It will be funny when they remastered RA2 and Yuri's Revenge, they will make Mental Omega an Official Spin-Off Version or an Alternate Timeline where we get new Cut Scenes and with Returning Actors now following the mental omega story with no time reset time machine making Yuri a clown. In Mental Omega it really feels like the Epsilon is a very scary and dangerous faction. Imagine Epsilon and Foehn Campaign with Actual Actors in every mission briefing. It will be a fan's wet dream if that ever happens.
@Zegron Peixes Maybe if Westwood was never been bought by EA in alternate timeline if might be possible but we might not have Mental Omega in the First Place.
@@dragondragon5437 game style wise Epsilon is pretty fun to play as since they are a lot of micro and strategy to make instead of just spamming a lot of key units in other faction thought Foehn game style seems like the generation of Grizzly tank rush. I am not yet familiar with units but spamming a set of unique compositions can actually overwhelm your opponents and just a handful of infantry is also a threat for Foehn since they can't be killed by dogs and that's Tier 1 infantry.
Just thinking: would it be possible to do a video testing all the base defenses in MO? (Especially comparing the large defensive structures; Grand Cannon, Hammer Defense, Antares Battery and Neutralizer)
Another excellent mod that I suggest you to do test videos with, it is called Tiberium Crisis. It is basically taking the mechanics of C&C 3, and taking what is actually great about C&C 4, combine it, then port to the 2D engine RA2 and Yuri's Revenge uses, and make a brand new looking game. I played it, and I'm very addicted, it literally feels like C&C 3 in 2D with C&C 4 units, and it has all the mechanics from those games, like unit upgrading after killing an enemy (C&C 4), capturing husks of tripods and avatar (C&C 3), and putting infantry inside the Epic Units for extra weapons (C&C 3). The best thing about it is, once you beat the campaign, which btw, is roughly based on C&C 3 and a redux of the C&C 4 campaign, you unlock the RA2 factions. So a match between Yuri and Scrin/Traveler-59 is possible in this mod.
I find TibCrisis to be annoying. Unit sizes are too small especially for infantry and certain units are simply so large I had no idea where to click to focus them down. Certain maps are too dark because of the terrain and you can't see shit. I like the idea of TibCrisis but there are still a lot that needs fixing. Personally, I would mix the units to give a more diverse feel. Armor class needs to be abandoned entirely. If you want to shut Nod Offense down, all you need to do is spam units that counter heavies and medium vehicles. Makes the game so much more predictable.
@@microqueen69 For the dark maps. I wasn't sure what people are talking about first, then I realized why. I use a 32 inch Samsung Q50 TV as my monitor. This TV is capable of displaying 4k and UHD content, with a 60fps refresh rate, and it got the QLED technology, which is capable of displaying over 1 billion color gamuts. This kind of technology normally only available to the 55 inch and above TVs. Alright, bragging about my TV is over. Because of the colors my TV can display, I think that is maybe why the maps in TibCrisis don't look that dark to me. Some people might just be playing this game on a monitor with lower color quality, so the maps looks dark to them.
Not gonna lie. I kinda like Tiberium Crisis more than Mental Omega. Now wait until 500 mental omega fans come to me and say "make better mod urself" and insult me a fuck ton.
i`d be nice if sub factions have specific superweapons. America and Euro Alliance would have the mercury uplink as their superweapon while Pacific Front will have the Weather control device. Russia and Latin confederation would have the Tactical nuke. while China will have the seismic stabilizer or at least a smaller version. Psi-cops and Scorpion cell would have the psychic dominator. while Epsilon HQ will have the old Genetic mutator (acts as the same genetic mutator but also has psionic blast from the psychic dominator.) Haihead and wings of Coronia would have the Tempest Architect while Last bastion will have the Plasmarizer
Try using different Renderers in the Options settings. One of them might improve your performance, and if it doesn't, try one of the new ones that will come with the update 3.3.5 in the future. You might also want to combine various Renderers with the Windowed mode to see if it helps.

Not sure if you can integrate this but I would love to have keyboard shortcuts to make units/buildings like in C&C3, where you press F1 to create the first unit, F2 the second unit etc.
That’s what i don’t like about unofficial expansions, they’re not given enough thought or research to justify backstory, just more units that don’t necessarily mix up well. For a simple example, RA2 had allies with strong airforce, soviets with strong anti-air. Everything else was like that and that’s why it was successful.

I wish I could get into Mental Omega... but last time I tried, the devs of the mod seemed to have trouble understanding what "Easy" difficulty means and assumed I wanted to play on Brutal in the classic game...
At least that would explain why in the first five minutes of a Skirmish, the enemy would sneak SEALs in from behind, bypassing my meagre defences while also deploying radar-jamming aircraft and sending out massive tank assaults...
Meanwhile I'm looking at all the units and tech of factions I've not played before going "Woah... how does this all work anyway? Aaaaand there goes half my base..."
Trying playing the campaign at easy level where the units and the tech is limited in the early levels.
@@tg.Sacred
I tried one of those "Generals Challenges" on Easy and well, got stomped by artillery from cliffs...
I dunno, I got the same impression of difficulty from Tiberian Insurrection which everyone said was a great story, etc... it just didn't resonate right...
I eventually gave myself a trainer that gave me infinite power and money just to know what the heck is going on.

