues but a couple of hours later some stomach distress with pain, not severe, and without diarrhea. On the evening I had oats mixed with yogurt and an apple, and made a juice with blackberries and some grape. Everything went down with zero issues. So it was the 1st night in 3 weeks I could sleep without pain and bloating. It was just a matter of listening to my body screaming NOOOOOOOOOOOO! ENOUGH! at me while attempting low to no carbs, it wanted carbs. For some reason my body started rejecting all veggies and fibers. I was only being able to eat meats, egg and cheese. That is not sustainable. If I ate any veggies they would go straight through me, making me miserable. I don´ t know what happened, I Am one of those people who ate anything and everything with zero issues. Also very hard to hit 2k calories per day ingesting fat. When you are in ketosis you are not even hungry and have to force feed. It was already an accomplishment downing a mountain of chicken and eggs to reach my 130g daily protein need, which still left me below 1K calories. Trying to complement with fat argh, just thinking about it already makes me nauseated. I will try again but easing into it. I will start with low carb for a month, like 100 - 150 g carbs a day 1st month, then 2nd month go to 70g day, 3rd month 50g day and 4th month 20g day and see if my body won´´ t stop rejecting veggies/fiber when I drop to extreme low carb. I just know I don´ t wanna feel this slow endless torture ever again, perhaps keto isn´´ t for me.

There are a lot of spices that are ok on carnivore. I use Kinders or Meat Church brands. Just read the labels and make sure no added sugars, MSG or anything that says "Natural Flavorings" which can be grains or sugars are added and you should be good to go.

I personally think people should do what THEY feel best with. If that's vegan, fine. If that's carnivore, fine. I personally have done it all except carnivore and I'm still sick. Which is why I'm here. No, I don't like the idea of an animal giving it's life for me. But, I'm also tired of being so sick, for so many years. I can understand why some people choose this. I'm taking notes ✍️ and hoping this is what finally helps me with my health 🤞
Hello Laurie, I completely identify with you. I have been vegan for 18 years because I thought it was good for my health and I did not want to harm animals. During that time I developed heart problems and Sarcoidosis which is an inflammatory disease. 2 years ago while predominately raw I had a cardiac arrest in which I was dead for 2 minutes and had a massive stroke. I still refused to vary my diet and ended up with a pacemaker. After recently not being able to hardly walk due to water retention and not being able to breathe even after taking a few steps I told myself that I needed to be a priority. I have been carnivore now for only 4 days, but have already seen huge improvements. Today was amazing as I was not out of breath at all and felt so good. I volunteer at a local food bank and usually need help at my station, but not today. It was amazing to feel somewhat normal. Although I am still battling with my ethical issues, I am sticking to this. Good luck to you, I wish you the best!
@@ThisIsNotMyHome make sure to read or watch the do's and don'ts. there's a lot more to it than just animal products. Apologies if you already knew this.
@@btudrus yes, I'm here because I believe vegetables are probably a major contributor to my ongoing health issues. I'm easing into carnivore as I already feel so lousy, I need to transition into it so that I can try to adapt to the changes without too many strong effects. Which also means I'm more likely to stick with it. It's a lot to unlearn and then learn ( i.e., "Veggies are full of nutrients that are vital to one's good health." When, it's more like, veggies are probably contributing to the deterioration of one's good health). But I'm getting there. Slowly, but surely. I also loathe ANY type of seafood, organ meat, lamb, goat, squirrel, rabbit, duck, etc. I'm also not crazy about pork. So that basically leaves chicken and beef (and venison for just a couple of months out of the year). I'm disabled and am low income, so I don't have the available funds to buy expensive cuts of meat. I live in an area that limits my selection to basically Walmart, Sam's Club, and Winn Dixie. No butchers around, etc. So I do have some obstacles. But I guess I can do variations of chicken and beef for now. From what I've read and watched so far, it's recommended that it be more beef than chicken (beef being more expensive than chicken- ugh), because chicken has higher omega 6 and hormones.
I like the carnivore idea in a novelty type way not in a realistic practical way the way real carnivores do things. I get inspired since i love meat. I think i will incorporate it into a Meaty Mondays deal where we will eat like a carnivore every Monday. 🤤
Thumbnail pics alone was enough for me to want to do this! Have been thinking about it awhile and while I really want to give up dairy also, and do beef only, I think it might make my meals yummy enough so I could stick with it then go from there. Thank you so much. Cheese sauce might be good also over an omlette, or over fried eggs or egg muffins, maybe with crumbled bacon on top!

