I'm 66 and have been having inner right knee pain for 6 months. Pain at level 6-8 most days when I do my fitness walk, yoga.... This 10 minutes demo that I did along with you has worked wonders. God bless you friend! You've saved me so much anxiety.
Over 4 yrs ago I had a total hip replacement, rt side. The surgeon shattered the greater trochanter breaking my gluts free from the femur. He corrected with a claw plate, wires and screws. Uphill battle, but getting around short distances with a 4-5 pain level. Now when I stand on that leg, there is a pain and bulge on the distal- lateral side of the knee which I minimize w/ an IT Band strap. How do I tell if it's the knee or a connective tissue injury to the IT band? This bulge is also closer to the lower end of the femur somewhat above the knee and goes away when the leg is unloaded. Very painful w/out support from tape and/or the IT Band strap in place.
@@jimhahn5799 Hmm. Good question and sorry to hear that story. You should be able to tell if it’s the hip by doing exercises for the hip and then seeing how the knee feels after. What may help your hip is, soft tissue work to make sure the appropriate muscles are firing, isometrics, nerve glides, hip mobility. Poke around my channel and see if working on those things helps the knee. If so great, if not try working on other exercises specifically for the knee. Hope that helps!
I have had a dysfunction somewhere that prevented me from standing up symetrically and I had recent right knee pain. I have tried many exercises focusing on muscles. I knew my left shoulder was dysfunctional but have never figured it out. The elbow circles in this video solved my right leg dysfunction. It was the left arm that couldn't do the elbow circles. The right arm could do them fine. With practice on the left arm I can stand in my shoes evenly and am upright with no right knee pain. Thank you immensely.
Actual exercises start around 10:12 after you’ve heard the information once, 2nd one at 13:33, and 3rd one at 20:15. I really value your information, but a time stamp would be so helpful for getting to the exercises after you’ve already heard it on your second time and beyond.
This is simple but amazing. I did one set of the arm exercise while sitting and when I got up to walk, my knee discomfort level is at a 5. This one exercise provided better relief than my 1 hour PT sessions. I will incorporate all the exercises daily. Liked and subscribed. Thanks
@@drewvanzee3063 i had surgery on my right elbow in 2011 and since then can no longer fully extend my arm (the last 10 -15 degrees or so are missing). I also developed knee-issues in the last couple of years, primarily on the left side. Should i still be able to benefit from the elbow-circles ?
@@nichts_und_niemandInteresting connection right?! Yes, certainly it will likely help you. Improving the function of your elbow is important. You can do that with nerve glides for that arm also
That elbow and knee exercises…. Wow, it totally worked! I wonder how long that lasts for? Went from an 8 to a 3 which is SO AWESOME! Thank you. I wonder if there’s something like that for the lower back?
Actually I don't think you'd want to work the left ankle only when you have problems with the left knee. My left knee is bad (petalla tendon rupture at age 20; torn meniscus at 51). The source of the problem actually was my bad right ankle, which lost a lot of mobility from repetitive ankle sprains from youth (basketball ...) I realized, only after the torn meniscus, that the limited right ankle caused compensations resulting in side-way forces to the left knee ...
@@JamesShau-x9i yeah good point. I try to simplify things as much as possible for people. But, obviously if you have a history of injury elsewhere that can certainly create compensations and impact your knee. Thanks for your comment.
@ He try it. But he was feeling much better before I saw this video. But for now just do rehabilitation at home and not playing soccer. He has a gap in the knee like a small gap, separated the knee and not full attack

My ankles feel stiff....so doing these exercises are very difficult but I realised that the pain on my knees is a resultant of other problem areas. Can a chiropractor help mobilize my joints so I can do these exercises
That’s great you are able to connect the dots. A chiropractor can be helpful for sure. But for the most part that is what we call passive care. You need to learn how to move your joints yourself, and be active yourself in feeling/moving better :)
I think it's wonderful that you explain that pain in one part of the body, could be misuse in another part. That is a fact as all the body is interrelated what happens in one part affects the whole.