I wish this project gets more support
In Purgatory challenge everyone changes their mind.
Also the Epsilon adept
Loving this mod so far and IMO the best RA2 mod.
Tried this mod and damn, i liked Latin Con, Scorpion Cell and Last Bastion the most
Curious, does MO have lore? I really want to know the context behind it and Foehn's role in this.
You had to play and see yourself because i don't want spoil anything about Foehn.
The cleanest detailed presentation of 4 Factions. Goodjob
0:45 Yuri is so powerful that he pulled the Brotherhood of NOD to his side.
1:40 Hunter-seeker? I like hunter-seeker. Can I also get my chemical rocket to them?
3:25 Ah, so that's where the Titans are.
Euro Alliance has gotta be my favorite in this mod.
More Mental Omega content please!
ENOUGH!
(yuri can be heard crying in the background)
Scorpon cell is pretty much a Nod, but without tiberium (btw Kane does show up in red alert 1 story mission, so we know it exists in ra universe).
Foehn as faction is a GDI from other type of universe with better tech.
Scorpion's cell is more like GLA
Can someone tell me what music is this pls
That's what I'm comment too but no-one reply me 😔
Also: it's black ice 9 chaotic impulse
I thought u didn't play much MO but now u give MOre details information and tech tree of every faction. Keep it up m8. I hope u can play with us someday to understand more about this game
To me Mental Omega is entire RA story if done right. act 1 is basically RA2, act 2 is obviously YR and Origins is to me the true RA3
Epsilon is best faction for you???
@@dragondragon5437 game style wise Epsilon is pretty fun to play as since they are a lot of micro and strategy to make instead of just spamming a lot of key units in other faction thought Foehn game style seems like the generation of Grizzly tank rush. I am not yet familiar with units but spamming a set of unique compositions can actually overwhelm your opponents and just a handful of infantry is also a threat for Foehn since they can't be killed by dogs and that's Tier 1 infantry.
0:50 wings of corona

Ah yes. Now Corona can spread even faster using it's own wing
Just thinking: would it be possible to do a video testing all the base defenses in MO? (Especially comparing the large defensive structures; Grand Cannon, Hammer Defense, Antares Battery and Neutralizer)
lol, as always. Quality content tg, especially that ending
Maybe next video with vehicles that we can't get normally?
like super apocalypes tank
And super thor gun ship
i hoped u showe dmore of the subfactions then vaguely the tree. like their streghts weaknesses etc. or we get faction showcases soon?)
Boi, Try Rise OF the Reds, a C&C Generals Zero Hour Mod.
Epsilon and Soviets have the best soundtrack
@Noel T. Lat agreed
i`d be nice if sub factions have specific superweapons.
America and Euro Alliance would have the mercury uplink as their superweapon while Pacific Front will have the Weather control device.
Russia and Latin confederation would have the Tactical nuke. while China will have the seismic stabilizer or at least a smaller version.
Psi-cops and Scorpion cell would have the psychic dominator. while Epsilon HQ will have the old Genetic mutator (acts as the same genetic mutator but also has psionic blast from the psychic dominator.)
Haihead and wings of Coronia would have the Tempest Architect while Last bastion will have the Plasmarizer
The Thor Gunship tab looks a lot like the dropship from Aliens.
Very addicting game, specially their missions.
could you make analysys of each factrion units? its pros an cons

I have downloaded this but the fps was horrible for some period of time and when i go into a game, no hud was even there.
Try using different Renderers in the Options settings. One of them might improve your performance, and if it doesn't, try one of the new ones that will come with the update 3.3.5 in the future. You might also want to combine various Renderers with the Windowed mode to see if it helps.

Also check MentalSpeeder's UA-cam or Twitter. He constantly updates on Twitter.
So Yuri is proto Nod and Foehn is proto GDI?
yes

Is this a mod or an actual expansion pack?
Is a mod of Yuri's Revenge
Wow thanks for the information!
Oh my god. You actually do this too?
Mod for Yuri's Revenge without Yuri... Excellent...
They simply name "Yuri's Forces" to Epsilon Army, Yuri is still the head of the army.
Yuri isn't a playable character (probably because of game balance, I mean, mind control a building? Really), but he still exists on the lore as the 'Romanov/Dugan' of the Epsilon forces.
Yuri: (Sees army has broken up into factions like Nod after second Tiberium War) That will be enough!!!

How can I get this mod ?
So you sreach on Google mental omega and press on the website name mental omega.com
Then get into there and press that dowload button
After that you move to another website and press the dowload button again(don't press on the ad bc it fake)
And then you wait for it to finish
After it finish go into the file and move anything in it to the red alert 2 yuri revenge file (need version 1.001 to work) or copy it into it when you copying or moving 3.0 mental omega file into it always press replace all no matter what just press it
after it all done get into red alert 2 yuri revenge file again click into mental omega symbol that look like the one in the mental omega website (because i can't remember the name) and boom you done and now you can play mental omega
You can update the game to 3.4 version to get new unit, bug fix, some balance and play act.2 in the campaign by clicking the update button in the left corner in the mental omega menu but if it bug or error you can update it manually just go back to the mental omega website and try to find the button that said download 3.4 patch
Go into there and download it
After it finish take that patch file and then move it into red alert 2 yuri revenge file with mental omega 3.0 in it
when installing always press replace all no matter what
That all i have to say