Hi :) Thank you for sharing these easy, delicious recipes. I appreciate you presenting this information in such a simple manner. A question, are the burgers thawed or frozen when you bake them? Have you ever cooked them from frozen? Thank you again :)
I was once vegan, then went vegetarian, now I am carnivore. Why? Results. I had and still have some moral hangups with eating meat, but it seems that without meat, my body gets too weak and sickly and I just can't maintain health. I've been on carnivore for about a month now (after getting out the hospital, for the second time in a month) and every day I am feeling better and better and I'm dropping off a lot of fat I had built up being vegetarian.
I hope you are doing well. We cannot help being what we are anymore than my meat eating dog can. Humans need the nutrients that are found in animal foods. We can wish it to be otherwise but we cannot change it. We are just a part of the circle of life. One day I will become food for living organisms too and this brings me peace to think about.
The one thing you can do is choose meats from humane, organic farms, raised and finished on pasture, grains-free. Further, you can find farms that use no antibiotics, etc. I don't know how the prices compare to each other, as I have never ordered meat online, but there are services that ship healthy, organic, *humane* meats IN-BULK, straight to your door, so you can stock up your freezer with little to no moral qualms. Yes it's true that animals' lives are harvested, but these farms are not the cruel factory farms from PETA's nightmares. These are the kind of moral, ethical, good farmers that my Grandfather and Grandmother used to buy corn from, etc. Meat, eggs and dairy without the torture. I've been seeing lots of videos featuring Butcher Box and Good Ranchers. There are others. NOT an endorsement. Again, I haven't tried any of these services, yet. I'm going to check my local Costco, first to see what they have. Eat ethically-sourced meats and set your mind at ease.
Right now they are killing cows, chickens etc. and trashing them to control what we eat! Have you noticed how hard Bill Gates is pushing the fake meat, stem cell meat and fda is pushing how bad animal foods are. Big pharma and big govt doesn’t want us healthy, seeing results on this diet scares them, the healthier and more proactive we are about our diets, the less $$ and control they have!!

You are probably correct in thinking it is just your sinuses but I wanted to give you a heads up that even young seemingly healthy women can have heart problems they are unaware of. Wishing you much health.
Ignore the triggered vegans, they haven't figured out what being healthy means just yet. Love this video!
I did the carnivore challenge last time and ended up doing 10 days, I loved it! I plan to start this challenge Monday 🥩
Keto and carnivore are the only diets that make me lose weight. Vegan I gain weight
For better flavor put your pepper on in the last moment of cooking. Pepper becomes more bitter as it cooks.
I never run out of energy too. When bedtime comes, I’m not even tired 😂
@@a-terrible-fate532 Exactly!
I’m just “starting” carnivore. But I’m using cheese and lettuce wraps to get through the first couple of weeks
We're supposed to transition slowly. My stools were loose so I'm slowing down even more
5 days in... 4 lbs down. I have 30 lbs I want to lose so I'm definitely looking for some unique ways to make my meat eating more enjoyable!
Some of y'all are quick to judge - sit down!

I found low sodium bacon at Aldi’s and it has no sugar in it in fact there are less ingredients in the low sodium one than the others.
Yes..I bought the ALDI uncured No Sugar, No Carb bacon! D'lish! I just started 7/1/23 and feeling good on my 3rd day!

