- Zanussi / Electrolux washing machine disassembly may be a bit tricky as you won't be able to unscre the back. If you want to repair Zanussi /Electrolux front-loading washer, for example to change a heating element, you might be suppried it opens differently than most models. This video demonstrates the proper and safe way to disassemble a washing machine and how to access parts that may need to be tested and/or replaced.

Thank you so much, just saved me a lot of messing about. I wondered if the plastic plugs were special in some way and didn't realise there were more screws behind them! 🙂

Thanks for uploading - very useful. One of those videos which isn't an obvious one to make but glad you did. I've got a different model to yours but the setup of my machine is the same. Great closeups which even showed me what size socket to use. Showing me how to open up my machine allowed me to fix it rather than throwing it onto the scrapheap!

@@k-nemo yes, I have a Zanussi ZE 12 washing machine for repair (replacement of drum bearings) and I didn't know how to do it without completely disassembling it :) do you know what bearings and seals are used in this washing machine?
I'm just dealing with one of these machines at the moment (stuck bikini wire between drums) - thanks for showing this unit, as no other guides are quite like this unit. My question is, if you know, how do you get the front off? Take off the back and the front after? Does this mean having to detach the suspension springs? (which seems like it's getting (more) serious fast!

@@k-nemo Thanks anyway - I've just managed to get the wire out through the heating element hole. Only took me all weekend (bet an engineer would have been worth it financially in the end). Now I want to remove the seal as it's atrociously dirty 😕
Do you know if it is possible to remove the front panel on this machine? I have a seemingly identical AEG/Electrolux Lavamat Turbo L14710VIT which needs a new door seal.
K-nemo do you have video of the bearings being replaced or drum removed for this model (zanussi f1045w)

@@k-nemo no problem. I just opened it. That's actually a lot easier. Just unscrew 4 screws on the back (from the side you want to open) and you're in! Note: the top screw is covered with plastic detail, so you have to use small flat screwdriver to make a rivet to let it detach.

I know but not all have the case open like that mine is just a plastic panel this just removes the back half of the case
well its a washer dry machine, with a jetsystem. if only zanussi machines was still built like this!!!!
