It’s the walk to the digi wall that is just slightly too slow and therefore leaves a couple of seconds of excruciating silence. Genius 👏👏👏
Partridge and dead air is such a great recurring motif, silence really can be deafening.
My favourite joke in this series
Never easy, timing a walk to a digi-wall.
It's those little touches that make it genius. The silence isn't ridiculously too long, it's just a smidge too long. It keeps it just believable enough that this could be real.
Wouldn't walking too fast to the wall cause extra time?
Simon is such a relatable & endearing character, I'm always rooting for him. Key adds so much with his perfect comedic timing, facial expressions, body language, the way he uses that sublime voice. A joy to watch & always hilarious.
He is a brilliant supporting part, probably in the same league as Michael the Geordie!
@@Springheeledjim5 love Michael!
Key’s poems are amazing too 😂 let’s start A Tim Key appreciation group!
He's my favorite character
Please can someone create a Tim Key Appreciation group!
Such a great talent x
Sweet wrappers falling out of Simon's pocket is one of my favourite moments in the whole series
Simon is me being observed on my first day at work.
That slightly badly timed walk across the studio was hilarious
“Same money though…” 😂😂
That look that Simon gives after Alan says "Well you can do other things". Lovely stuff!
Tim Key is absolutely perfect in that role.
I burst out laughing when I saw the three different phone icons.
The rewatch ability is absolutely off the charts. Brilliant.
Tim's comic timing is the best I've seen, absolutely perfect, Simon's relationship with AP is magnificent
The quality street wrappers are such a nice touch.
Crying laughing watching this! When the 3 phones came up 🤣🤣🤣 There’s so many great details in this- like the part where Alan’s said all the lines but still has to finish the awkward walk over in silence
You must like watching paint dry,it's complete rubbish.
@@colinhill4963 You must have had a comedic bypass. It's brilliant in every detail.
Who do you think is funny?
@@Isleofskye haha with Alan partridge was a thousand times better than this rubbish.!
@@colinhill4963 Partridge was brilliant but this is great, mon ami....:)
"Finally got that promotion, ma!"
Same money though
Simon was so quick witted and usually on the ball on Mid Morning Matters. But over time, working with Alan has reduced him to this.
First time I saw that I had to pause my TV because I was laughing too much.
Simons character is just perfect
"We could do other stuff" 🤣🤣
Any time I’m helping someone with something involving touchscreen I always say “Do it with conviction!”
Swipe off!
Brilliant
Simon became the saddest character in the show. You always feel a sort of tragic sadness whenever he appears
...haha especially with a touch sensitive screen!😆
Saddened but comforted
@@hmq9052 "same money tho I think.." 😂
Especially as Alan basically slowly ruins him. Simon is a lab technician who Alan overhears having mad banter with his friends in the pub. Alan makes him a co-presenter on North Norfolk Digital, but is very controlling and oddly possessive the whole time. Simon never seems to be justly remunerated for being a weird surrogate son and occasional whipping boy for Alan.
The last sad little 'Steve?' before he decides to go to the emails was sheer perfection 😃
Alan with Simon is a brilliant comedy duo.
Key is key in this series.
Alan and Simon are great together, hope they do more material for these two in the future.
…..Just put phone
Hahahahaha
Finally got that promotion ma!
“same money though” 😂
this show was genius and did not get the recognition it deserved
It's like he was born for the role
Genius 😂😂
"Stay calm" lol
I laugh all the rubbish that flies out his pocket
Its all sweet/candy wrappers making him look childish as he flounders. Such perfectly executed subtle comedy. Sublime.
that first tip though hahaha
0:34 "leave those bits in, it's a good calling card for casting agents"
Brilliant 👏🏻 🤣🥰
Incisive and educational. I learnt a lot from this.
You know it's going to be painful but you can't not watch.
If you like Tim Key check out no more jockeys, sooooooo funny
Hilarious 😂
Bird it
perfect parody of the utterly banal studio banter.
Wonder who got the power pack!
Yes, it’s an extender!
Steven Tent
Nailing the complete non function of much of today's technology-
Clearly the change is two pounds
Simon has let himself go!
2 pounds 😅
Simon, you should really stay drunk all the time please
Greata actors but crap script compared to afore stuff
Such a shame that you can see them reading their lines off camera.
Has Steve Coogan lost his funniness?
Are you on an E?
@@deesee6009 hahaha
Yes definitely .
No
fanny hair
I’ve adopted the ‘let’s do it; let’s fall in love!” As a phrase
Should I be concerned 😳🫣
They kicked him off the one show because he wasn’t very good with the IT technology systems