Add bison and lamb, if your lactose tolerant add grass fed whole milk and grass fed whole milk dairy products. Just don't drink milk with meals, because milk is a meal in and of itself.
I just made duck eggs, they are delicious, made yolk and butter mayo to go with them, steaming eggs makes pealing them easy. I am Carnivore all the way and love it, recovering from not eating meat for over a year.
You made duck eggs are you a duck ???😮😂😂😂
After you steam, your eggs, take a spoon and hit them on each end and they’ll peel even easier!
I tried carnivore this week but had to stop Wednesday.😔 I got massive headaches at the end of everyday. I never have headache and these were intense. I tried adding more salt and increased electrolytes but nothing helped. It really did a number on me so I decided to stop. I haven't had a problem since. I would have loved to see what would have happened if I were able to complete the challenge but I gave it my best shot and that's fine! Its surprising how much I missed my veggies in those few days! Congratulations to all those who were able to finish the challenge!
Mandy Herrington hope your headaches are better, I too was not able to participate but I sure was happy to cheer on those who did!
The headaches are from the missing sugar in your body - i have them too in the morning now, and it goes away during the day, its 100% addiction to sugar. (for me, like if i drink a cup of coffee with sugar and milk, it instanly goes away, so now im doing a sloooooow down of coffee and sugar cause i dont like the headache either.)
Finally a video with a good menu selection for food ideas....
I am doing the challenge, last day, I miss veggies but as of this morning I'm down 3 pounds!

You need to make mayo with that bacon grease. Best. Thing. Ever.
There are a lot of spices that are ok on carnivore. I use Kinders or Meat Church brands. Just read the labels and make sure no added sugars, MSG or anything that says "Natural Flavorings" which can be grains or sugars are added and you should be good to go.
Girl, I would have fried them burgers in bacon grease after taking them outta the oven. I understand what you mean when you say you miss vegetables! I can't imagine doing carnivore but definitely keto cause at least with keto you can have buttered veggies❤yummy❤
You should try cabbage lasagna takes a bit to put it together but so yummy
Yep did the challenge also! Love me some meat but missed salads. I personally think I just feel better with some veggies in my life. Great meal prep. Those burger bowls looked so dang good yum! I do my bacon in the air fryer also! Have a great week!
I have heard it can take up to 6 months to become fully adapted to meat only, so if you stick with it longer you might find you feel even better without the carbs.
I don't eat that much hamburger and I don't eat bacon at all. I eat ribeye steak and eggs 3-4 times a week along with air fried chicken thighs, pork chops, and shrimp. I try to eat cheese only on rare occasions.

Why use cheese? Thought the point of Carnivores was to eliminate the processed foods?
@@tatsmcgee3712this is a bit over the top. You’re putting processed cheese on the same level as meat bought from the grocery store. They do not go through the same level processing…
@@tatsmcgee3712 That can be part the problem, but the problem isnt only in meats, malnutrition caused by grains for example. Gluten disturbs the absorption of many nutrients from other foods.
@@tatsmcgee3712growth hormone in beef is wildly exaggerated and still easily avoided. Canadian beef isn’t even allowed added hormones, and any true grass fed, like New Zealand grass fed will have nothing added whatsoever
*Boiled Eggs, canned fish and containers of diced bacon/sausages/meatballs are great.* I just heat it up, add some BBQ sauce and it’s a quick snack that has plenty of nutrients and can sustain me all day if I’m out.
How do you use barbecue sauce on the carnivore diet??
@@jdunnatl I personally only add it when I cook for other people too. I just suggested it because I would rather someone have a little bit of organic sauce if it means they can eat 99% animal based. Food is an addictions to the overwhelming majority of the population, hence, it’s hard to get people to transition because they crave sugar and unnatural tastes etc

No one whould be vegan, vegan is a detrimental malnoutrition and growing plants is destroying our planet...
From what I've read and watched so far, it's recommended that it be more beef than chicken (beef being more expensive than chicken- ugh), because chicken has higher omega 6 and hormones.
i fried my eggs with my bacon grease
Dr Ken Berry would tell you 'that ain't cheese honey !' (The slices) 😂🤣
Except the majority of sliced cheese is real cheese

those burgers looked good!!
Yep, did the carnivore challenge with you and found out, meat's great but love my 🥗🥗🥗 and fat 💣💣!!!!!!
